Francesca’s Collections

I usually love Francesca’s and have bought a number of items from there, especially jewelry. However, I am giving this location only 1 star because of the incredibly poor customer service I received there. When I first walked in, the sales associated were friendly. I tried on a few items, decided they weren’t for me and went to the counter to make a return of an item I bought a month and a half ago. The tags were still on and I had the receipt. The sales associate told me I could not return it because the item was currently a clearance Item. I explained that I had bought it at full price in July and just wanted to receive store credit. Another person became involved, I believe the manager, and told me that it was beyond the time frame that I could return it for merchandise credit. I said, «I thought I had 90 days» and she replied that, «It’s September, that’s more than 90 days.» Which I replied, «no, it’s been 60 days.» They looked at the receipt again and read the return policy printed at the bottom. After they realized their mistake, they replied that I could not have a refund and could only have store credit. I said «I’m not asking for a refund, but simply merchandise credit.» The person that I believed to be a manager, rudely reprimanded me telling me that I «should return an item as soon as I decide that I don’t want it.» I do not appreciate that, as I clearly abided by the return policy. I am currently pregnant and bought the dress thinking it would work well further into my pregnancy, but found out it did not, so I simply decided to return it since it was still within the 90 day time frame. I was really disappointed with this interaction, as I shop at Francesca’s frequently. I must say that because of this interaction, I probably will not return to this location, even though it is only several blocks from my house.

This place has sucked me in so many times and I never learn my lesson. It seems like it should have so much cute stuff but then it turns out most of it is crap.
If you need some last minute earrings for an event or a last minute gag or bachelorette gift, you can probably find those things here– the only things I’ve ever ended up actually purchasing have been in the jewelery section.
The gag type items (tiny beer mug shot glasses, furry sunnies, a glass that holds an entire bottle of wine) are all things you could find on amazon for half the price.
The clothing and purses always look good from a distance, and that’s about it.
Basically unless you’re a freshman in college, this store is just a time-​wasting trap.

I’m a big fan of this Francesca’s — usually lots of selection that changes regularly and really friendly salespeople. There is always a sale going on of some sort and typically I end up going from just quickly window shopping to popping inside and buying something. It seems like the inventory changes weekly so if you see something you really like, I’d recommend snatching it up (though your wallet might not love this attitude :))
Despite its smaller size, this store really packs in a lot of items — take your time to search through the racks and tables scattered throughout the store. Usually there are small sales sections sprinkled throughout of dresses, jewelry, home goods and random accessories which are often quite tempting. Shoes are along the ground underneath the racks of clothes along the walls.
The dressing rooms are in the back and the sales staff will definitely do their best to help you find the right size.
