This Starbucks is my homebase, and in the three years I’ve stopped here this is the BEST it’s ever been! Most of the staff is new, and it makes a world of a difference! Very friendly and efficient. Before, the staff stood around and gossiped, and were slow to complete orders. Out of the four coffees I’d buy a week, at least one would be scorched. Now, every order I make through the app is there waiting for me, AND it’s perfect! Anywho, yay Starbucks on Main!

Staff at this Starbucks do a fair job of filling your order and of course the quality is always good, but why can’t the one rude barista just be nice? When she’s working, look out. I feel like I’m in grade school being corrected by an angry teacher. I don’t get that at any of the other probably five Starbucks in Evanston and Skokie that I frequent.

Nice little Starbucks with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for working. Service is fast and friendly too. A nice alternative if you’re waiting for service at one of the Autobarn places, it’s a quick walk.

This place has become a regular part of my early morning routine allowing me to do crosswords and get entertained by the staff. They know my «warm weather drink, cold weather drink and reward drink.» Jody, Frankie, Candace, Angel, Gio, Sam, etc., are very friendly and make the drinks well. They keep the store clean and I’ve seen them deal with some challenging customers with a smile on their face.

They are always crowded but the baristas work extremely fast. So, you are in and out! They have always been pleasant when I am here. The bathroom and store is usually clean. And my drink order is always correct and made well. So far no complaints.

I really dislike this Starbucks. One of the baristas is just really unnecessarily loud, which makes it unpleasant to hang out here. Today another barista asked me how I was doing and as I was answering, the loud barista just starts talking to her, ignoring and interrupting me. Otherwise, service and drink quality have been hit or miss for me, sometimes ok, sometimes not.

Obviously, I have been to many many Starbucks in my life, much like many other people. It’s fine you aren’t chatty, but to be down right rude, MORETHANONCE, makes me think twice about visiting this Starbucks. I have gone to school and worked around the corner from this location for a long time and time and time again, the customer service is sub par. They are rude, they don’t acknowledge you, they have an attitude, your order is wrong, etc. I just went in and after the the cashier refused to say anything to me as she rang up and couldn’t be bothered to look at me in the face, I tell her to have a great day. My order was wrong, and while I normally would just let it go, I paid for a larger size that I really wanted today.(Mind you, my order was a tall coffee, and a grande iced coffee, both black. Not exactly rocket science here) Well without a word, she doesn’t look at me, stomps back to the cash register and then throws down the new drink at me. No. sorry, no nothing. I wasn’t rude, I just said, «I’m sorry, I think I ordered a grande.» This is the last time I’m barely acknowledged as a human being in there, There’s no need with Brothers K and Hoosier Mama down the street.

Service at this location is less than mediocre. They are not helpful with picking drinks, drinks were not made up to my standards and they had no idea how to work the wifi. I’d say they need some more training, but that’s just me.

My regular Starbucks. I am friendly with all the baristas here, and they offer consistently good service. I have no qualms about this location.

This location is my favorite Starbucks. I go to this Starbucks every morning on my way to work, and the barista’s know my name and preferences at this point. Once, when I was confused about the refill policy and ran out the door without one to get to work, they decided to give me a free drink the next morning. They’re especially friendly and patient with customers here, unlike other Starbucks I’ve been in. The environment inside is nice. There’s plenty of room for me to find a seat every morning, and somebody brings a stack of Redeye inside so I rarely need to grab one out front. It’s usually relatively quiet. I’m not sure how things are throughout the day, but this is such a nice place to relax in the morning and prepare for the day ahead.

Hard to review a Starbucks but, this one is good. It’s 2 block from my house and work so it’s on the way no matter whee I’m going or coming from. The staff is totally cool and always busy doing stuff. I don’t mind when there’s a line cause I don’t go in during peak hours when I’m in a rush. Great coffee as always! !

Hands down, the worst operated Starbucks I’ve ever visited. Consistently understaffed — especially during the most crucial times. Would be okay if baristas could multi-task, but the baristas here can barely take your order and breath at the same time. Go to the Starbucks on Dempster for a superb example of how a smaller Starbucks should be run.

I never really know what to say when I review chains(especially ones as big as Starbucks). Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible, but the staff was friendly and I liked how there was variety in places to sit(regular tables vs. high tables, etc.). Location is pretty spacious, and good lighting.

