A very unique dining experience. My food wasn’t very good and my husband didn’t like his either. It wasn’t too expensive, but I won’t come back. Every table had toy dinosaurs on them. Little kids are fighting over the toys and parents get aggravated. This place is chaotic and not my scene.

Fresh, healthy, tasty food; TOTALLYUNEVEN portion size. I eat here sporadically, & always get a burrito or Thai bowl – while pretty consistent in quality(good, non-greasy), the quantity fluctuates dramatically. My s.o. comes here pretty often, and mentioned the irregular servings. Last night, my burrito was noticeably smaller than usual – I came home and had a snack after. Slightly annoying for an $ 8 burrito: to me that’s the high end of acceptable burrito prices… might chose other places for more dependable meals. Also, SO glad they have wine now — ! Yay! But there again, the pour seems a little scanty, and is strangely served in teeny-tiny glasses that are filled RIGHTUPTOTHEBRIM, so it spills all over my hand as I carry it to the table. Super friendly staff; tables feel a little grungy and paint could use a touch up, so things feel a little ramshackle. In that vein, I always feel like skimping on portions is a sign that a restaurant is going down — but will see. Food is worth giving this another try before abandoning altogether. If dining at peak hours, probably a good idea to call order in ahead; gets super busy.

I love the paleo bowl! Everything tastes fresh and it has a comfy ambiance. Sometimes the service can be hit or miss but it’s definitely one of my regular selections when I want something healthy and fast!

Yum. Healthy, big portions, delicious. There’s apparently some of these in Portland, but I’ve never been. I will make a point to go there after my awesome lunch in Eugene. I had a burrito and my friend had a big bowl of veggies. Mine was amazing! I would have preferred a larger side of sour cream(they just dont understand me). Prices not quite as cheap as your typical mexican dive, but I feel pretty good about what goes in this stuff. All and all, a great experience.

This is one of our go-to places when we need a quick healthy dinner and don’t have time to cook. Lots of interesting options on the menu, regularly-changing seasonal specials, and reasonably priced for how much food you get. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. The kids love the food and the toy dinosaurs. They’ll make any of the burritos as a bowl if you, like me, can’t eat the wheat tortilla(the Holy Molé is awesome). The smoothies are great too. We usually get two to share among four of us, which is plenty and keeps it a little more economical. I find that both this location(29th& Willamette) and the Blair Blvd location are consistent and reliable.

Wish there were places like this close to our home. It’s quick and relatively healthy so I suppose it could be called healthy, fast food. It’s clean, lots of choices, food is decent, fresh and the staff is nice.

Delicious place for a bit of lunch, the Thai Noël was amazing. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and Kombucha on tap. Totally amazing place you can feel the love in the cooking. Slow as anything, you’d think they were growing the food and expecting you to wait…

Called in a multi-order for lunch, picked it up and there were many issues. I wasn’t sure whether or not to call… I mean what could they do really? I was already back at work across town. They offered me a free meal on them next time I came in and completely made it right. That’s all you can really ask for! They were incredibly busy and I’ll just check my order out before leaving next time.

I’ll let everyone else say all the good things about this place and just explain my missing fifth star: –½ star for: reallyreallyreally salty –½ star for: lukewarmness(food temperature, not emotionally or something) I should give a bonus star back for allergen care… excellence in Celiac knowledge.

One of my favorite places to eat in Eugene. Food is very healthy and very good. Staff is helpful too. Highly recommend Laughing Planet.

I wanted to like this but the bowl I got had veggies that seamed like they were frozen veg mix just microwaved, or at most heated with NO seasonings. The food was weird, unbalanced food combos and VERY lack — luster flavor. BLAH. Not for me.

On the plus side, the food is great: healthful and fresh. The prices are reasonable, and the employees are friendly. We placed an order to go. Apparently, our food was prepared and forgotten, because it lay on a rack waiting for packaging for about 20 minutes. That was the only bad thing about the experience. The gentleman who realized that our food had been sitting for quite some time seemed genuinely sorry for the error, but the waiting was frustrating all the same. I agree with Beth D., who recommends calling in your order and taking it home.

