Not a fan of the both pre-made sandwiches we had here, but loved the hearty soup and all 5 flavors of ice cream our group had.

It greatly disappoints me to have to write a review with so few stars. I hope the owners see this so they will have some insight into a different perspective. I LOVELOVE Vanilla Jill’s. I love their food, their frozen treats, the quality, the healthfulness. We were devout supporters of the Coburg location, and I sent MANY friends and family members there, who came to love it as much as I. I would take my kids every time we drove through Eugene, almost without exception. The Blair location has a very laid back, shabby chic vibe. Maybe if you have TONS of time to deal with the exceptionally slow service, and can afford to spend so much time frogging around, getting to such an off the beaten path store, then go. The ice cream, soups, etc are still outstanding. But honestly, that’s not enough to keep me coming back(unless I have the opportunity to spend the night in Eugene and have hours on hand). The chaotic feeling inside does not appeal to me. It’s also obvious that they’re phasing out the soft serve, which is a MAJOR disappointment. The scoops are very good, but it’s just not the same. I miss the toppings, the faster service, the ease of the Coburg location. I’ve gone twice now, and I believe I’m done. Sad, sad day. Check out Eb & Bean in Portland for soft serve organic yogurt(artisanal, excellent).

Visited Vanilla Jill’s in the Whitaker today for lunch, looking for a good paleo meal out. I was not disappointed. It was terrific. Eggplant bone broth soup was delicious and satisfying. Sandwiches held together with a kale based bread substitute were flavorful and succulent. Kombucha on tap hit the spot while dining outside in the sun. It was everything I could ask for on a sunny afternoon.

Bought the Borgia and had it affogatto style. It is pretty tasty. They were out of bananas and berries, but it was a slow day so I am not sure if this was a common occurrence. It was less than $ 6 so I feel their prices are fair for the amount that was given.

I rarely give five stars, and to be truthful, I have been enjoying Vanilla Jill’s since before they opened the Blair location. Vanilla Jill’s has become a destination for healthy, creative, and very flavorful ice creams/froyo – some of these flavors blow my mind! This newer location is one of the only locations in Eugene where you can enjoy paleo meals and incredible soups – as well as some great draft Mead/ciders/GF beers. The owners are delightful, and the service is always friendly. In the summer they have concerts, community movies on a projector which makes the outdoor dining space even more attractive. Vanilla Jill’s: Enjoy handmade, local, and mostly organic ingredients without substituting taste or budget!

Vanilla Jill’s is a cute little Frozen Yogurt shop that utilizes the fresh local ingredients. Their flavors are creative and ever-changing. Yet I just don’t love the texture of their yogurt and personally would rather go to Red Wagon(sorry) for my cold treats. To qualify my review, I am a bigger fan of their other location, where I feel you can personalize your yogurt more and is more modern. This location is definitely quaint and cozy — which might be right up your alley. The yogurt flavors are always seasonal and interesting — heirloom tomato, lavender, peach, crème fraîche, etc… They also have a large selection of Paleo and Vegan flavors which is great for people who don’t often get to enjoy frozen treats. What is lacking is that smooth texture you expect of a rich frozen yogurt. The flavors are good but often seem icy. I’m never«wowed» by any of the flavors either. They’re just always solidly good. Their menu also features soups and some other snacks which I’ve never tried but sound great. I’d definitely recommend stopping in to try some flavors and see if Vanilla Jill’s is your thing, especially if you have dietary restrictions.

After reading some good reviews on the Paleo offerings for this establishment, I was excited to try Jill’s out on recent visit to Eugene. I was sad to learn, however, that Sundays are not the best day to visit(Apparently the menu is bigger on weekdays). Only two Paleo dishes were available(aside from the ice cream)…a bone broth soup and a chocolate-chia waffle. I chose the latter. So how was the waffle? I suppose if I hadn’t eaten in a week and was missing half my tongue, it might have tasted ok. But that wasn’t the case. It essentially tasted like a salty, eggy, raw-seedy, waffle-ish thing with a little unsweetened chocolate thrown in to give it an extra bit of unpalatable flavor. I was only able to finish ¼ of the waffle before giving up. Maybe it needed something on top to make it better? Like ice cream, or a pork chop, or another waffle that actually tasted good? Perhaps weekdays are better at Jills. I won’t be pressing my luck to find out if that’s true or not. On the good side… they do have a nice outside eating(and I use that term loosely) area. For that, I’ll throw in one extra star.

I was introduced to Vanilla Jill’s amazing frozen yogurt after they so graciously partnered with the ballet company I work for to help with catering our annual gala. Their amazing flavors were a true crowd pleaser and to top it off, we were given one of their super adorable moving frozen yogurt carts complete with single serve cups and spoons and plenty of dry ice to keep the yogurt perfectly chilled. We had the pleasure of serving and sampling the following flavors… — Lavender(my personal favorite!) — Vegan Salted Caramel Maple Walnut — Vanilla Bean — Dark Chocolate — Marionberry — Kiwi Basil Sorbet Vanilla Jill’s uses only organic and locally grown seasonal fruits to create truly yummy and refreshing frozen yogurt. All of their syrups and whipped creams are also distinctly infused with all locally grown herbs and teas, which is certainly a real treat! They offer an extensive list of vegan-friendly and sugar-free favors which are undoubtedly just as tasty. Vanilla Jill’s also adds new flavors to their menu, depending on the season, to accommodate all seasonal fruit fanatics. What better way to enjoy the changes of the seasons with frozen yogurt! Stop by their new location on Blair Boulevard in the Whiteaker District and get lost in the truly delightful experience of sampling their pre-made sundaes, or better yet, create your own! Vanilla Jill’s also offers a variety of homemade savory and sweet waffles, kombucha, and pies(vegan options available for waffles and pies). Feeling more adventurous? Vanilla Jill’s even offers cooking classes! Expand your horizons and learn how to cook nutritional breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and desserts for the very reasonable price of $ 45.00. Classes have been offered thus far in the Spring and Summer. This certainly is no ordinary frozen yogurt shop! A lively and super yummy experience, Vanilla Jill’s is certainly a great addition to Eugene’s local color! Love!

Welcome to Whiteaker, Jill. Your frozen yogurt is creamy and delicious, the best in town. Your many sprinkles excite me.

Every time I come back to visit the campus I ALWAYS make a stop here. The food and ice cream is all around delicious. Recently it seems like they’ve expanded their paleo pastries, which by the way are awesome! The chocolate chip cookies… YUM. I always grab a bowl of soup– no complaints, every bowl has been wonderful and then a bowl of(guilt free) paleo waffles– the cashew pumpkin waffles, just had them taste great, hint of cinnamon and a soft taste of pumpkin– reminds me of a pumpkin pie. The chocolate chia also taste great. Next! A nice scoop of paleo– guilt free! ice cream with a topping of fresh fruit. I leave feeling full and happy each time. Great place to eat, across from the ninkasi brewery, cute little neighborhood with a bunch of other restaurants up ahead. Easy parking.
