I don’t want to brag or anything, but having Sundance Wine Cellars within a 15 minute walk of my house is pretty awesome. This shop is one of the best local foodie gems in Eugene. The shop is a big, single room, packed with shelves along the walls and aisles of bottles and cases in the middle of the sales floor. Designated sections are labeled by region or country. The slight cluttered displays do not detract form the overall experience. Sundance has tons of wine. By the bottle or by the case. Local, Domestic and International wines, Champagne and Sparkling wines, red, white and pink/rose wines, and a healthy selection of Ports and Sakes. Prices are very competitive to other SE grocers and run the gamut in terms of affordable(«pick up a bottle of a Italian red to supplement with a weekday dinner») to expensive«Holy sh*it, this bottle of Krug is equivalent to my dining out budget for 3 months!» What’s even better is the variety of choices available at all price tiers. If you are looking for help finding a wine or looking for something new, ask the knowledgeable staff, who are quick to make recommendations or give a sample from one of their several open bottles. Weekly wine tastings offer several selections available at a given time. *teeny parking area in front of the store– plan on walking from a close-by lot.
