Pros: 100% Duck pride! Delicious beer Fun atmosphere Tvs to watch sports Cons: Unfriendly and forgetful service Food is basic sports bar food, nothing special Older people get upset if you’re too loud(aka laughing and having lively conversations with a group of friends)

The food is solid, the tap list is decent most of the time, but what really set this place apart for me was an employee. Mandy was incredible! It was a slow sunny afternoon, and in the industry, that can make for slow service. Mandy was attentive, informative, and her timing was impeccable! There’s a fine line between being helpful and bothersome, but Mandy left that line far behind. Because of her, I am writing this review while I sit at the bar, and again, Mandy has me taken care of. So thanks Mandy, and the other friendly staff at the Wild Duck. Cheers, Allie

Great food close to campus that can be pre-ordered for pick up or delivered through hungry ducks campus delivery service. Different types of dishes for variety, also have many great on tap beers.

Went back for a second try and they did not stumble this time. Food service and the beer were all top notch. Can’t wait to go back!

I am always on the hunt for the best of a few things depending on my wants. Literally. The. Best. Bloody Mary’s. Ever. 5.75 on the weekends! Plus you’ve gotta try the wings. I think there’s a Vietnamese garlic flavor or something that is killer. Amazing milkshakes. Beer cheese soup. Bomb.

I’m going to start this off by an incident that completely soured our experience here tonight. One person in our party did a little gambling and won a bit of money. When cashing in the ticket, the bartender(a young woman, short hair, thin, tattoos), shortchanged him by 25 cents. Sure, it’s only a quarter and not the end of the world. Apparently, they«round down» winnings, a helpful bit of info that was not disclosed at any time. After requesting the 25 cents no less than three times, the bartender snatched a quarter from a previous patron’s tip, tossed it on the bar toward my friend, then promptly turned her back on him and walked away. I’m sorry, but in WHAT universe is this okay? If you have a policy of not giving out change winnings, at least be courteous and advise your patrons that when cashing out. Even a simple, «We round down winnings. I’ll give you the 25 cents this time, but please keep this in mind next time». You don’t throw money at your customer in a snit, turn your back, and walk away. That is extremely rude and disrespectful, regardless of the amount of money. I don’t care how«nice» your co-worker says you are, you were NOT«nice» to my friend(who is autistic, by the way), and it definitely left a bad impression. The food is good, usually is. No qualms there. But the customer service could definitely use a bit of sprucing up.

OMG! Why did I not know about this place before now? Ok, well I don’t live in Eugene but I travel there often for work and family. Went there today on a business lunch and my first impression is the smell of garlic lofting through the restaurant. Somebody needs to bottle that smell and market it as an air freshener. It smelled so good in the place that it made me more hungry. That smell gave me high hopes of delicious food and they delivered. I love a good French dip sandwich but most are just good or ok. But the one here with the real Au Jus made it awesome. I haven’t had Au Jus like this from a restaurant in forever and only from expensive steak houses or when I make it at home. Great friendly service, great food and of course Oregon Duck stuff everywhere. I will be a regular on my trips to Eugene.

This place rocks. Beautiful wood and granite bar, lots of places to sit, unique metal decorations, old Oregon Ducks memorabilia, lots of ducks. Good beers on tap, friendly service and tasty grub.

Hospitality is completely lost here. Arrive on a Sunday for some NFL… Welcome greeting; failed Eye contact from anyone other than my date; failed Sit down in bar area where’s the bar staff? Failed Do we need a menu after 5⁄6 minutes? failed We left! Check! Got that one right. We really understand when a place is busy to be patient but when you are one of 12 we hope for better. We may give this another try because it’s in our neighborhood, when you set your expectations so low I guess mediocre is your goal.

I would give this place 4 stars but I didn’t try enough of their food to give it that great of a rating. I had the bleu cheese salad and it normally comes with chicken on it, but I am a vegetarian, so I asked for it without it. The waitress was so nice and offered to put a veggie burger on the salad instead. Not a big deal, but it was something that hardly anybody ever takes into consideration for us vegetarians. Great service with a group of about 15 people coming and going at different times. My friends all got food/beers here too and they all looked delicious! I’ll have to come back when I can actually order a cider for myself!

The hubs and I have visited this place three or four times in the almost three weeks that we’ve lived in Eugene! They are within walking distance of our house, so that helps! The food and atmosphere are cool. We can chill with our beers and enjoy spotting the various players and coaches that pass by. The service has been fine, even when the place is busy. This will def be a place we frequent this year– oh yeah, get the sweet potato fries!

This place has a great neighborhood vibe, and is across the street from campus. My wife and I are new to town, and had heard spectacular things about the Wild Duck Café, so we decided to check it out. There was an event taking place at the Wild Duck when we got there, so I was worried that service may not be that good. The service ended up far exceeding my expectations, as did the food. I ordered the Fish and Chips, which I highly recommend, and my wife had a burger, which she devoured in short time. If you are looking for a place with a wide menu selection, many beers, and an overall awesome atmosphere, do yourself a favor, and check out the Wild Duck Café.

Great little bar with friendly waitresses and a fun vibe. They’re very open to accommodation and customization of drinks. I haven’t really eaten their dinners yet, but I have extensive experience with their happy hour items, and they’re very tasty. Happy Hour microbrews for 3.50 can’t be beat either!

I am a Beaver. Yet I am drawn to this incredible one off restaurant/bar. I visited them years ago when they were downtown and have such fond memories. After closing for a few years they have opened right across the street from the new Knight Arena. What a location! they even have condo’s above them. Spend some time walking around this eatery. The memorabilia is stunning. Jerseys, ducks stuff, and an old Oregon scoreboard! Check out the ducks that look like they are flying thru the glass near the entrance. The real showstopper is the Beer cheese soup. It is so thick! Made with Tillamook cheese and hefeweizen. This is locally sourced and incredible! Please look at the stack of Calamari in my picture, it was obscene! this was the appetizer. They really have great portions. The staff is upbeat and nice, with great small talk and will give you honest answers to your food questions. I feel at home here, even when I wear black and orange…

I’m basing this review solely on breakfast. I’ve never been here for lunch/dinner or tried anything off those menus. That being said, their breakfast is good! I like that it’s rarely busy(which probably isn’t good for them but it means no wait for me) I usually like to sit in the bar but when we came yesterday we had a baby with us so we sat on the restaurant side. This place has AWESOME bloody mary’s. They’re SO good! My second favorite in Eugene. Their breakfast is always good, always comes out fairly quickly, and basically always tastes the same. I usually get the biscuits and gravy. My boyfriend got the Cajun salmon Benedict the other day and ate the whole thing…(Rare for him to finish his food haha) the service is always fine, I have noticed the servers aren’t really overly friendly and personable though. Oh and let me mention their bacon. Best. Bacon. Ever. Hands down! Go for breakfast, it’s good.

Laid back atmosphere. The service was a little slow, there seemed to be only one server. But the food was tasty and so was the Bloody Mary. I’d come back.
