Steve helped me choose a gun for personal protection .I am a single woman. Steve was very informative and polite. I would consider myself an experienced beginner. I owned guns many years ago but didn’t practice shooting very much. Personnel at the shooting range, where I later practiced with the gun, told me that the gun was perfect for me and that they would have chosen the same gun for me. It is lightweight, not too much recoil and fits nicely in my hand. I was shopping on a Sunday. The store was quiet and we had lots of time to talk about and compare gun models. The background check literally took 5 minutes.
If you want excellent service with a wide selection of guns, I highly recommend that you drop by Manzama on a Sunday and ask for Steve !

EVERYTIME I’ve come in to Mazama they’ve been good to me. The red bearded guy AJ? Has always been full of knowledge and doesn’t treat you badly for asking questions. I’d recommend these guys to anyone in my family.

When in to find out about a particular gun I was interested in. And Steve who was working on Sunday the 22^nd help me tremendously, let me handle the gun, answered my questions and didn’t make me feel stupid despite my lack of knowledge because I’m a first timer/​A real newbie. I only wish that their gun prices weren’t so high because online I could save $ 89 off the price of price of what I want. If they would price match I would so go to Mazama.
That’s the only thing because I need to be able to get what I want without spending a fortune because there’s so many other things I have to get along with it. Frustrating because I would much rather purchase locally but that’s a big difference financially. But they are really great people to work with. No I hear you when you replied but the $ 89 was after transfer fees and a background check. It’s $ 119 cheaper before that. If it was closer to 400 I would pay the extra to go to your shop but 469 $ 119 more I know that you guys have overhead but that lot more money. I love to support my local stores, but my budgets also really tight because I also have to add it gun safe because I have a grandson. And I still have a second class I want to take. But I do hear you and I will think a lot harder on it. I know I inquired I’ve heard you guys do layaway and that might help but nobody has confirmed that

I have always had great service here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have recently gotten into building and they always have valuable information and parts that I really need for my rifles. They have even special ordered tools for me and given me great recommendations for the right tool for the job. Their selection is excellent, and if you don’t see what you need their online service is fantastic. I have utilized their website several times for purchases. This store has a lot of potential in this market, and I feel they are doing things right here. Enough of those big retail stores like Cabelas. The prices and service aren’t even close. If you’re a first time firearm buyer, looking to expand your collection or even want to build your own rifle this is the place to go.

The staff here is friendly competent and easy to talk to. They have a great selection and when they don’t have they get it for you. I highly recommend Mazama’s and will continue to shop there.

Today I bought my first gun at Mazama Sporting Goods, a Beretta 9 mm, and I have to say I couldn’t have had a better experience. The guys behind the counter, Erin and AJ, were some of the most helpful salesmen I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Not only were they both very knowledgeable overall about guns they were also very helpful in my tough decision for my first purchase even offering to special order a model that was not in stock and really trying to make sure I would not regret this once in a life time buy. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a new piece especially anyone who has little experience with guns and is in need of some assistance in picking out their first. I will definitely be back for future purchases.

The name of the shop has Fishing Pro Shop in the title. Foolish of me to think I could walk in and have fishing line put on to a fishing reel and walk out in one visit.

I shopped all over town for my first handgun, and was met with indifference at many local gun shops. As a woman gun shopping alone, with little experience with firearms, I felt like most people didn’t take me seriously. The first time I went into Mazama I had to wait a bit for service as the sales staff was busy with other customers, but when it was my turn I had the sales associate’s full attention. He took the time to discuss options based on the size of my hands, and functions I was seeking. I left that day with three recommendations for hand guns to shoot before purchasing. When I did come back to make my purchase, the sales associate remembered me by name and made sure I understood the function of each part of my gun, as well as how to disassemble and clean my gun and put it back together.
I have sent many of my female friends to Mazama and they’ve all had similar experiences. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

First, I have to say that I’ve purchased all my guns from here. Second, I’ve been to almost all the gun shops in Eugene and haven’t had the same customer service as I’ve had at mazamas. Since I’m a new gun owner the guys there even offered to show me how to clean my guns if I bring them in. The prices are fair also.

I don’t really care to hear f-​bombs when i walk in a store with my 4yr old. Empty store with 2 employees barely even acknowledged I was there, too busy chatting with one another, I did not buy anything and I will not be back!

If your looking for help with fishing, no longer the place to go! I stood in front of the spinning reels for a good 15 minutes and nobody to help me. They are all to busy with their guns. They are just standing there bs’ing about rifles while they watched me staring at fishing reels and not one of them thought to ask if I needed help. I will take my money else where. I wish I could give them «0» stars!

Had my gun shipped here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and decent inventory. No problems picking up my rifle. I was 45^th in line for a background check, and I only waited maybe 30 minutes. Great place.
