Laundromat

The place is fine if you come at off hours. It opened about 4 years ago, when I first moved here, and I have been coming pretty much once a week without fail.
I’ve noticed that when the machines break they never get fixed. For example this one washer has had a note on it for at least two years, where someone wrote that it broke down and nothing has been done about it. Dryers are also sometimes out of commission for weeks at a time.
There is a number you can call if things go wrong, but when you do they just say, «ok we’ll make a note of it» without even pretending to sound like they care. The change machine wasn’t working one night and I lost some money and all I got was an incredibly disingenuous «we’re really sorry about that» and, of course, «we’ll make a note of it.»
Unfortunately without a car this is the only place I can walk to, so I’ll just have to continue to deal with it.
