Have this place a second shot. Service was better, but not great. We were sat in the back by the bathrooms and there was stuff piled all around us. Servers purses, silverware. Clothes. It was gross. Then the food took forever. I think we are done with this little hole in the wall.

Went there the day my niece got married. She actually stopped in and had some pictures taken in front of the beautiful fireplace. Nice atmosphere. The loaded fries were awesome! Everyone was very friendly. Looks like a fun place to hang out.

I was not going to write a review, however after what I’ve just read, it’s necessary. First; the facts: — 54 minutes from seating to food(took about 5 minutes to decide what we wanted) –Service staff was AWESOME at first; we felt welcome –This, however went downhill has the 45+ minute wait wore on; it became awkward. –Bangers and Mash — I didn’t like it here; others may — I didn’t. –Drinks started taking longer and longer to refill; the staff lost attention on our table, and it was noticed. –Attempted to leave, but was begged to let it be checked on «one more time». Not being rude people, we obliged, ate the food and paid for the pleasure. I won’t detail being smeared with ranch dressing as plates were cleared; accidents happen. I will, however, enshrine, here and now, my negative feelings towards the response received by this business after the initial review. 1 — This business attacks customers via social media in response to poor reviews. Bad form on the part of whomever penned the response. From my perspective, your treatment of a dissatisfied client, from the table to the internet speaks volumes about the culture of the establishment that is seeking the hard earned dollars of the public. 2 — If you are proud of being open on labor day, near a regional attraction(Six Flags) on a HOT day(Hurricane Harbor operated at capacity all day) during two major events(Labor day and the season pass flash sale), and would like to use that as your excuse for slow service, you ought to reconsider your choices in either open days or staffing levels. 3 — Labor Day hours are still not an excuse for anything other than slow service. I will end this review here; your response to the first review has cemented the decision to NEVER return to your establishment and I am not inclined to provide any consultancy to you by suggesting customer relations/satisfaction tactics that work. Best regards,
J. H.

I hope making this as a list is a little easier to follow. 1.) Found this business using Unilocal! app. Figured good reviews must mean a credible and delicious experience after spending the entire day at Six Flags. 2.) Walked in to NO greeting or instructions to sit where we wanted or to wait for someone to seat us. 3.) Sat down. The entire restaurant was freezing cold. Seriously by the end of my meal I couldn’t feel my fingers. 4.) This was our first time here so we needed an extra minute to order to make sure we tried something amazing. I ended up going with the suggestion of our waiter and tried the«Eureka Burger»(no onions /boooo allergies!) 5.) We waited. 6.) Waited some more. 7.) Waited an entire 54 damn minutes for food! The place wasn’t packed. We told them near 45 minutes that we wanted to cancel our order, but that wasn’t allowed as we were begged by another waitress/bartender to let her check one more time. Mind you we then see her behind the bar and not checking for our food. 8.) For details on my husbands meal, which was potatoes and sausage, see his review. 9.) A burger. One that took 50+ minutes to make was luke warm at best and their«homemade chips» we’re mostly soaked in oil still. 10.) Getting ready to pay, because really after that experience and expressing our frustrations they actually handed us a bill, and the waiter turned a bit creepy and lingered around the table. Telling us that the cooking manager had just gotten there and saved the poor staff that was already back there. Then we asked if the manager was the loser-looking kid with long hair running around drinking coffee from a glass and acting like he was hot shit. Then we were advised that it was actually the owner’s son who was«basically useless». 11.) More creepy waiter. 12.) Waiter comes to pick up the bill and drops a fork from my husbands salad, smothered in ranch still, right on him. He got an awkward apology that didn’t solve a thing.(I was actually going to give them 2 stars before that!) Oh, and it was great seeing the other table, of at least 12, who came in 30 minutes behind us, get their food within 5 minutes of us. Must be nice. I also forgot that as soon as we got our meal, magically at 7:30pm they dimmed the already dark lighting. Nah, I didn’t need to see my meal or anything. Needless to say, we won’t be back. We are now season pass holders for Six Flags and are excited to give money to other, more deserving, places in Eureka. ** UPDATE: Someone from this business took it upon themselves to attack me via Facebook for posting my HONEST review. I sincerely apologize for my misspelling of «waiter» to «water» as I was reviewing via mobile app as my husband drove us home. Additionally, as to my other reviews, I apologize that you are so concerned with my other reviews. Yes, I primarily leave negative ones as positive ones are commonly relayed to the corporate offices for that business. If you’d like, I’d be more than happy to provide you with those records. I do wish your business the best of luck. I can assure you though, we will never be back again. Nor will we ever recommend your business to anyone we come in contact with. Unfortunate you handled it that way, instead of just offering apologies for the experience and all parties could have just moved on. Good day to you!**

