If you haven’t been to Sizzler in Eureka in awhile, you really should check it out… Its gotten so much better. yes its a buffet and the food is fresh and tasty. The fried chicken is delicious and reminds me of original KFC’s chicken,(which we no longer are able to get locally). The salad bar has everything you can possibly think of for a fresh, wonderful packed salad. The ice cream dessert bar is yummy and the grand kids love the all you can eat, everything. The hubby and I enjoy our favorite beers for only .99 each. Though its a buffet there are waiters that come around often and are happy to get anything you want/need, Its clean, its fast and its really good food. This place has everything for my budget and my hunger needs, If you haven’t tried it lately, try it, I think your going to love it!

It was ok. Smaller salad bar than most other Sizzler’s. Had the tri-tip which was so tough it was almost inedible. The fried shrimp was very good, though. Cakes & brownies were not good at all — think grade school cafeteria on a bad day.

I can“t believe what I just experienced at this Eureka sizzler! I call ahead of time bkz I was in the mood for Mexican food & salad to find out if they had pinto beans in their salad bar & savanna said there was not! My friend called me & told me that there were beans in the salad bar!!! I went in & talked w/Savanna & she said she did not know & asked Julie, our server, said she did not know what a pinto bean was!?! Can you believe that!!! I asked for the mgr. & they said he was not in(7/11/14 – 8+/- p.m.) savanna followed me to the salad bar & continued telling me I was not right about what had happened: bottom line their mgr. should train them as well as the cashier that day, that was wise beyond her years to say, «Enough savanna!» She turned to me and asked me what else she could do for me!

The food quality was good– Sizzler-ish if you will. Not Morton’s but definitely hot when it should be and cold when it should. Salad bar had good variety and was well stocked. So why two stars? The wait staff has to go. The girl behind the register acted as if we were bothering her when we went to place our order, very huffy and distracted(by counting napkin rolls?). Waited and waited for drink refills(that never came during 45 minutes) while the waitresses talked in a corner ignoring everyone in the restaurant. Yep, time for a staff change.

This Sizzler is the best one I’ve ever been to(at least since the ‘60s when you got a free glass of wine with your dinner). The owner is a local person and wait staff are attentive and friendly — the owner tracks your visits and has a reward system for repeat customers if you sign up for it(one of the best reward systems I’ve seen). We get only the salad bar and we have never been disappointed. They have a rotating set of meat items that are included in the salad bar, plus the normal soft-serve, puddings and desserts.

I don’t know what some of these people are talking about, my husband and I went for dinner tonight and we were really impressed on how fresh the salad bar was and our waitress CHRISSY was the best waitress we have had in eureka! She is awesome, I love service when they are«real» and Chrissy was, we have now found a new place to eat on the weekends… thanks Chrissy!!!

I only go for the salad bar because i find that there is usually enough hot food at the salad bar to be more than enough to eat. Each time I have gone the food has been fresh and there has been an excellent variety. Today, they even had the traditional Thanksgiving/Christmas meal at the salad bar so that was plenty. The service has always been excellent and friendly. But what I find especially impressive it that on Veterans’ Day veterans get a free meal at the salad bar, including the drink and the staff on Veterans’ Day is always friendly and it is not unusual to hear them thank the veterans for their service. So thank you, staff at Eureka Sizzler!

The Sizzler salad bar is the best in Humboldt. Everything is fresh and they have a great variety. They keep it clean, well-stocked, and you can often see them checking temperatures to ensure food safety. The servers are friendly and the place is clean.

WOW! I read the other reviews and cannot believe they are talking about the Eureka Sizzler. We eat there at LEAST once a month and find the service excellent and the servers VERY pleasant and MORE than accommodating. Maybe it is because we are nice to them? The salad bar is always clean and well stocked. Their salad bar ‘entrees’ are not world class, but they are usually flavorful and certainly better than a cardboard hamburger somewhere else. The order-board entrees have been adequate in quantity and satisfying in flavor. I LOVE their thick clam chowder! Sizzler is a step above the«fast food» chains, and I believe the Eureka store is an independently owned franchise. The Eureka store owner and his wife bend over backwards to make eating in their establishment a pleasant experience. It hurts me to see their efforts so negatively reviewed. There are many restaurants in our area that offer a fine dining experience. When that is what I want, and that is what I am willing to pay for, that is where I go. When I want quick, easy and inexpensive, with a reasonable variety of selections, I go to Sizzler. And when I opt to eat at Sizzler, I expect Sizzler food. The Eureka Sizzler works quite well for me.

