I love me some quick Mexican and have never been a huge fan of Chipotle which is probably Qdoba’s competitor, but I love this place. First of all the staff are all really nice… friendly and welcoming. You start cafeteria style and walk up to the counter and tell them what you want. The format is all the same — burrito, tacos, quesadilla, taco salad, etc — what meat, what cheese and what do you want on it style… I am not a fan of rice in my burritos etc because I feel like it is an empty filler food. I want the good stuff — the meat and veggies etc… so I got a burrito bowl(tortilla to me is also a filler food ha ha)… and I have them put a bit of rice in the bottom to soak up any juices… the beans — 3 to choose from: black, pinto or refried(I think) — love both the black and pinto. Then it is meat… I have had chicken and steak — both are fantastic. Portion of each is good. Then they ask what toppings which I go crazy with. They are always light with the lettuce but since I am having my similar to a salad I ask for more and more. The guac is free on top of it all! YES… The pricing isn’t exactly free but it is somewhat reasonable. Get a burrito bowl and drink for $ 10-ish… the queso with chip is $ 4 or $ 5 but YUM!!! Hint #1: GETQUESO it is Ah-MAZ-ING!!! I always get queso and chips on the side. First time I tried it I got the hot queso. It is HOT… it grows in heat the more you eat. Its awesome but be prepared because it is addictive and my mouth was pretty well burnt to smitherines when I was done… ha ha Hint #2: Think outside of the box — don’t just get a taco or quesadilla unless that is what you really want… try a burrito bowl — YUM Hint #3: This place has awesome catering and the catering manager is fantastic with both the order and the follow up to make sure it was done right. I will definitely use them again! Not only is it close to my work I am definitely going back because it is delicious!

Definitely a favorite of mine, but I must dock stars for customer service. In the restaurant it seems like the employees go through the motions and don’t really listen to what you want but rather assume(and they’ve put the wrong toppings on). Also, be careful when ordering Qdoba on hungry ducks. The third time my order has been messed up when ordering online. No attention to detail.

I came here the other night just for chips, queso and a soda. The line took about 20 – 30 minutes to go through because the worker was working on a delivery order, and so there was one person working with all these people waiting. They didn’t even apologize for the wait and the lady at the register looked like she hated her job. I got a soda and I figured the soda machine would be working, well it wasn’t. So I bought a soda but didn’t get my soda and they told me I could wait 45 minutes for it to work again. Wait what??? This place is absolutely horrible and I’ll never be back. Don’t sell a customer something if you know the machine is broke.

I am raising my star rate because I just received in the mail 4 free entrée cards, which I plan to share w friends who want to share their opinion of our food. I know I haven’t tasted anything new yet, but when I do, I’ll adjust the stars accordingly. I appreciate that the general manager included a handwritten note and made it right. — — - Ok me and a friend each cashed in a free entrée ticket — she got the beef nachos and I got the combo nacho and 2 soft tacos. First off the chicken and beef in the tacos were both excellent. My friend also liked her shredded beef. However we were both wondering why the food wasn’t hot. It was like warm at best. It’s like they need to turn up the heat in their steam bins(it’s a Chipotle style set up where they ask what you want on your tortilla or chips as you go down the line). The real cheese on my taco didn’t even melt. But that said, the flavor of the queso, pico and salsa was great. The second mistake and reason I didn’t give 4 stars is although the service was friendly, she had to explain to each of us(we went through the line separately) that no one old enough to serve alcohol was there so we couldn’t buy a bottle of beer they had on the menu. It was 7:15 pm on a Friday night and no one of drinking age is working there? They lost $ 10 in what we alone would have spent so that’s unfortunate for them. I’ll go back, but I think I’ll ask them to be sure whatever I get is hot. Barely warm doesn’t cut it with Mexican food, even if it is delicious comfort food… Fix those problems and I’d gladly give them 4 stars(atmosphere is too fast food for my liking and the menu pretty limited so 4 not 5).

I used to go here every now and then for a taco salad. They are made well here. Really crisp with a lot in them. I like the chips and salsa. And the customer service is very efficient. I can’t speak for their burritos, etc. because I don’t order those. It is good, quick Mexican Food for lunch. If you want an excellent Taco Salad hit up A Bite of Mexico in the EMU at the U of O on a Tuesday sometime.

The staff is very nice and it’s always fun to come in. The food is great for a quick meal and I always leave very satisfied. I live for the queso

Our first Qudoba experience was in Minnesota and was sooooo excited to discover that Eugene has one! My only concern is that the chicken is sometimes burnt… however tonight’s visit was a good one! Naked Chicken Queso!

Me and the hubs were ogling The Oregon Duck Store across the street when we realized we were starving. It looked like Qdoba was just setting up for the lunch rush as all foods were freshly stocked. We both ordered burritos; steak for him and for me, chicken with black beans, rice, queso, sour cream and guacamole, pico de gallo salsa plus another salsa that the server said was their spiciest. The burrito was enormous and I ate about 90% of it so I’m basically writing this review while in a coma. It was really good but it seems like the rice that goes into the burritos is always cold. I like heated rice in an all together heated ingredient filled burrito. Other than that, a very yummy cheesy and spicy lunch!

