This place is now closed. They say on the door that there is a similar store in Andersonville. Too bad!

I walked into this gallery with my daughter to shop and the worker rudely told me to leave my umbrella at the door so I would not ‘drip all over her store’…this was as I was trying to find a spot for my umbrella(which I had obviously closed before entering) by the door. As a boutique owner myself and an adult with common sense, I did not need to be told this. I was completely dumbfounded by her lack of respect and rudeness. Hopefully, next time she’ll be less reluctant to greet shoppers like this.

Definitely a place to check out if you have free time! The best way I can describe it is if Etsy had real life store this would be it. Little boutiques all wrapped up into 1 store. There’s something for everyone in here. I really liked the paintings and the homemade candles. If you need a cute gift for a friend, you can probably find something here.

If you have time to kill in the area, check out the Galleria. There are several booths inside, all occupied by different artist’s work, and many sell Chicago-centric items. I was surprised that the vast majority of the items I picked up were affordable. There was a set of throw pillows with Chicago skyline and sports images for about $ 35/each. I was surprised, because throw pillows are usually so expensive but these weren’t much more than if I’d gone to Crate & Barrel or Target. But since my beagle repeatedly attacks our pillows, these didn’t come home with me. As most art spaces go, there are a number of jewelry, handbag, scarf and candle vendors. I spent some time perusing the space with handmade lotion and lip balm. The Cherry Almond($ 4) smelled like an edible version of Jergen’s lotion. The«GrownUp Kid Stuff» was intriguing as well — lots of chocolate and caramel sauces to choose from. The vendors are different than the Galleria in Andersonville, and the vendors may come and go, so if you are in the area it may be worth checking out fairly often. I only browsed the Galleria and left without making any purchase. I’d recommend the Galleria to anyone who likes to shop local or is looking for a unique gift.

Angela S. is right, this place does feel like a year-round art fair! Some of the artists featured are quirky and cute, some are talented tailors and knitters, some make extraordinary candles that smell soooo fantastic, and some make Chicago-themed paintings. There’s a little bit of everything here, and it looks like it probably constantly changes. I found gift items and bags that I will definitely be back for asap. This is a great place to go to find that unique, handmade item for yourself or someone you like. Prices are all over the place(probably depends on the artist), so look at everything and you’re sure to find something to buy.

This isn’t really one of those places you go to look for something in particular(or at least for me), but it’s a wonderful place to visit if you have some time to kill. They have a big selection of random things, ranging from food to jewelry to clothing to crafts, etc. Love that the prices are reasonable — some things are on the pricier end, but most things are more than affordable. Great place to look for gifts as well(they have some Evanston/Chicagoland area themed crafts!)

I came as a +1 for a Unilocal Elite event and I was really pleasantly surprised. I’d walked past the Galleria a bunch of times, but it isn’t that impressive from the outside, so I never walked in — huge regret. The art was spectacular and it was a lot more varied than I expected — there wasn’t just paintings and photos, but also lots of jewelry, really cute night lights, and the most delicious chocolate bars and chocolate sauces. I bought some chocolate on the night of the event, but most of it is already gone, so I’ll definitely be back for more!

I was just here as a +1 for a Unilocal elite event and was amazed that this sort of place existed on Evanston! It seems like a hub for Evanston’s up and coming small businesses. Apart from the typical art pieces, handmade jewelry, and clothing, there is also a great niche for small batch artisanal food. Some of the ones represented were chocolate bars(absolutely delicious, especially the almond toffee), gourmet mustards, chocolate sauce, and toffee. It was overwhelming but amazing to see the wealth of talent in such a small space. I will definitely be back to pick up some of that chocolate.

What a fabulous space. I came here for the Unilocal Elite event and found myself just loving the space and getting a chance to talk to each of the artists. I snagged a couple jars of the GrownUp Kid Stuff — — where I immediately brought it home and my husband insisted on dipping fresh fruit in the chocolate with Grand Marnier sauce. I also picked up a Stacy Rauba & Yutaka Fujita piece which was hard because there was so much other beautiful stuff! If I had money to spend, I would have picked up one of Stacy’s capes — the fabric was stunning and the cut was flattering! There are so many other fantastic artists — there was one for violins with beautiful designs and another whose art was done with pigmented beeswax.

I’d been to the Galleria in Andersonville, and this location is much the same, just less cramped. It’s a great showcase for local artisans to sell their wares in individual booths. Nice place to find gifts, particularly if you’re looking for unique Chicago-themed stuff(though not everything is). It’s the type of stuff you might find on but you can see it all in person! I got some of my Christmas shopping done, and would definitely keep it in mind for future gift-giving, as I have the store in Andersonville. Definitely a must-stop if you are shopping in Evanston!

Coming here is like going to an art festival, except it’s indoors and all year long. Lured by the fantastic storefront alone, you can truly lose yourself in this galleria looking for a gift for someone or the perfect home/fashion accessory. Artists come here to rent a space. Here they can test out a new product or have a place to sell their goods without the commitment of a brick and mortar. Look around and you’ll find all sorts of arty gifts and wares, from gourmet olive oils, chocolates and sauces, hats, quilts, artwork, glass lights, hats, scarves, jewelry, etc. There is so much more to mention that I can’t possibly remember to capture it all. This means you’ll have to stop in and write a review so you can finish the list for me. Ha! Conveniently located across from Barnes and Noble in the heart of it all, grab a cup of coffee and come mill about. If you’re not the creative type, I guarantee you’ll leave wishing you were. What started as a pop-up shop during the holiday season, you no longer have to wait for it. This new second location(Andersonville in the city is the first) is here to stay. If you’re wondering if they carry the same items as their sister store, they don’t. In fact they have a whole group of artisans who are up on the North Shore displaying their goods. A must visit, especially for those coming from out of town looking to buy something locally handmade. I’ll be back!