After a rainy day at Six Flags, O’Dells was a great place to warm up and enjoy the games while the rain passed through the area. Parking is somewhat limited but if you’re lucky you’ll get a spot like we did right in front. Got seated immediately — kinda wished for a bigger table but they request that you don’t sit at the 4 person ones unless you have that many or more. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgable. She carried on many conversations with us and made sure we knew all the specials, and what was recommended. We couldn’t come to this ale house without ordering a drink so my husband had a few pints of their Leffe Blonde. We started off with their pretzels and guinness beer cheese dip — oh my! You get two huge pretzels and a bowl of the cheese and you’re in heaven. Our original order wasn’t made correctly, and they were super nice about it and replaced it, no questions asked. For our main meal, my husband got the Eureka burger and I got the buffalo chicken wrap, both with irish chips which are steak fries loaded with seasonings. My wrap was huge and it was enough for lunch the next day! Very good food and a great experience! Can’t wait to visit again!

My company and I have been working in the area and we have eaten here at least six times. They are always nice, fast service, and the food is great. Since I’ve been across the street I can see that they are growing some of their own herbs and spices, I’ve seen their employees outside cleaning off equipment so I imagine the kitchen is very clean as well, and the only deliveries are from small local companies. Yes they are more expensive than some places, but if you want super cheap, go with fast food. Great quality, totally worth the price, and I plan on eating here more while I’m in the area.

We were in town for a Twomey family reunion, so of course we had to search out the only Irish pub in the area for dinner. And we really enjoyed our experience at O’Dell’s Irish Pub and Ale House. The staff was friendly and efficient, the drinks were cold, and the food was very good.

I recently ‘dined’ here with a few friends.(6−25−15) First, the good! Decent beer selection and awesome atmosphere. This is a very small cozy place but the décor is cool and the bar is the focal point of the joint. This being my first time here and I was the first to arrive I asked if I could sit at one of their tables across from the bar, they all have signs on them that read«parties of 5 or more». No problem, right? Wrong. I got the laser beam-death ray eyes from the waitress who seems quite annoyed, even though I assured here that I had friends coming to join me. She reluctantly sat me and asked if I would like a drink, I ordered their Modern Brew Lou-something, it was great! It arrived quickly and I asked to see a menu. As the menu was delivered my friends began to trickle in and sat next to me, each was quickly greeted by our server and each had a beer in front of him/her within a minute of sitting down. This was very impressive, perhaps a night of great service was to follow! Now the bad. Sorry, getting beers quickly is about the only good point of the service that I can say happened. We sat with our beers and menus for about 45 – 50 minutes, our server was nowhere to be found– and granted– we wanted to chat and catch up, but we were also very hungry. Once the 50 minute mark hit, we saw our server, I waved and was ignored. It was at that point I kindly asked for the check and we all left. Their menu looked awesome and we were all looking forward to trying their food but alas, we will never know. Might be a while before I give this place another shot. One of my friend’s who was with us told me that the staff there doesn’t change often, which is usually a good thing. I am thinking, however, that in this case it may be time to hire new servers.

Their food is good and drinks are cold :-) I’ve never been overly impressed by their waiting staff, but it is a pub, after all. Recommend their fish and chips or French dip sandwich. I went there with a party of 10, and everyone raved about their food afterwards. The place is always clean, including bathrooms. I love that they have expanded their seating area as well. It used to be a little cramped.

