I’m seriously shocked at this places 3.5 stars on here! My boyfriend and I came here tonight for dinner and were blown away. There wasn’t one negative part of our experience here! We got there about 8pm and it was fairly busy but luckily no wait for a table. We sat quickly and ordered drinks. For our appetizer we got pork gyoza and soft shell crab. Both were great! I do wish the pork gyoza was a little bit more pan fried but nonetheless, delicious. My boyfriend loves soft shell crab and said this was the best he’s had in Oregon. I can’t disagree, the sauce they cover it with is amazing. Sushi wise, we ordered the Mexico City roll and the Salmon Tempura roll. The Mexico City roll was spicy and had so much avocado! I loved it… The salmon tempura had the perfect amount of crisp. We also ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl just for fun. The best part of our experience was definitely our server. Her name was Dianna and she was so great! Extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, which I loved! She was able to suggest stuff to us and help us pick stuff out. We also had some friendly ladies next to us who were also super helpful on what they thought was good! Go to this place! Don’t think about it, just go!

I love Sushi Dumo. I have heard of other places in town for sushi but I say why change if it isn’t broken. The service is always good. There are times I really need more water because of the spicy roll I am eating but that is my only service complaint. The bathroom has a sticky floor so I just avoid it.

We have been coming here for several years since they opened back in 2002. The owner was working and had greet us many times! We enjoyed his sushi making. Unfortunately he has other chefs making his sushi and they have their own style of making sushi. For example, dragon role the owner made it look like a dragon. Current sushiasan makes it look like a sushi row. They all taste the same but would love to see art in making the sushi… Really enjoyed all of their dishes. If you love ahi you need to try Hawaiian Poke which is huge! I always get this dish each time we come here. My favorite is masago nigiri, which is fish eggs. Another favorite is a Korean dish called kalbi. Sushi is made by hand so don’t be in a rush to eat here. Enjoy!!!

They seriously need to hire someone who specifically rolls to-go orders. I waited 48 minutes for 1 roll. In the mean time box after box went out for to-go orders. People at the tables around me were getting frustrated; one guy got up and left. Average sushi. Eh.

When we first moved here from la it was hard to give any sushi in Eugene 5 stars. Snobby, I know. But we’ve been here for a while now and Domo is our FAVORITE date night sushi bar. Yes, Izumi has the flare and style of your typical date night sushi bar, but I love how comfortable Domo is. The staff is great, the chefs are great, and the fish is always fresh. Great place. The best in Eugene in my opinion. And that’s where I stand!

I have been coming here for years and love it. The Titanic, Crazy Roll and Catapillar rolls are just a few of my favs. Man and if you love salad, try the Salmon Carpaccio salad. Omg! So good. Best place in town and I’ve tried almost every one.

I absolutely love this place. The food is fresh and full of flavor. The sushi is very good and on point every time I go. It’s a small place but I recommend this place to everyone I know in Eugene.

Great place! Probably my favorite sushi place in eugene. I’ve been coming here for years and never left the place disappointed. Their sashimi(raw fish) is fresh and specialty rolls were exceptional. My favorite is the titanic roll and heart attack roll. Also, don’t forget to try the calamari appetizer.

This place just isn’t for me. I loved the price of their Unagi don, but the meal was incredibly lackluster and, honestly, kinda gross. The unagi tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave, and then some room temperature eel sauce was very lightly drizzled onto it. The rice was soggy. Also, the fat and skin seemed to have been removed which is a big no-no for unagi as that’s where the bulk of the flavor comes from(aside from the eel sauce). A good Unagi don should be broiled, or grilled in some way, with the fat and skin left on to give you that fatty buttery flavor. The sauce should become thick from the cooking process and really cling to, and become one with, the fish. In addition, it’s completely unacceptalbe for a sushi place to be serving soggy/mush rice.

The Domo never disappoints. We had tuna & yellow tail to start. Followed by miso soup, then washed down with a cold Asahi beer. My dinning partner had the poke salad and it was simply amazing. You cannot go wrong here considering you are in a strip mall in Eugene, Oregon! This place could take your taste buds to Hawaii or some cool destination like San Diego. Just close your eyes when you take that first bite! Enjoy!