I don’t normally waste the time to write reviews for Starbucks, what with the generally standard level of service, offerings, and quality that places most stores somewhere around a 3.5 stars, but this location was very impressive. Sure, it had the new-style store design and extended food offerings, but the barista(I believe her name was Carmen) offered exemplary customer service. After hearing I’d ordered a grande Americano from the cashier, the barista suggested I try their Clover machine(French press/vacuum brewer combo) with the darkest beans they had, and chatted with me through the process of the brewing. If you’ve never had coffee from a Clover, I highly suggest it. Then, to top it off, they knowingly charged me for a grande Americano, a few bucks cheaper. If I’m ever up in Evanston again, I’ll definitely stop back in.

This review is long overdue, and at least partially directed at every Starbucks I’ve been to, from airport locations at O’Hare, McCarran and JFK, to the one at Harrah’s in Vegas, but my Evanston Main Street one gets these props. I started ‘coffee-ing’ at Starbucks over a year ago, with some gift cards I got myself, and am now a registered card-carrying fool. I find it rather a boon to have a warm tasty drink at hand when driving around on chilly weekends, or after a long El ride downtown. I usually opt for a caramel something-or-other, but have been exploring the menu options of late(yesterday’s strawberries and crème frappucino was an instant hit); I was even perfectly happy with the baked goods I bought during my Harrah’s stay. Though you don’t get much of a ‘discount’ for using the reusable cup(10 cents), I toss that helping-the-environment gesture in my karma bag, keeping it safe and warm. Nothing bad to say about Starbucks; I appreciate the ubiquity and convenience, I’m usually greeted pleasantly, I rarely have to wait long… can’t ask for much more than that!

It’s just a regular Starbucks, except the baristas are really nice. I came in once shortly before closing when they were about to throw/give away the sandwiches and pastries for the day, so when I tried to buy one they just gave it to me! Nothing wrong with it, but they only sell stuff same day. So how about that! They totally made my day!

Step 1. Order your coffee drink Step 2. Pay & step to the side Step 3. Coffee drink is promptly served. Pick it up(say thank you to the barista). Step 4. Enjoy Step 5.(There’s no Step 5.)

Just wretched customer service! Today I walked in smiling and friendly to two men chock full of ‘gaytitude’ who looked at me like mannequins, refusing to smile, REFUSINGTOEVENACKNOWLEDGEMEWITHWORDSAFTER I SAIDHI, looked at me like I was a leper, and I really should have walked out, because once again, for the 3rd time in a month, I have horrible ‘upset stomach’ and am a slave to my toilet after drinking their milk, which they obviously don’t keep refrigerated properly, because it ALWAYS seems to make me sick. If I don’t order something with their milk in it, I’m ok, but, I like milk in my coffee drinks, that’s kind of the point of paying 5 $ for a coffee outside of my own kitchen is to have something special. The coffee doesn’t taste very good, the look-down-your-nose attitude is atrocious. Do these people not realize they are simple retail peons, not kings and queens because they pull espresso shots into plastic cups? Ridiculous waste of money, I have regretted every visit here. There is one young lady with very short hair who is always friendly and I always tip when she’s there, but I doubt I will ever give this Starbucks my business after what happened today. Fake nice, superficial, egomaniac baristas need to get a grip on reality. Just terrible. Oh, I forgot, the past 2 weeks every day, there are TONS of bugs and fruit flys on the pastry in the pie case, and when I mention it, they just shrug. Christ almighty lol. It’s like they’re sedated.

HORRIBLE customer service. I haven’t gone back since the barista was rude to me. I forgot to say«no whip» when I ordered my drink, and when the barista asked me if I wanted whipped cream on my latte, I said no thanks, he replied«well maybe you should have said that when you ordered your drink.» Well maybe you should be nicer to your customers. I think I’ll travel a longer distance to a Starbucks with friendlier staff. **Update** I told this story to Starbucks through their company website. They apologized and sent me 5 free drink vouchers — excellent business practice. This is why I love Starbucks. Unfortunately, the said staff member still works there, and I still don’t like going there because he’s so grumpy all the time. Last time I went, I used the voucher when I ordered… and I waited… and waited. He forgot to make my drink. He was too busy complaining to another customer why Christians are stupid for believing in God. Honestly, I’m not making this up. Luckily there are so many Starbucks in the city of Chicago with fantastic staff.