Pretty decent. They have good service, and everything really sticks to the Irish Pub theme. I liked the fried pickles a lot. They are the spears, and are probably some of the better fried pickles I have ever had. Not really a fan of the Shamrock sauce that it comes with. It was like pastel green looking. Sorta of weird, it made me think I was dipping it into something minty. I just got a side of ranch to dip them into. I ordered the turkey club with fries for my meal. Turkey club was okay, nothing to go crazy about. And the fries we’re average. They did play really good music though, which I loved. I would come back here again to try other things on the menu, but it’s not at the top of my list.

Awesome! We are from out of town and had an amazing experience– great environment, very charming. Great service, big smiles and friendly, and awesome food! Good live music, too. I had the blarney black bean burger and spinach side salad. Very good. Also great cocktails and drinks and the Irish grilled cheese everyone else raved about.

Service is super slow. Recently we went with four people. We had to track a person down to get a drink. They never offered us a menu although we wanted to eat. The waiter never came back to ask us for more drinks and we had to track him down again to pay. They were also out of Jameson which seems odd for an Irish bar. I’ve been there three times and never had a good service experience.

Eureka is kind of sleepy, no getting around that. It’s also hard to find decent comfort food that isn’t from a fast food joint. This place was warm and welcoming and the rueben was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely a welcome experience on a frigid November evening.

I’ve noticed some pretty spotty reviews for this place but we’ve had a great experience each time. The atmosphere is pretty cozy – the place is small and they have a nice fireplace as the focal point of the dining room. Their beer selection is great, and the food was really good. We both got the sourdough burger the first time we went in and haven’t tried anything else since. The burger is always cooked perfectly and really juicy… the sourdough bread is just toasted enough(it doesn’t shatter into crumbs when you bite into it)…the sauteed onions and frisco-type sauce are pretty standard but totally delicious… and the melty swiss is gooey and awesome. I’ve had this with both fries and sauteed veggies. They have big, steak cut fries that have always been hot, fresh and crispy when I’ve had them. It’s hard not to order those every time but I sometimes go for the sauteed veggies, which are less punishing. They give you a gigantic portion of veggies, and it’s a pretty good variety – carrots, green beans, zucchini/squash and bell peppers, if I remember correctly. For all I know this may be the ONLY thing on the menu that doesn’t suck, since I’ve never tried anything else. But I like variety, and I always want to sample a menu, so for something to be so good that I stick with it is pretty impressive. We haven’t been here in a while so I’d like to go back and see if it’s still as good as I remember

My better half and I decided to head out 8−3−13 and I encouraged him to try out O’Dell’s. It was Saturday evening around 8pm so they had a bit of a crowd and a young lady singing for entertainment. She was very good. We found seating and then it was a bit of a wait to get some attention but once we did all was well. I ordered the O’Dell’s Pale Ale which happened to be on draft that evening. It was light and decent. I am not a beer expert, so take my critique for what it is worth. My spouse had the Bud Light. We had the«Jack Wings» which were pretty good. A bit of kick with some sweetness. We also ordered the Potato Skins, which I believe were house made. As an APP eater, that is something that can be hard to find. Very good. I guess what was surprising to me was that there were the kids in the establishment. I assumed this bar was for the 21 and up crowd. Nothing against it, however worth noting in this review, since I was wondering if my daughter could try out the place. There is no smoking in the restaurant. They do have a «beer garden» outside. Not sure if smoking was allowed there as we sat inside. They do have free WiFi. I will admit that I was disappointed that a «corned beef dinner» was not on the menu. They do have a corned beef reuben sandwich as a previous reviewer noted. So I would say that the fare is more«bar food» if that makes sense. If you are looking for a cold beer and an appetizer, worth trying out. However do come when you have time to relax a bit and not in a hurry.

Great new addition to Eureka! My husband has been grabbing a beer there for a few weeks, and he and I have eaten there twice in the last week. Appetizer: loaded fries are yummy! We love the O’Dell’s sauce, which is horseradish based. Main dishes: The Guiness brat is great! Loaded with sautéed onions, slightly sweet. Tonight I had the O’Dell’s burger without a bun: ½ lb burger topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese, and sauce. Excellent! Beer: great selection! Service: Great! Very friendly! This is our new favorite place in town.