Everyone has their likes and demands for sushi. Honestly, since moving from LA, this is the best sushi I’ve found in Eugene, even over SD’s Willamette location. I’ll be honest in admitting I haven’t tried every sushi spot in Eugene, but enough to know that these guys know what they’re doing. Prices are excellent. I’ve popped by for a spicy tuna roll for about $ 5 after a days work and always feel like it’s a crime I’m getting a tasty treat for just a few bucks. They’ve recently redecorated which has elevated the atmos quite a bit. The staff are really sweet too. Their specialty rolls are on the saucy side – I’m not a huge fan of the sauces, liking my fish to stand on its own, but even so, I really love some of their wilder offerings. I have developed a fondness for their Caterpillar Roll and recently tried the Dynamite Roll – delicious! They also have a long list of vegetarian rolls, which is a nice option for those who don’t do the fish. They also have a good selection of sake and will recommend one for you. I’m a fan of the regionally distilled Momokawa, which they carry in several varieties. They also do takeout and have an online menu you can order from… great if you’re headed home after work and want to grab something delicious!

Employees are always nice and welcoming. Weekday lunch is nice and calm. I always get the lunch specials. Great price. You can customize by picking two options from their list plus miso soup, cucumber salad and rice. Sushi seems acceptable to me. Have seen Bento boxes ordered by others and they look lavish. As a matter of fact the staff had two waiting for a couple of patrons who called ahead. It looked flawless… The whole thing. They walked in, said they called ahead, sat down at the already prepared table and start eating. Now that’s service! I like it here.

Sushi Domo was my first sushi experience in Eugene. Crazy busy when we went, so service wasn’t great. Lots of options, and everything we ate was great.

We were in town for a show and had a really great lunch at Sushi Domo. Nice space, pleasant service and great sushi. We had their cucumber salad, a california roll, a caterpillar roll, and uni. Everything was perfect. I’ll be back again when I’m in the area. Thank you Sushi Domo!

I’ve been ordering takeout from this place once a while for the past 7 years. The sushi is pretty good with a wide variety of traditional and innovative. Food is consistent but the service is absolutely terrible(which is why I’m giving two stars). We’ve spoken to the owner of the place and she is very friendly but the employees need a major attitude adjustment. Super unprofessional and undertrained. They need to understand that their lack of positivity drives customers away. Such a shame, I love the food but hate ordering from here BECAUSE of the staff. They’re extremely hostile and stuck up. FOOD: decent sushi! The lobster roll and crunchy California rolls are my favorite. Dynamite roll, rainbow, and Manhattan are good too. Overall: good sushi, but bad atmosphere. Try ordering«to go» to limit interaction with the snobby staff.

Good sushi at this price, do I really need to say anything else? Will be here for lunch anytime I’m in the area!

Flavorful, interesting and a good bang for your buck. I like fusion type sushi which means I like nontraditional flavors and this place is great for that. The titanic roll is my favorite. It has many different flavors including salmon, roe, lemon and Siracha. The titanic is one of the more expensive rolls on the menu at around 13, which I do not find super high for sushi, and the portion is large. I usually get just the titanic and a good beer for 3.25. I have also enjoyed their Heart Attack roll which has jalapenos and cream cheese and the caterpillar with tasty eel and yummy delicate flavor. I am rating it a 4 instead of a 5 only because I have not experienced much to compare it to.

So my better half and I have been to a few different sushi restaurants in the Springfield /Eugene area and now I’m ready to write a review. Sushi Domo is legit. Makes me feel like Sushi Ota in SD. My gauge for a sushi restaurant’s rating is first and foremost; the freshness of the fish which includes the appearance as well as the meticulous preparation which includes knife skills. Sushi Domo impresses even before tasting their rolls. The two sushi chefs are most certainly artisans in their craft. We ordered 4 rolls: Delta, Hawaiian, Dragon, and Tuna In & Out and we also ordered Unagi(Fresh Water Eel) and Ame-Ebi(Dancing Shrimp [My favorite as I also eat the heads!!!]). The Ame-Ebi is soooo good here. Additionally, we got some Unagi which damn near tasted like a warm piece of candy-just delicious. The rolls are also cut evenly with the pieces in each roll equal to one another(1-sushi pet peeve of mine). This is our second time here and the rolls are also tightly wrapped/pressed so they don’t fall apart(another pet peeve of mine). The presentation is rather spectacular too and the décor of this location is also date night quality even though I’m rocking the sweats & house slippers ensemble today(hey, I’m on call for work). We will definitely be back to feed or sushi cravings and we hope you come to this place too!!! I also hope y’all are game to try the dancing shrimp!!!

Not bad not bad! Sushi was good but I think I was a bit meh about my ikura sushi — the roe was not as «fresh» as I might’ve thought it should be. HOWEVER!!! They have a few Korean dishes on their menu ie YooGaeJang! I will def go back and try that and review again. I had Kalbi tonight with my daughter and it was great! Hubby had BBQ chicken with beans and he polished it off. My son of course ordered 2 different sushi — in & out salmon and tiger rolls, he was quite happy and barely offered to share lol. Clean & nice. Def going back… Btw I am Asian ya know and I do get picky!
