Customer service was excellent. Employees were helpful, fun, & patient. The plain bagel with cream cheese was EXTREMELY blah and flavorless, the hot chocolates that I ordered tasted like steamed milk, & the lemon poppyseed muffin had a very strange texture. I’ve been looking forward to trying Humble Bagel for awhile, but was SO disappointed in the food. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, so I’m willing to give it another shot.

I know I know, 1 star is a really low rating, and I rarely rate that low but keep reading, this is justified. My buddy and I go to Humble Bagel to eat breakfast expecting a 30 minute in n out process. We order our bagels and then their machine stops working, so they have to take our card numbers down, which is honestly fine. Then we say down and waited. We waited 30 minutes before I went up to say something. The guy says: «oh yeah that’s on the gril right now!» I sit back down and then he comes back to say, «wait what did you order again?» … Dude lied to my face. We wait another 15 minutes before my food came out, I finished it and it was honestly subpar, eggs were overcooked. My friends food never came out, he went to the counter and told them to cancel his order and we left. We spent 1 hour there, I ate some crappy food after practically fighting for it, my friend got none. 1⁄10 would not recommend.

The kids that work there are snotty and they don’t follow the order. They often look confused as to why you’re even talking to them. No friendly smiles or hellos. In fact I thought maybe they were closing because they seemed mad that we were there. The floor was being moped and all the chairs were up but there was still over and hour and ½ of time before closing. The bagels are smaller! Way smaller and so hard that if you have TMJ or any other issues with your mouth you should probably stay away. It’s never been a friendly place(I grew up here) but it’s even more so now. I won’t be going back after this last time. I always regret going in the first place. I also won’t be buying their bagels from MOC anymore since they go bad as soon as you bring them home.

Definitely a decent bagel and the cream cheese mixes are tasty. Some adult staff in the afternoons would be sweet.

I went in there for coffee and a bagel with lox and cream cheese. Went to my table and waited fifteen minutes then went to check on the the progress with the order. They had forgotten about it. I even had to reassure them that yes, I had paid. They didn’t apologize. They seemed to feel it was no big deal or something that surprised them that this had happened. It was an unpleasant experience. The food was nothing special. I used to work at Lenny’s Nosh Bar and know what good lox tastes like. The place is also too dusty and dirty for my taste. I miss the old owners and they way things used to be at that place. I won’t be back.

Had a terrible experience with the brunette girl working this morning(Wed. June 3rd). She was rude to me and every other person in line. I was paying like $ 8 for a bagel with egg I expected at least respect from the people working the front. The atmosphere was unfriendly and they acted too hip and too smart for my business. I will never go back because of her!!!

Grew up in Eugene. And used to eat at humble bagel for lunch walking over from South Eugene High School, last visit was 1994. Came back in 2015 while visiting town and we enjoyed the expanded seating area and new menu options as well as 20oz latte! The staff was friendly and nice and we even said hello to the new owner! The food was fresh, warm, tasty and great! The only thing keep this from a 5 star rating was the cleanliness off the place. The rags the water cups sit on it really dirty, the kids high chairs are covered with layers of grime and the floors/tables and chairs are just very layered in accumulated dirt(eg area where booster seats are). I hope they can do daily clean and a weekly deep clean. We will come back again for sure and hope to see the improvements!

I go to humble bagel pretty regularly. It’s close to my house and a quick breakfast option. I’ll start by saying the food here isn’t the problem. The bagels are fine. However, the service is terrible. The people at the register are not friendly and we have a problem every time we are in there. Once, while handing us one of our bagels they dropped it on the ground and did not offer to make us a new one. Today, I ordered a bagel with flavored cream cheese and they gave me one with plain. I mentioned that wasnt what I ordered and the girl was unbelievably rude about it. I’ve given this place too many chances thinking it was an off day or something but I will definitely not be back.

I’ve been a customer here since I was five years old so I’m going to take a minute and revert to that age right now… The new owners took away marionberry cream cheese… You suck!!! Raspberry cream cheese? Really??? That’s for basic bitches. Also, teach your employees how to toast a freaking bagel for more than 30 seconds.

I love there bagels and cream cheese here! Price wise bagels w/cc is affordable but there scrambles and breakfast sandwich are so expensive. I left once w/3 breakfast sandwiches 1 bagel with cc and 2 small lattes for $ 36. I just think that’s a bit much for 4 people’s breakfast @ a bagel place. Ambience wise I personally don’t think it’s the best bakery I’ve seen they could use some TLC in that department. I will be a consonant customer though because there bagels are good I’m obsessed with bagels and cc.

