I honestly wish every coffee place made a latte as good as Vero. It was pretty damn close to perfect. Both of my friends got the lavender latte, which I had never seen before, but was executed very well. Cosy atmosphere, and it was nice to sit on the porch with our drinks. I also saw a lot of customers studying and working there, which I’m sure I would do too if I lived in the area.

I have a confession to make. My review of Vero may be a little bit biased, because this is where I met my boyfriend. We had our very first date here. I threw my best friend a bridal shower here. Vero was a big part of my life in college, so take that into account when reading my review. But really, it’s not *that* biased, because it’s mostly based on how awesome their coffee is. When my father and I popped in here last weekend on our way north, he ordered a cup of coffee, took a sip and stopped in his tracks to say«Now THAT’S coffee!» And my Dad is a big coffee connoisseur, so that’s no empty compliment. Vero is a coffee shop in a beautiful old Victorian home on the corner of Pearl and 14th, walking distance from campus. They serve delicious pots of tea, excellent hot chocolate, fantastic double shot lattes, and great baked goods. They provide comfy seats for reading, cozy tables for studying, and the perfect environment for a first date. They have rooms upstairs that you can rent for events(perfect for a bridal shower) and they have the nicest staff. If you’re looking for a great Eugene coffee shop, look no further.

Best latte I’ve ever had! The environment is awesome, and the service is top notch! The crowd that was hanging out here left a little to be desired for myself, but nothing against the establishment. I will be returning here for coffee the next time in Eugene! Thanks to the ladies who made my delicious latte!

An adorable building. This café is in a cool old house — we dropped in after a long brunch at Planktown Brewing. The expansive patio was very damp of course, but the tables and setting was and inviting for a dry day. We ducked in for a quick coffee. The entrance was busy and nearly all the tables and counters were full. Loads of folks on laptops with headphones. I like the layout — the menu of both food and drink looked enticing and not too busy. The entry and counter was a little minimalist. Like the pastries could’ve been a bit more expansive and inviting. It met our needs and I received friendly service. The space upstairs can be rented out. I was interested in looking at the space, but didn’t want to invade on someone’s event. It appears to be a counter service place only. Something to keep in mind —- I had the house Stumptown Guatemala Bourbon. They serve their coffee super hot. Very high quality coffee in sturdy paper cup to go.

This is exactly what a local coffee shop should be! I was meeting my aunt for coffee, so came here on recommendation of a friend who I was staying with while visiting Eugene. She recommended the vanilla latte, but I’m a black coffee kind of girl(some may call me a cowboy :). The lady who helped me at the register was so friendly and helpful — I wish that I got her name to give her a shout out here, but she was working on Sunday morning at 9 am on September 27th if that helps! She guided me towards an Americano and pumpkin bread, both of which were amazing. It’s such a pleasant spot to have a cup of coffee and meet up with a friend. I will definitely return here!

What an adorable café. My friend and I stopped in on our way to Portland, and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and top-notch customer service. The café is literally a refurbished house, and I want to live here. The ambiance is clean and homely with a pinch of vintage flair. I can see old poets being inspired by the décor. It reminds me of a cleaner Rochambo in Milwaukee. The barista was super sweet(a stark contrast to the«too-cool-for-school» San Franciscans we’ve unfortunately encountered). She immediately greeted us with a huge smile as soon we walked in. Bonus points for her. I got a skim latte with lavender syrup and it was perfection. The best latte I’ve had in the west coast. Hell, one of the best lattes I’ve had in my life. It was slightly sweet with the perfect amount of froth. My friend ordered the vegetarian panini with a bowl of three cheese soup, and another bowl of fresh fruit. The panini was delicious. It had balsamic vinaigrette and a little pesto, so there was a multiplicity of flavors dancing in my mouth. The soup was creamy and decadent, which paired wonderfully with the lightness of the panini. As for the fruit, well, we saw the fruit being delivered to the café, so it was nothing short of amazing. Overall, Vero has a new fan. My tummy, and my taste buds, are happy as they can be. Onward to Portland!

My friends and I were coming back home after a trip from Crater Lake and one of my friends found this place on Unilocal so we decided to give it a try. I personally don’t like coffee so I ordered a raspberry coconut Italian soda. I’ve tried plenty of Italian sodas and this one was by far the best because of the quality of syrups that they use. Usually if you order a drink with coconut syrup, expect it to taste like sunscreen and tanning lotion, but not at this place. They got the ratio of the raspberry syrup to coconut syrup perfectly. If you’re in search of the perfect Italian soda, I would definitely try this place out! Plus the place was super cute as well!
