Ay Chihuahua

this is not fine dining but, when it comes to authentic mexican cuisine this is the best casual dining place that ive found since i moved to WA 6 years ago. the tacos are really good and the salsa is my favorite anywhere. service is always friendly, and usually quite fast. prices and portions are right on the money. the bar is also worth mentioning. this is authentic mexican, all spanish jukebox and karaōke and the bar makes good balanced and stiff drinks. try their assortment of tequilas, they are sure to have one that tastes just right to you! i eat here about once a month and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

We went to eat at Ay Chihuahua for the first time today. We visited about a week before and saw that they advertised $ 1 dollar tacos on their board outside but it was only for lunch. The advertising definitely made us come in, but since we were just looking for a snack we did not actually eat this day. Today we wanted to stop and get lunch on the way to Seattle and knew this was the place to stop. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the man behind the counter. He was friendly and offered us a seat. We ordered the lunch special taco’s and a drink for $ 6 and 3 additional so we could try a variety. We ordered 2 Adobada, 2 Asada, 2 carinitas, and 2 al pastor. After taking our order the server brought us some chips and salsa, the salsa was great! A nice touch of garlic and a lot of cilantro.
He brought our drinks and the tacos about 15 mins. later. The Adobada were Just ok, the Asada was about average, the Pastor was the stand out for me and the carnitas were my girlfriends favorite. She said they were juicy and very good. They offer 2 different sauces the green chili verde and the red. The red was very good and if it wasnt for it I would of probably not have ate all of my share of the tacos. The green was mild but also very tasty. The waiter was very friendly and the service was good.
Over all it was just OK. The service was better than the quality of the food.
