Friendly service. The girl with the red glasses was great. Sux I forgot her name. She recommended the meat lovers pizza with pepperoni, bacon, Canadian bacon, and lamb bacon. It was great. I had the perry cider awsome.

First timer here, this place is awesome… the meat lover’s pizza is super good especially with the lamb bacon! The beer was great«juniper jubilation» and our waitress was really nice and helpful, she gave us a bunch of free drink samples! 5⁄5

I was in here with my husband about two weeks ago and the service from one of the servers was snobby as hell and rude, extremely inappropriate the way she was speaking to her co-worker loudly about personal things! The beer selection is good and we enjoyed probably the best pizza i’ve had in Eugene! So delicious I will be back in for that anytime! Hope the servers are a bit nicer!

Extremely disappointed. This place came recommend from friends. Food was way over priced for the portion size and was not very good. A small beer selection was also a disappointment. The atmosphere was decent but a large group was overly loud so we were unable to hear the blue grass band playing in the corner.

Waited forever for my food — only to be disappointed. Blah, boring salad and a burnt panini, not my first choice, but they were out of all pizzas by 6pm on a Tuesday. Kids running around being obnoxious while their parents drank.

Enjoyed a great night with friends here. Good beers and while the food menu is limited you can find something you like and it’s good. I had the grilled cheese panini with bacon. It was SO yummy and it came with a side of potatoes and fresh strawberries.

We are visiting from out of town, but luckily stumbled upon this fine example of Oregon craft beer combined with unique artisan food. Hands down, it was the best burger I have ever had! a combo of multiple ground meats, including double ground bacon. Toppings included house made pickled onion and aioli. no ketchup wanted on this fine burger. I got to complement the chef and her humility was charming. great place! only downside is it’s an 8 hour drive from the CA Bay Area.

The beer was great. Loved all brews, but the Margarita sandwich soggy with only a small amount of cheese a tomato and no flavor marinara sauce. The serving was a small portion with bagged chips for $ 9. And service was non-existent.

In the great tradition of brewery and food-cart combinations(e.g. Ninkasi, Oakshire), we can now add Sam Bond’s Brewing to Eugene’s repertoire. I accidentally discovered SB while breezing through Eugene several months ago. Even in that short time they’ve started to flesh out their operation. The first thing you will notice is that the area is very pristine, even with construction. Cool-looking but lifeless buildings look down at SB’s wood-paneled abode. It’s a little island of quiet, and best of all, parking was not an issue either of the two times I swung by. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk is perfect for catching rays. The beers suffice. Good microbrew stuff. Atmosphere is pleasant. Seems like a locals’ hangout in that everybody there appeared to know one another. The newness of everything is what grabbed me. Saying all that, it’s still hard to get a definitive read on them. I like food carts in general, but their unpredictability can be a turn-off. Case in point, another brewery I swung by had a cart specializing in wings. Which I love, but at that particular moment was not what I sought. On my second venture to SB, some Costa Rican dude was setting up his cart. But, he wasn’t open yet, we were starving, and hence in a dilemma. Hopefully they can get that sorted out. Still, thumbs up. They are off to a good start.

Great location in downtown Eugene just off the beaten path. Terrific patio area to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. They’ve also recently opened the kitchen and offer several food dishes that go beyond traditional pub fare. I recommend the salmon and asparagus. It also serves an array of beers in conjunction to a cider to appease those with a sweeter palate or those who prefer gluten free.

I’ve had great experiences every time I’ve gone to Sam Bond’s. It’s a classy urban rustic space. Drinks are reasonable, pizzettas are delicious, and service is consistently friendly, prompt and accommodating. I’ve also loved seeing how they’ve partnered with community groups recently: Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network and their annual Beats and Brushstrokes event, and the Museum of Natural and Cultural History’s Ideas on Tap nights. I love attending Ideas on Tap, and it couldn’t be held at a better place! I can’t wait to see what other musicians and events Sam Bonds brings in.

