I’ve been wearing Title 9 clothing for about 10+ years and was delighted when I could stop catalog shopping or taking side trips to Walnut Creek, CA (yeah, I seriously did that) to shop at one of their retail locations. T9 has been in Evanston for years now and I am relatively exclusive in wearing their products because they are AWESOME! T9 carries their own line, as well as Prana, Horny Toad and a variety of quality women’s ‘sporty’ clothing lines.
Why the review now for clothes that have been cute, comfy and outdoorsy-stylish forever? I had the best experience in the store the other day with Athena, a relatively new salesperson. She greeted me warmly, guided me towards items I was interested in and was totally honest in her assessment of the clothes I tried on. She made my shopping experience far more enjoyable and that’s worthy of 5-stars — the sweater I picked up is great too.

I went in once (had loved the catalog)-and was greeted, before asking or even completely entering, with this phrase. (NOTE I AM A SIZE 12 and was purchasing, hello, work out gear?!?)
«WE DONT CARRY YOUR SIZE»…
WHY, woman selling womens work-out gear who was also about a size 12, must we put other women down? Women who look like you? Women who are about to buy something?
Self hatred has no place in customer service, M’am. Neither does projection.
a) I could have been there looking for a gift
b) I buy their things regularly, and they fit just fine, thank you for noticing
c) Assumptions are the pinnacle of poor service and former customers.

I love love LOVE this place! It’s a women’s athletic store that’s not your traditional «granola hippie» shop and doesn’t have ridiculous Lululemon prices. A loose, bright and floor length halter dress caught my eye as I was exploring my old neighborhood and on an impulse, I walked in to try it on and walked out happy as a clam with a beautiful stretch Lycra halter dress.
The walls were stocked to the gills with really gorgeous yoga tops, casual bottoms and dresses for all occasions. The athletic tops were built well, sexy, and reasonably priced. They have such an amazing selection of all sorts of winter gear as well and they take sell the best of what they find. I love how comfy I am in their tops and how awesome I look in their dresses as well. It’s also nice to not have to advertise that little telltale symbol on EVERY piece of yoga apparel for once.
