First of all I roll into town and need a beer. I stop by here and this bartender was absolutely stunning but had the worst attitude ever. I own 7 bars and with this being said I bit my tongue because I just didn’t want to battle on this evening. I hope the owner reads this post to address this issue. This beautiful woman could make 5 times she makes now by just being a politician. I not only seen the bad demeanor with me but others also. If this was my my bar she would be fired asap. She is losing money for the bar with this attitude. It’s so disappointing that she looks as she works hard, is stunning but lacking the people skills to work behind the bar. Good luck in the future to both of you the owner and bartender. PS put a fake smile on and you increase your margin by 40% on day one.

Amazing grilled steak. Ordered a ribeye, medium rare and medium rare is how it came. Juicy and rich. I had the sweet potato fries for my side — no complaints there. What took everything to the next level was their horseradish sauce. I made the mistake of slathering it over my first bite like I would a horseradish sauce from any other place. Nope. They must make their own sauce and maybe just before they serve it because that stuff had bite! I have never had horseradish with that much kick — loved it! $ 4 for the local brews on tap — I had the downtown brown.

This is my favorite place to go in Eureka. The food is great and the atmosphere is relaxed. I stop here every time I come back to town. They make a mean Pabst Blue Ribbon, too.

You are missing out if you have not eaten here… seriously great steaks which make everything else about this place a bonus… shuffleboard, good drinks surround by a good atmosphere.

The steak I had for lunch was great! The place is a bar so if you don’t mind the bar setting, this place is for you. Only 4 because the steak was cooked as ordered; it was close.

The food is wonderful! We didn’t have one single complaint about the food. The service on the other hand, was pretty horrendous. The waitress was nice, but incredibly slow. 10 – 15 mins for drink a refill? Come on. The entire meal took just under 3 hours in an almost empty bar. Really?

Not my favorite spot. Food was just okay. Steaks were good but sides were just fried bar food. Probably great for drinks and nibbles.

I finally tried AA this evening and it lived up to its legendary status. The steak and fries were delicious, the drinks were strong and the horseradish was INCREDIBLY spicy and wonderful. The portions were big enough to share and have leftovers. The friendly bartender and rowdy locals perfected the ambience. Overall I was pleasantly surprised!

This place is great. We have been coming here for the last 3 years 2 times a week. We absolutely love the steaks and the staff is my family away from home. These girls have been there when others have not. Keep up the great steaks and the great service

Anniversary dinner turned not so sweet. Both ordered steaks medium-rare and were concerned when they came back very undercooked. Brought it up to our waitress and she had them«refired» but they were already a lost cause. Definitely wasn’t our waitress’ fault, but after picking through one steak she told us she could have gotten us a brand new steak… just the icing on the cake of a disappointing evening. Will definitely be dining elsewhere in Eureka.

The go to place for a steak. Not frills. I generally order the ribeye, and it makes make my carnivorous dreams come true. The AA is the reason I always want cottage cheese on the side when I eat a steak, strangely wonderful. The salad is a not so spectacular dressed plate of iceberg, but thats not what you’re there for. Eat that slated pretzel crust dessert too, it’ll make you a happy glutton. If you’re there for the weekend breakfast smother whatever you have in gravy and be patient, it’ll be worth it when you get it.

Excellent customer service and very casual ambiance. Looked as though alcoholic beverages were generous in size. Ribeye was tender however not the most flavorful. Italian wedding soup was good, but canned progresso is too. Soda tasted funny, buddy said it was flat. Potato was small. Prices overall I suppose for this area were normal however seemed pretty steep for the quality. We ordered one Ribeye to share, two soups, two potatoes, two non alcoholic drinks and one salty caramel brownie(very rich and tasty). $ 40.50 was our total. If this is the locally known«best steak», I’m gonna cry… I’ve had better steaks at chain steak houses. I’d say if you wanna drink and relax, this is a great place or possibly for lunch, since I only caught dinner. I can’t say I’ll return however I suppose you might give it a try if you’re in the area. Hopefully exploring more of this beautiful city with result in a better steak experience.

The place and staff were nice enough; a clean and comfortable décor that is relatively small and friendly. Unfortunately the difference between 3 and 5 stars is about the same between medium-rare and medium. My tears wanted to flow as freely as the flavor flowed from the steak to the grill when I saw the inside of my exceptional-looking steak. The saddest part of this tragedy was that my ribeye appeared to be of the highest quality. Even so, one expects to find marbling in a ribeye and alas, there was little here. I was later thrown off when I heard the soup of the day was Minestrone –which I would have happily ordered with my meal– but was told the only soup was clam chowder when I ordered. At the very least, I’m happy to have crossed this place of my list of eateries in Eureka. I may give it another shot in the future since I travel here quite frequently.

Pretty Darn Good! Not fancy but simple. It’s basically a old fashioned dive bar steakhouse! Seating is limited so I wouldn’t try to eat there on a busy night. I went on a Sunday evening and it was the perfect time!

Was really looking forward to this place based on the glowing reviews… but found yourself to be disappointed in the food. —- Imagine walking into a dive biker bar, full of locals who with there look size you up. As soon as we walked into the door, everyone in the joint looked at us with a(you don’t belong) gaze. Very uncomfortable feeling… regardless we sat down and waited for our server. She informed us that only dinner was available and they would not be able to serve burgers… just steak and fried chicken. So, we ordered filets all medium rare. What we got was some well done jerky, this is not the type of place where I would feel comfortable sending things back to the kitchen so we just dealt with it. The best thing about this place was the fries… and that is sad because the food is not cheap. I would NOT recommend this place at all… it is really a dive, smells like smoke and the food is gross. Save your money and find a real steak place.

So I was randomly in town and was looking for the best steak in town and AA seemed to be it according to the Unilocal app. The outside seemed really sketchy. The reviewer who mentions that there seems to be an abundance of meth heads was not kidding. I parked down the street and I had to walk past a liquor store with some very influenced people standing outside. I tried to take the long way past a belligerent woman who was screaming and flailing about, but ended up having to duck into the store for a few minutes until she went away. The restaurant looks like a bar with a few tables. There’s a chalkboard up with prices and the like. I did not enjoy the soup or the onion rings. I was afraid that the steak was going to be horrible after those first few tastes of food, but fortunately the steak delivered. The porterhouse is huge(a new york and a filet mignon in one!), and comes with a side of cottage cheese. They got the sear right and the middle rare. Very scrumptious! I would have liked to try the ribeye as well. I don’t know when I’ll pass through again, but it’s worth another shot for the steak.

Great food but the high prices were unexpected and the menu only has a few things on it. The place is a little odd, and isn’t all too welcoming. If you want a great steak and are willing to pay for it, come here. If not, go somewhere else.