«He likes it! Hey Mikey!» Let me start by saying that I was not super sure I would enjoy SBB. Although I have been to the Garage a handful of times to see a band here and there since moving to Eugene in 2000, it was not my favorite spot. I always found it kind of claustrophobic and the service lacking. However this is a not a review of SBG. I’ll focus :) It is a little bit out of the way compared to other breweries, but not so far off to make it a chore. We popped in prior to a show @ The McDonald. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise. What a nice little joint. Roomy and relaxed, very comfy vibe. There were a couple of folks(looked like U of O Professors to me) playing a quiet little bluegrass jam, which was enjoyable not too loud, not in your face. Nice. The beer tender was friendly and really made good recommendations for us. We were never waiting for a beer. The place was not crowded at all, maybe a total of 12 people. There was a food cart outside that had decent fish and chips. They had a few snacks available. No other food I could see. We tried the Citra Crankshaft IPA(7.1% ABV/64IBU) & we both liked it. The Up Tempo Ale(5.8% ABV/38IBU) was also decent. Liking reds I went for Mel O’Reilly’s Irish Red Ale(M.O.I.R.A.)(5.3% ABV/18IBU) and the Indie Red Ale(6.9% ABV/48IBU) Overall agreeable, quite drinkable beers. We’ll be back.

I like this place better than the one in the Whitt. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the Sam Bonds in the Whitt, but sometimes I long for a mellow experience. The place isn’t crawling with a bunch of immature fools and is a little more low-key. They typically stay open until 10PM which may account for the demographic they attract. A nice place to go for those who want a more relaxed experience. The bartender that I’ve interacted with on more than one occasion could work on multi-tasking. He seems to get sucked in on conversations with customers which is fine, but not when it impacts the wait time for several other customers. He could work on being more attentive to the whole bar rather than what is going on right in front of him in any particular moment. He is super friendly and eager to assist so it’s not for lack of interest. I don’t really like the beers that much. The ISA is good. That doesn’t mean the other beers aren’t good or that you won’t enjoy them. I am just VERY picky and precise about what I personally like in a beer. The ambiance makes up for it and quite honestly, the ISA is good enough. They also sale delicious cider made by Wildcraft.

Usually come here for some live music, good jams. They have well priced beers and a pretty good vibe. I recommend for sure.

Unlike the place in the Whitt this location is more about the beer brewed. The beers are great and I really like the ambiance there. Walking distance to plenty of other food spots too!

New place I would highly recommend if you’re nearby. Food selection was limited but the beers were great and resonably priced. I ordered a flight which came with 4 samples so I could try a little bit of everything. The staff was friendly and recommended the Wry as one of my samples which turned out to be the one I liked the most.

A good assortment of really good beers. It’s a cool space too. So far the place seems kind of slow to catch on. I’ve only been in a couple times, but driven by more, and there’s rarely very many people here. I guess it’s a hidden gem, which is good if you want to get prompt service and no competition. On the other hand, people watching is always a fun activity and it’s hard to just sit an look at each other without any other customers there.

The last time I was here was excellent. Great service and even better beers. However tonight was interesting only because we checked Facebook for hours and it said it was open till midnight. When I arrived around 9 I was surprised to see the bartender putting all the chairs up. I asked when they closed and she said when people stop showing up. We ordered our beers and closed out and would have probably ordered more but the bartender was eagerly closing the place. She took out the trash and continued to put chairs up on the tables. Now, the Unilocal page conflicts with the Facebook one and says the place closes at 10. Had that been the first place we looked before heading out we would not have dropped by. Also I have never worked in the service industry but in all my retail positions, closing early was point blank forbidden. I do not know what the story is but I do know that the bartender told us she was closing early and we had to down our drinks quickly. Other guests of this place have expressed similar experiences. I dunnooooo. Our last visit was excellent but tonight we felt shoved out and I was pretty bothered. If they really do close at 10, I feel real bad but at the very least keep your pages consistent. If not, tell your bartender to toughen up and stay till closing because it’s a job, dammit! And serving drinks usually means you will have to work late.

$ 3 pints and $ 3 tasting flights should at least be reason enough to try it out! If you like good malty IPAs this is your place. They make a solid Oatmeal Stout. My favorite was the Huakina New Zealand IPA.

Charming space, charming staff! Oh, and $ 3 pints for the month of July. Had the Oatmeal Stout and Sam I Am ale — both fantastic! Great addition to the area.