I love Laughing Planet, but I’ve learned a few things to keep it so I love this place. The food is healthy, fresh, and affordable. On nights when I don’t feel like cooking, this is my go-to place. We almost always call our order into the restaurant for take out. Their menu(and nutritional info! Yay!) is online. We get there right when the food is ready, and it’s almost always as we ordered it(once they messed it up). The few times we’ve eaten at the restaurant, we’re usually annoyed by the loud kids or the long wait, and sometimes they flat-out forget we ordered something, and it’ll sit in their warmer until they notice or we say something. Bottom line: eat food from here, but not at the restaurant.

When I came to this location with a bit of a spontaneous visit because I was in the area and thought I would give them a try since I have not before. When I entered I was very much out of my element. The air was filled with a aura of hipster-ism and a hint of douchiness. Even the staff had a vibe of «we are better than you!» I put that aside for a moment and decided on the grilled chicken burrito with the addition of sour cream and guacamole. By the way the addition was an additional $ 2.50 on top of the $ 6.75 for the burrito. That is 37% of the cost of the burrito, sort of outrageous. For that price you would think the sour cream came from a rare yak in the Himalayas that is milked once a year by Nepali monks and the avocados from a golden avocado tree on a tropical island in a cave that can only be reached by swimming through shark infested waters. Even with the steep price at the end though the burrito definitely needed the addition. After a bit of waiting I got the burrito and was on my way. From the outside the burrito looked quite appetizing. When I bit into it, however, it was extremely runny due to the beans, which were quite bland. The chicken had a good grilled taste, probably the best thing in there. If it wasn’t for sour cream and guacamole, there would hardly be any flavor. Was it the best burrito I ate? No… Is it worth the price of $ 9.25? Hell no… I am sure other people are used to paying high prices and don’t mind it since they are located next to Market of Choice, where everything is overpriced and people don’t mind paying it. For me Laughing Planet wasn’t up to the hype that it portrays. Will I go back? Probably not!

We came to laughing planet because we have a friend that has celiac disease and is incredibly sensitive to gluten. Tired of Café Yumm, we wanted to try somewhere else. So we came here. I had the Bubba burrito and my wife had the holy mole. Neither were all that flavorful. There were a TON of beans in each burrito. The sodas were good though, I think they’re housemade. All I know is that there weren’t any brands. Disclaimer: I like taco bell. I know that is somewhat taboo in Eugene, OR, where everything must be vegan, paleo, and gluten-free friendly, but I just don’t get it. So if you’re the kind of person that likes tasty food regardless of gluten or meat, I’d skip laughing planet. Maybe the soups are good or something, but it was just very bland.

Kim Chee and cheese in the same bowl is not something I thought would ever mix well. For some reason it worked when combined with their blend of fresh vegetables, beans, and rice. I can’t wait to see what new creations are on the seasonal menu. Picky Eater Compliance: 1. PASS: Small picky eater(daughter) She loves the strawberry-banana smoothies and asks to come here at least once a week. I’m hopeful she’ll try the food sometime. 2. PASS: Large picky eater(husband) The inventive dishes are in line with his familiarity of burrito bowls, but with a healthful twist. Score! A place we all agree on.

Super family friendly restaurant. Let me say that again: super family friendly. The food is not necessarily my favorite, but it’s hearty and healthy, and when my kid was younger, this was a nice go to where kids were quite welcome. I think when it first opened things were more flavorful than they are currently.

Loved this place! Good vibe and has cool art throughout the place. It is quiet and the service was great. We had the Soylent Green bowl for $ 9.50 which is: Sauteed kale and steamed broccoli on a bed of quinoa topped w/house –marinated tempeh. You choose three different sauces and we had the cilantro-pesto. It was a generous size portion, so we shared it and split a vegan cookie. The bowl was healthy and tasty. I loved the photograph of Frank Zappa and his family which was poignant.
