You know, chain restaurants don’t get a whole lotta love in these parts. I’m here to give some kudos for the delicious meal I had the other day, Crab linguine Alfredo. Yeeeeeaaahhhh. Full portion. Absolutely LOADED with crab and rich, delicious Alfredo sauce! Not all teeny tiny little shreds either. I’m talking good sized clumps of meat, and decent sized chunks of leg meat as well. I think there was some cheese on top too. I’m a little piggie and I couldn’t even finish it. Naturally, the biscuits were included and we couldn’t let those go uneaten :-)

Good food. Fairly fresh seafood. Very friendly staff. I love when I find a go to restaurant in a city I visit a lot. I’ve been many times and will continue. No it’s not five star seafood but your not paying 5 star prices either. It is however 5 star service.

Stopped in for dinner tonight. I’m always reluctant to write a review on a chain restaurant because in theory they should all be the same anywhere you go. I got a special 4 course deal which included a soup, salad, dinner and dessert. The clam chowder wasn’t amazing, but perfectly edible. The free lobster biscuits were also warm and fresh and pretty tasty. The caesar salad was a total bust though. It had obviously been made hours before and put into a VERY cold refrigerator as the lettuce was quite wilted, brown and devoid of taste. The dinner of shrimp scampi was pretty good as was the dessert. I also got a cocktail for $ 7 which was also fine. Service was okay, but nothing to remember the next day to want me to come back anytime soon.

Now this review is based soley on the 2 best food extravaganzas around… Lobster-Fest and Shrimp-Fest. Both are delicious and awesome. The help staff is always nice, even though I’m there on what has to be their most popular and busy specials.

Took my Mom here for her birthday and had a great time! Good food, good service, and they sang to Mom which she greatly enjoyed.

Ok– so it’s Red Lobster. If you come here you know what to expect. Endless shrimp season brings me back every time. Great food, reasonable prices– biscuits that you can’t beat. Also– 5 Star friendly service from Cassie! Sit in her section and you won’t regret it. Friendly and efficient. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the kids portion Mac n cheese was not nearly enough food. The chicken strips worked for my 8 year old but my 4 year old left hungry!

Ok I love this place, John is a great bar/server when we go to this town we eat here. It is close to the mall and Eugene so you can shop and eat. Lobster tails grilled, order the extra pour in your drink if you get one from the bar, it’s basically a double for cheaper. Shrimp scampi ROCKS! We sit in the bar at a table the first one on the left when you walk in. Good staff and clean bathrooms

Best time we had here! Waiter, Jason, and other waiters were very helpful & friendly. My daughter in law was busy with her baby so waiter took the time to take out the crab meat from the shell so daughter in law could eat with one hand. Also waiter took our last order for a take out Thank you RL!!!

So we sat for 15 minutes with our menus closed and our phones out while the waiter helped everyone but us so we just sat and waited we waited so long we almost got up and left, we didn’t even have biscuits yet…

I set foot in a red lobster, just this once, due to a free gift card and a temporary laps in judgment. I do not understand why anyone would ever go here when Eugene has so many delicious non-chain restaurants. Service was ok and the place was very clean in that we-have-a-regulation-checklist-of-cleaning-we-must-complete-while-supervised sort of a way. The food though… Not a fan. I had heard of these mythical cheddar biscuits for years, but to be honest, they were kind of chalky and totally lacking in all things cheddar flavored. It makes me wonder if what must have been a biscuit mix was simply not prepared right. I hope so, otherwise Americans are kidding themselves if they think that that is a. food and b. good. The coconut shrimp was like eating little erasers coated in pure sugar with a bit of added artificial sweetener. The entire dish was very reminiscent of Louis C.K.‘s description of Cinnabon icing. All in all, pretty awful. I would suggest you go nearly anywhere else.

Came here because we got a gift card. We sat in the bar and had great service. Ordered the 4 course meal and everything was delicious. My husband and I both had plenty of food, and the biscuits were so good. Dinner can get very spendy here quickly depending on what you order, but the meal deal was great. It included soup and salad, an entrée, and dessert. The environment is quiet, warm and romantic, and my husband and I had a good time. This is a pretty safe go-to place if you want a nicer dinner.

Fairly good food though a bit expensive if you don’t get the running specials. Got a shrimp deal for 15 bucks and it was fresh and delicious.

