My favorite hot dog place; in Eugene or otherwise. I moved away and during my one day back visiting Eugene I made sure to get Red Five. They’re usually at Ninkasi on Saturdays but you can find them on Facebook to track them down during the week. They have about 10 options for sauce, two or three dogs, and about 9 toppings to choose from.

Was surprised over the cost, but really blown away by the hot dog I devoured. It was awesome to say the least, with every possible way to top my dog… real jot dog, nothing like your convenience store dog. This is top quality all the way.

What a wonderful food cart experience! The guy operating this little cart last Saturday night on Ninkasi’s heated patio was super friendly and peppy and speedy(all at once!) in creating my requested concoction. As it turns out, you can add up to 20 condiments to your hot dog(or bratwurst) for no added cost. Awesome, right? Options include cool bacon bits and shredded cheese, which I personally chose for my all-beef Oregon dog. I checked in on Unilocal after I got back to my bench seat and noticed that there was an offer for free chips with the check in, but I didn’t bring my phone back up to the cart. After all, that quarter pound dog was quite filling on its own!

Great dogs, great service and they’re always around where I want to be. $ 4 for a dog with everything imaginable to put on top. The people are super nice and willing to work with drunk people, which is important when posting up in front of a bar. Highly recommended this awesome cart for an inexpensive fix for those alcohol-fueled late night cravings.

Great Hot Dogs and friendly ownership. Very nice Chicago style boiled hot dog with a steamed bun. Lots of topping and sauce choices. Chips and sodas are available as well. This is a great fast stop for a hotdog lunch with enough on it to make it a meal.

My fist experience with RFHC wagon was at the Blair Alley Arcade in the Whiteaker district in downtown on a Friday night. All I have to say is this; New York ain’t got nuthin’ on this guy. Exceptional. Wonderful condiments, perfect sauerkraut, perfect size. I had«The Enlightenment», which is basically all the works. Totally freakin awesome. $ 4. Yep. 5 stars for the Red Five crew!(Note: During the work week, he’s usually across from the Hilton Hotel on 6th)

Tried their hot dogs while out having a beer at Ninkasi tasting room. I am pretty sure he said he was going to be there every Saturday, but I’d call to make sure. Best hot dog in Eugene! Plenty of toppings, they even have dill relish(not the sweet kind). Local Oregon hot dogs! Support local businesses, especially the tasty ones! I am pretty sure it was only $ 3.75. He’s somewhere downtown too.

Man, if you havent had a true hot dog from a Chicago or New York hot dog stand, you wont understand just how good these dogs are. Choice of toppings, great suggestions, fantastic service with a smile. Just the perfect place to stop for lunch if you wanta a little big city experience in Eugene. Jeff shows why people all over the States know that hot dogs are so much more than just camping food. We get our dogs, drive to the park, and enjoy them with a view of the river. Its a lost art and nostalgia brought back to life.
