Dog food here gets 5 stars, well that’s what my dogs told me to say! :P We got burgers for us here and they where pretty great too. Huge side serving of potato salad. Nobody came to check on us while we there but the place is really relaxed it’s just cool to be able to get lunch with your dogs and go inside somewhere. Our dogs love the chicken liver muffins! :D

I go here pretty regularly, and I wouldn’t recognize it from what Joan H wrote. The food is what I would call«quality comfort food,» things like meat loaf, macaroni and cheese, and Southern fried chicken – all with an attention to detail that makes it worth ordering here rather than making it at home. Macaroni and cheese has a creamy texture and a full, interesting cheese flavor. Poultry dishes are always tender and juicy – you can thin-slice the white meat in the fried chicken, and the thick-sliced turkey in a hot turkey sandwich is never dry or stringy. The beef is grass-fed, the produce, whenever possible, is local, and they cure their own bacon and sausage. Potatoes are always cooked through, and cooked vegetables are always still firm and colorful. Pie crusts are both flaky and cohesive. Because this is a small, neighborhood business, there is a little doorbell button on the pastry case in case you don’t see anybody when you come in, with a sign that says, «Push Button for Service.» Use it. Service is cheery and reliable.

Absolutely the worst. The sandwich I was served was 5 days old. Bread was stale, the tomato had turned to mush. It had obviously been sitting in the refrigerator since it was the special earlier in the week and was inedible. I asked for a diet Pepsi and was handed a can. No straw or glass. Service was abysmal. If you have a lot of time to wait you will eventually get your order. The ambiance is grim. They have one menu per table and one salt and pepper shaker at the counter for the entire place. If you want salt you have to get up and get it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