I’ve been eating Humble Bagel’s since I was a kid… like that’s what I got packed un my lunches. I love their bagels from the store, but I feel like when I go into the actual Humble Bagel there seems to be issues. The first was an issue with my mother placing a large order of bagels ahead of time and when we went to pick them up they had no idea of the order and just gave her what they had at the time which was not much, and on top of it was almost flippant in attitude towards her. I am a huge supporter of local food companies, so I will still buy my bagels from them over some manufactured bagel company but not as enthusiastically as I once did. I did go to Humble Bagel today for a lox and cheese, and it was okay. The bagel didn’t taste very fresh and they added cucumbers to the mix which I found a bit strange… not bad, but strange. I have to say that I had a lox and cheese bagel at Bagel Sphere off of W. 11th and it was Amazing. Buttttttt, Humble Bagel is closer to where Iive, so there’s that.

Every time I’m in Eugene I try to stop in here for a bagel and coffee. They have their pumpkin bagels right now which are so delicious and moist, I also love their sesame seed bagels. The reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is because they seem rather disorganized and some people behind me had their drinks forgotten about.

Been going to Humble since I was in kindergarten and it is fantastic bagels and great food and coffee!!! I even worked there for a year during college and I can honestly say you are getting nothing but food with lots of homemade love. Employees are great and the business feels like a family. Yes lines can be long at times, but usually that is because it is lunch time or the weekend. Hey, that’s what happens when you have been a great bakery in a small college town for over 25 years!!! If you happen to come in during either of these times please be patient and friendly & you will get your meal with a friendly smile. The employees are even more stressed preparing all that food than you are waiting for it.

Bagel was good, coffee was decent, but the customer service was terrible. The girl making our coffee was rude, she refused to add vanilla to a coffee we ordered vanilla in. Said she would just remake it, and gave us the coffee without vanilla. Then proceeded to stand behind the counter and talk to her co-worker, when I asked her about the coffee she said she already made it and continued to argue with me. Then she just added vanilla to the coffee we already had!!! It was crazy. It’s unfortunate she works there, because we may go back otherwise.

Modest, serene, tasty. A bagel shop, in my humble opinion, should have a delicious aroma & fresh & chewy bagels. Check to both of these. The thing I like about this place is it’s calm and quiet feel. It’s not ornately decorated. It doesn’t have a ton of newspapers to read or anything to that affect. It’s just a place to pick up darn good bagels to bring home or to enjoy a delicious carby breakfast in peace. Lots of other breakfast places in Eugene are quite loud and exciting. If you are looking for serene, look here.

This place is amazing. On a 5 day visit to Eugene I ended up coming here TWICE. The bagels are so doughy and yummy. I had the green scramble which was pretty delish as well. Their pastries also looked fantastic. My favorite thing was that I went on a Friday and then came back on a Tuesday and the gal working remembered that I wanted soy milk in my coffee! That is excellent customer service. I was so impressed. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Eugene area!

Definitely not the best bagel in Eugene, not that there are many good ones. The bagels lack flavor and chewiness. I also hate that they get away with serving awful scrambled eggs. If you want a good breakfast for not much money, look somewhere else!

The humble scramble with a bagel is great value and super yummy! This a great little local bakery, and we had breakfast there. ordered the humble scramble and it was great value for money, but it was very scrumptious. Definitely worth the trip for breakfast. great décor, spacious, with free wifi. wonderful place to start your day! also, they have an extensive selection day-olds that are still yummy. bought a half-dozen of everything bagels for under $ 3, and been eating them for the last week.

Stopped in for a breakfast bagel and a coffee… The only customer in the place. There are two employees not working very hard and one in the back. One took a phone call in the middle of helping me. Took 15 min to get out the door. And… For a bagel place their breakfast menu is REALLY limited to 1 bagel sandwich. Strange they are still in business.

Five stars all the way! I love this joint — been coming almost every other morning for the last 2 weeks, plus have made multiple trips over the last year on any Eugene visits. I would love to have this bagels shop in every city I am in… Eugene, damn you and your luck for having this gem in your town! The staff is super nice and they treat me like a «regular» after about 3 morning visits. I feel like I’m at home. The bagels? Fantastic! I love the multigrain everything. The vegan pates are deeeeelish and I even eat the meat. I love the luscious marionberry cream cheese. Pesto sun-dried tomato cream cheese, say whaaaaat? I love the huger than your baby mama’s head muffins. I love their wifi, I love their triple americanos. The only complaint I have is that they should make a sweet vegan pâté(please note: the carrot almond pâté is savory), but they still deserve 5 stars in my book. Go on with your bad self, local bagel joint, you!