Marginal seafood, typical chain food. Took my daughter there for her birthday because she wanted to try lobster. Server looked like she had a crack problem and completely ignored us for the duration of our meal. I ordered a second drink when our food was served and I was told rudely by my server«can you give me a minute?». I never saw the drink and considering they don’t provide water, I ate my meal without a drink of anything. The deep fried vegetables were raw, which they refunded, but not after arguing with us that ‘that is how it is served… «(cold and raw?). When it was time to settle, the server said she is getting a manager to come up and discuss the issues. Needless to say I was completely turned off at that point and had the family go to the car so I could get the check. The manager came and wanted to discuss the issue. I said«just get me my check and I will leave and write this off». He said«No I want to talk about this». I said«give me my «f“ing check». He said, «you don’t need to use that kind of language». I said, «Evidently I do». You get the idea… So, over priced, marginal quality, piss poor management and my server sucked.

I really want James L. to write this review for me. I had a bad experience and I just KNOW he could write a funny yet biting review. The main problem: The waiter gloved up and mauled my crab! I did not need help, at 40+ I am experienced in the way of crab cracking. I was stunned into silence and my husband’s chin plunked against the table top. Never have I experienced such audacity by waitstaff. The other problems: Dirty seats, a deep fried label in our calamari, under cooked broccoli, and a perpetually empty water glass. The décor is nice, the lighting is relaxing, and the restroom is clean.

How the fuck do you make shrimp scampi taste so bland? How do you recreate a dish swimming in butter and garlic and make it taste like unseasoned, boiled shrimp? Are you trying to bore the shit out of me? I wanted to like you Red Lobster, I did. It pisses off my foodie friends when I gush about a chain restaurant’s horse shit such as yours. I had to try the Endless Shrimp special because I worked at Sizzler in college( ). Back then, we sold Steak & All You Can Eat Shrimp, or Steak & Aychie shrimp as we called it behind the counter. They’ve since softened the name to «All You Care to Eat Shrimp» when in fact it should be called«All the Deep-Fried Shrimp You Can Stuff Into Your Fat American Mouth». But I digress. Let me tell you about the shrimp dishes at Red Lobster. I ordered two more after the first two sucked. Hand-Breaded Shrimp: without flavor, served without lemon Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp: well-cooked and slathered in a banal sauce that has never heard of Asia Shrimp Linguini Alfredo: pasta cooked a little under al dente(fine with me), decent little shrimp, and a sauce straight out of a Noodle Roni sauce pouch. Garlic Shrimp Scampi: I don’t think they even use real butter on this one, which is nuts considering many dinners run $ 25. And no flavor. Can’t you salt it and add some fucking garlic to my Scampi? Service was warm and genuine in both the bar and dining room. Other than that, you suck Red Lobster.

My experience here was decent, if not good, if not great. I was surprised that I liked the Red Lobster so much. I like the biscuits. I tend to like shrimp and I ordered one of the seasonal specials. I’ve always been hesitant of going to Red Lobster because it’s a commercial restaurant and it doesn’t have that genuine feel to it. Despite that, I got over it and found that the food was pretty darn good. Probably better than most smaller joints in town that prize themselves on organic, sustainable, local, etc etc. The service was good, but the wait time sucked! If you’re patient and don’t mind waiting to get seated then waiting some more for your food, then this is the place for you. The seafood prices are steep too, but the food is of decent quality.

We’ve been trying to have a night out for a while now. After a few hours of pool and drinks we wondered over to Red Lobster. Apparently the rush is mainly from 5:30pm to about 8:30pm. We got here around 9:30 and were seated right away. During the rush you can expect a wait of 30 minutes. They don’t do reservations, and they wont allow you to call ahead and put your name on the list. First person, first serve. I have to admit, I was tanked. I couldn’t quite remember what I ate until the next day when I found the receipt. My wife and I both had the special which was Grilled Lobster and Shrimp with mashed potatoes and cheddar biscuits. Now, it’s true… I was hammered, yet I remember eating my food and thinking, wow! This isn’t rubber like the last time we ate at a Red Lobster. The cheddar biscuits were awesome, the taters weren’t all that bad either. Perhaps it was the whisky that allowed the food to be a touch more palatable, but none the less… it was enjoyed. My wife remembers a lot more than I do, and she loved dinner. She wants to go back in a few weeks in fact. It was $ 19.99 for the dinners, making a $ 40.00 bill in total. We were happy with what we had and even took extra cheddar biscuits home with us for the next day. Which I devoured. we’ll give her another shot
