They used to be at least OK but now it’s not good at all. He opens at 7AM and closes at 7PM but if you go there 30 minutes after he opens, you’ll get day-old donuts but pay fresh donut prices. A donut shop needs to open at six and have hot donuts at that time. No one needs you to be open at 7 o’clock in the evening. Most individual owner doughnut shops open at six and close around 11 or 12 o’clock. And by the way don’t ask for a cup of coffee before nine. It won’t be ready either.

On a Sunday around 2pm not much of a selection. I was able to grab up a fritter and honey bun. Tasted the fritter. Good and buttery. I’ll try again on an earlier day when the selection is up.

I wasn’t extremely impressed with the doughnut selection, but I have to caveat that with the fact that we didn’t arrive until the afternoon on a weekend. So there’s a good chance all the good stuff was just already sold out. That being said, they had a small selection of very basic doughnuts and a few cinnamon rolls, and nothing really tasted better than what you could find at any supermarket in town. The cinnamon rolls didn’t taste very ‘cinnamony’ to us, and the kids even threw a good portion of their chocolate covered doughnuts away. Aside from the food, the bathroom in the store was absolutely filthy. It didn’t appear to have been cleaned in a week — assuming that’s because few people actually eat there at the store. The young lady working the desk was friendly, though, for what that’s worth.

The donuts are sorta dry and greasy at the same time but it’s the only local donut shop in the area and if you don’t want Dunkin Donuts all the time, you’re sorta stuck with it here. Be forewarned though, I’ve spotted a lot of flies buzzing in and out of their cases probably due to the door frequently opening and the drive through window being so close to the back area. They are definitely a hot spot for the two schools around the corner though so kids can get that last bit of sugar high in. The last time I was in, the owner tried pushing me to buy more than two donuts so that’s a definite«no no» from me from now on. 57⁄2014

My sweetie and I ventured out to buy some donuts this morning on labor day. I know that most establishments are closed on holidays, but this time we did not luck out! The storefront is not very inviting, but where I come from in NY most dive eateries are the ones that serve the best foods. There was not a massive amount or varieties of donuts to choose from being that it is labor day. Thats ok. My eyes stopped at the maple éclair and sugar twist. I wouldve liked it with bacon but it was not ready yet. My honey opted for the old fashioned and glazed with crumbs. The menu of options enticed me to order more, but ill just eat with my eyes for now till my next visit;) It does have a drive through which is sweet for the ones on the go. We will be visiting again!

I had high hopes for this place, because apparently, it is only 1 of 2 locally owned doughnut shops in the area. I knew beforehand that it wasn’t going to be a gourmet doughnut place, but hey, I was at least hoping it’d be a cut above the likes of KK and DD. Well…it was… and it wasn’t. I liked the yeast raised doughnuts in that they aren’t covered in a sheen of glaze like krispy kreme ones are. That is basically the end of the pro list. Cons? Okay, how about the fact that the girl just dumped all three of my cold doughnuts in a paper bag? So they all got smushed together, and the icing was all ruined on one of them once I precariously took it out. None tasted fresh at all. Disappointing. Or maybe the fact that the apple fritter(the most expensive at $ 2.50) was cold and tasted like a huge glob of fried dough. I don’t recall tasting any chunks of apple in it at all. Sure, I tasted cinnamon and apple flavor, but I sure didn’t bite down on any apple bits. You will feel like you just consumed 3000 fried and oily calories, with no pay-off in terms of memorable flavor/texture. SKIP the fritter at all costs!

This place is really touch-and-go. I’ve been before when the donuts were fresh and hot, but I’ve been more often when they were a touch stale. This morning my husband brought me their donuts as a treat and we were both disappointed. The apple fritter seemed like it had been made yesterday morning, the chocolate frosted donuts were piled together so their icing got smeared off, and the jam-filled was so dry it was like eating an old dinner roll. May not be back for a long while, if ever. I didn’t finish them, and I am a pregnant donut fiend. Owners: you really need to step it up.

Their donuts are FANTASTIC! We tried the glazed twists, apple fritter, and believe it or not… a maple glazed, barvarian cream filled, and topped with a piece of bacon, donut!!! They were all amazing, but that maple/cream/bacon one was over the top, in an awesome donut way! And the nice lady behind the counter was very helpful and sweet. We’ll definitely be back.

Great little donut shop where you can watch the donuts being made. The selection changes a little from day to day. They also have a drive-through window. Just one table so mostly a pick-up shop. The only minus is they don’t serve coffee.