It’s a sizzler… so my expectations were low to begin with. When we got here, our party had morning table reservations, but we were about the only ones in here. Our waitress was courteous and got us coffee and tea, and juice. And actually when everyone arrived, they could have sat anywhere cause we were THAT kind of crowd.hehe. The breakfast buffet had the usual salad fixings area and then the entrée area. I tried the hash browns which were crispy, but OMG, the sausage was super nasty. I did grab some scrambled eggs, meh. The only nice thing that was at the buffet was the fried chicken wings. I knew that one can’t be messed up. And I ordered Swedish pancakes *but they were buttered crepes-like and didn’t look anything like the swedish dollar pancakes I’d expected. At least the ice cream machine was okay and so were the mini-pastries. Poor mom, she thought she could get an omelette, but so not happening at a buffet in Sizzlers. Otherwise, a forgettable meal at another fast food chain…

I can see why«This» sizzler has so mnay bad reviews, when my husband and I first arrived we asked the cashier lady if they still had a certain dish and she rudely replied that«This sizzler I privately owned, we don’t have the specials all the other sizzlers have» so we said«ok» and looked over their menu board and found what we wanted. I got the 6 oz steak with a baked potato(they don’t have mashed) and it came with endless salad bar for $ 10.99 My husband chosed the half dozen(6) shrimp with baked potato and endless salad bar for $ 10.99 When my husband said he would like the half dozen shrimp the cashier was arguing with him and was going to charge him for some totally different shrimp meal and my husband pointed out that he wanted the half dozen shrimp with te endless salad bar and she continued to argue, until finally she rang up the right meal. We got our salad plates and drinks, found our table then went and got some chicken wings, and clam chowder from the salad bar. Their layout for their salad bar is different compared to all other sizzlers the salad is next to the dessert further away from the rest of the actual salad bar, they have the hot items next to the actual alad bar, its just a very strange lay out. When we sat back down and started eating one chicken wing our food came out that we ordered(that was quick?) I told my husband it seemed like they already had it prepared and waiting, when I bit into a piece of steak it tasted odd to me and I finally figured out what was odd about it. This sizzler doesn’t put any type of seasoning on their steak, it was flavorless and because of that it tasted horrible I was seriously not impressed with it. The cheesy bread that was brought to us lacked the«cheese» factor” the waiter was good, he was good at clearing plates a little slow on filling water but it still got filled I didn’t have to wait for to long and its not like some places where my water doesn’t get filled for the entire meal. I think this place honestly should make serious changes, teach their staff to be… nice to customers, and to season the steak a little bit so it doesn’t taste bland, people pay out all this money they should get something they will be happy with.

It is what it is. Fast food steak house. My biggest and only real issue is, the entrée choices on the salad bar tend to be Mexican dishes. We have 14 Mexican restaurants in Eureka. I do not go to Sizzler to pay for Mexican. The service is always good and the servers are nice, but I am always nice to them. Maybe that is why I get good service? __

One of the worst dining experiences I have had in Eureka. The service was non-existent, the steak inedible, and I had to ask the waitress for every thing from a beverage refill to napkins multiple times. I have had much better Sizzler meals at other locations.

Horrible experience! What you order is not what you get. Don’t expect to get refills on your drinks. Don’t expect to get even ONE refill on the All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp. The waitress won’t get a refill. Bait and Switch advertising. :( The steak was extremely bad. Grissley, touch to cut, touch to chew. Salad bar was fine. Waitress(and supervisor) couldn’t care less as they already had your money. Avoid. At all costs.

Cheese Toast at Sizzler? Not this one. We all know Sizzler is the McDonalds of steakhouses, but this one was so disappointing that the clown might have been a better choice for a late dinner. We ordered Steak/grilled shrimp, and steak/malibu chicken, and a side salad bar. Our food was cold and dry, the salad bar was clean but tasted off, and get this: if you don’t ask for the cheese toast when you order, you don’t get it. No explination of this anywhere, and it states plainly on the menuboard that cheese toast is included. When we asked what happened to our cheese toast, one waitress was incredibly rude, and told us that the manager wants it that way, that toast was only on request and that the workers were not allowed to offer toast, or advise customers that toast would only come with their meal on request. Apparently the manager also dosen’t want complaints, as there were no comment cards, and when I asked for the manager’s name and location number I was refused. So, if you want to pay $ 35(I tipped my waitress, she wasn’t the rude one), for a cold meal that was very unsatisfying, and not even get your toast, this might be the place for you, but next time I’ll choose different accomidations. Maybe they have you order/pay before you seat, because then youve already invested the money before you find out how shabby their food really is. It had been about 4 years since I had visited any Sizzler, and too many to count since visiting this one in Eureka. Another Sizzler another time? Perhaps, but this one? Never.