Awful. I normally don’t mind Qdoba but this location is messy, disorganized, and dirty. The counters are always full of dropped food. I noticed their meats aren’t cut properly, leaving huge chunks. Their steak is always overcooked. Their guac is never mashed properly, with huge chunks of avocado everywhere. Just no. Like another reviewer said, take the time and drive to Chipotle.

This place could easily get a solid 4 stars if it were possible to get an order right. Whether through the phone or on-line they screw something up every time. Its not like you can pill the burrito apart to check before leaving. Ill attribute this to the fact that every time I go in there the majority of the staff is so blazed they don’t even know where they are. This is sometimes a major plus because when they’ve got the munchies they’re going to make you a killer burrito. But usually you just get a screwed up burrito.

I didn’t realize that so many people dislike this place. Well, I never order burritos. Instead, I am crazy about their three cheese nachos with shredded beef! Oh I guess I can’t live a good life without it ;p Servers I met are all very friendly and helpful. Will still often visit this place: D

OK I guess. I’ve been here before and I’m sure I’ll go again at some point. It’s definitely a «meh» There really isn’t another fast Mexican place on campus now the Burrito Amigos closed. Today I had a chicken salad which I would describe as adequate. It’s a chain so it’s not like I have any reason to expect more.

To My Annoying Roommate, I’m tired of you leaving your Qdoba trash out the day after you go to the bars. I like going there after the bars too because it’s one of the only places open late, but it’s really annoying to wake up and see leftover burritos. I don’t really care for this place, cause the food is less than par. It’s kind of like a Subway, but instead of sandwiches, it’s burritos. They have other things like chips and salsa, quesadillas, soups, tacos, etc. but there are definitely better Mexican places to eat. The only thing I like eating there is the Taco Salad. When it’s in season, the Mango Taco Salad is really good. Supposedly it has healthy options on the menu, but still, it’s mainly convenient… Yours Truly, kaibemi buks

Meh. Is it lame to spend 3 minutes on Unilocal writing a review for a place like Qdoba? If so, call me lame. You are in Eugene, you are near the campus, you are starving, you duck into this place. You won’t regret it, but you won’t really remember it ten minutes later. They’ll mix together their two hottest salsas if you want it ‘hot’ and they turn out pretty well together, which is the best and only notable thing I can say about it. About as good as Chipotle, and vice versa. If you really want burritos and aren’t starving and near campus, there actually are many other options in Eugene.

There are many good things about Qdoba: 1. Salsa(especially Habanero when combined with Pico de Gallo) 2. Information(calorie count, menu diversity) 3. Portion(huge huge portion unless you got bad server, which is never for me) 4. Buy 1 Get 1 Free Coupon from Survival Guide(love this) 5. Great breakfast items 6. Fundraising Opportunities. However, Qdoba is simply another Mexican Fast-food chain. It is nothing special. I love their food because of the salsa, without which I will go elsewhere. Many other places have the tastier wheat tortilla. Qdoba doesn’t have it. Other places have special menu. I haven’t seen any changes in Qdoba in several years, except for Mango Salsa, which magically disappear every single time I was there.

So, okay, it’s clearly not delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. It’s more like a Quiznos, but with tacos, burritos, etc., instead of sandwiches. That said, the chicken tacos and the chicken quesadillas are both pretty tasty, and they have decent salsa. Portions are big, too, and the location is really convenient — it’s right across from the UO bookstore.

Since i’m from Southern California, there is a place called Chipotle… which is the same thing. The only thing that i didn’t like about this place was the hot sauce. They did not have my smoked Tabasco sauce which made me sad and so i had to use an alternate. The service was a little slow, but it got up to it pace after a little while. I felt bad for one of the workers when he had to replace the black beans. The hot bean juices spilled all over his hands when she picked it up. It must of burned.

I didn’t come expecting a fine ethnic dining experience … just a tasty, filling morsel to chew on while I put my feet up after spending 3 ½ hours perusing all three floors of the UofO Bookstore. BINGO!!! I found just what I was looking for. It is a chain restaurant, yes; fast food, yes. Did I mind? No. Starting with the cilantro rice mixture on a whole wheat tortilla, we stacked on some black beans; carnitas; fresh salsa with tomato, onion, tomatilla & herbs; guac & sour cream. It weighed at least a pound and I didn’t think I’d eat half. Before I could burp, it was gone and I was quite pleased! I then seated myself outside, and fired up a cigarette(a big No No these days) and waited for my daughters to pick me up, which they did, looking lovely after their frou frou hair appointments in another part of town. This isn’t 24th Street in the City and I wasn’t expecting authentic fare. This is Eugene, Oregon … known to be green, not a culinary mecca. 3.5 Stars!
