We love the original down off of 8th Ave so we figured we’d try this one since it was close. We ordered a large pizza for over $ 20. When we went to go pick it up, the toppings were skimpy! Hardly any sauce and our crust was burnt. We tried calling and no answer. I wrote an email to the restaurant and had no reply. Expensive crappy food and terrible customer service.

The service was excellent, the prices were good, the portions were large, the food was pretty bland. We tried 3 different carolis(their recipes, we didn’t create our own), cheese bread, and pepperoni bread. The cheese bread had a heavy olive oil taste, and very much lacked butter and garlic. The carolis were stuffed with so much cheese it over powered any flavor from the other ingredients. The pepperoni bread was supposed to be on garlic bread, again you can’t taste garlic or spices. The sauce was very thin, so when you dipped your caroli, it just wet it without giving it any more flavor that it needed. Overall, I probably won’t go back if it were my choice but I’d try it again if a friend wanted to go. Everything needs more garlic and spices. So if you want great service and ‘okay’ food this is your place!

Was in the mood for Italian and thought we’d try Roma. I’m not sure if this would be considered«authentic» pasta and I’ve just had«Americanized» pasta my while life but we were not impressed by the pastas. We each had the Trio and the pasta was mush, more like the texture of overlooked homemade eggs noodles. Staff was extremely friendly and on top of it. Maybe the pizza is better, which we will try next time.

When we moved to Greeley around 2005, we kept hearing how good Romas was so we decided to check it out. At that time, I believe they only had the one location that is now referred to as the Roma on Campus location on 16th Street because it is not far from the UNC campus. We only ever ate there that one time as we were not impressed with the food or restaurant. It has been a long time, so I can’t remember any specifics about the food, just that it didn’t warrant having it again. I do remember that the place was dingy, dark, dank and had a really gross, musty stale smell to it like lots of old beer and dust. I remember thinking how old and almost crusty the thin carpet seemed. We figured that since this was so close to the college and was known to be a popular college hangout that over the years the floors had probably seen a lot of spilled beer which probably explained the smell. Anyway, flash forward 10 years to 2015. There are now 3 locations, the original one by campus, one on 10th Street they refer to as the«west» location and one on 23rd Avenue in Evans that they refer to as the«evans» location. We got a coupon in the mail for Romas and decided maybe it was worth trying again and we visited the Evans location. After looking at the menu, hubby and I decided to share a cheese pizza and our son got a half order of spaghetti with marinara sauce which included a piece of garlic bread. Our order took a bit longer than we thought it would but it wasn’t so long that we were upset or anything. There was only one other table seated but they seemed to be pretty busy with to go orders pizzas were flying out the door. Our son liked his spaghetti well enough. We tasted it and it wasn’t bad. The spaghetti noodles are thicker than standard spaghetti and tasted homemade. The marinara sauce was not bad. It was a pretty pungent sauce with the strong tomato taste you get from tomato paste which some people love and some people hate. For our taste, it was definitely edible and wasn’t the best or worse spaghetti we’ve had. The pizza tasted pretty good. The crust was thin and crispy and almost cracker like in its crunchy texture. There was a decent amount of cheese. We both thought that it was good but needed a little more sauce and maybe a tiny bit of salt or something to give it more tang. Hubby commented that if it just had a little more sauce that the pizza would be awesome. We had a coupon, so what was already a reasonably priced meal for 3 people was a deal. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was enjoyed so we’d definitely visit again!
