This common sense Eugene gal makes Uncommon Scents a part of her everyday routine. I’ve purchased a little bit of everything at this lovely shop: clothing, jewelry, hair accessories, lanterns, reading glasses, shaving soap for my hirsute man, and a variety of intoxicating perfume oils, soaps and lotions. My favorite item is the Ultra Massage lotion mixed with Frankincense oil. What a heavenly delight. I’m giving all my favorite people a bottle of it for Christmas this year. The soap selection rules and I suggest you start a soap card to earn a free bar. The ladies who run this place also encourage you to bring in your clean, dry, empty bottles for refill at a discount. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the corporate stink shops at the mall. Buy local, live longer!

Whenever I’m in Eugene I have to visit Uncommon Scents. It’s been my tradition for over 20 years. This year I checked out the new location (for me) at the meridian. The salesclerk was so helpful. I got just what I needed as well as a few extras. I really love this place.

After hearing about this place from a friend, I stopped in to look at essential oils and I was pleasantly surprised. Uncommon Scents has all sorts of health and beauty products available and the customer service was fantastic. The staff member (I think it was Eva, based on Unilocal photos) was very knowledgeable about the products and the background of the products. I will definitely be back soon!

Excellent selection of bath and beauty products! My girlfriend is addicted to their Vanilla chapstick. Customer service is always unbeatable.

What a delightful shop!
Great assortment of scented lotions, soap, bath products, jewelry, hair accessories, miscellaneous decorations and a small selection of bamboo fiber clothing. Some items can be personalized with one of US signature scents. This is a great place to come and browse for yourself or shop for others. They carry a wonderful assortment of imported soaps, including my favorite French brand, Mistral.
Last time I was in, I fell in love with the display of Hawaiian scented perfume oils and was tempted to buy myself one of each scent, despite the fact I was shopping for someone else. Helpful sales staff and visually appealing merchandising displays make this a great personal product/​gift shop for all occasions!

This place reminds me of Garden Botanika back in its ‘90s heyday; I have to say, I was particularly pleased w/​their litany of scents that can be blended as you will; it’s one of those adorably unique little places that make Eugene what it is, and it definitely put a smile on my face! Just wish they had more affordable and/​or sulfate-​free offerings!

I absolutely adore Uncommon Scents. I’ve been wearing the same intoxicating scent since I was in Jr High, simply because I get complimented on it all the time– China Night.
They make their own soaps, lotions and potions. If you have sensitive skin you can get unscented items, which can sometimes be hard to find.
They carry various brands including crabtree and evelyn, amongst others.
Nice jewelry section, as well as body care accessories such as bath poofs and the likes.
My vote for the best place in town to get your smell on…

I love Uncommon Scents.
The store is hard to navigate, for me, and they don’t stock everything they carry at the store. Go to the website. It makes it all so much easier. You’ll spend more, because you’ll just go nuts.
It’s like heaven, but with no Jesus.
