Everything I have had here is great, omelletes, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, service! Ordering To-Go was a long wait. Also, it’s cash only! There’s a santander bank across the street or you could pay with some app that I hadn’t heard of before. Anyways — delicious basic breakfast ! :)

This has easily become one of my favorite for Sunday breakfast friendly, family run and good food. Both times I’ve been I had the Irish Benny which does not disappoint I’m dying to try the French toast which sounds delicious. Only caveat this place is cash only and do not come in a hurry other then that delicious.

One of my favorite Everett spots to grab breakfast. Everything here that I’ve ever had has been awesome especially the omelets and breakfast sandwiches. I typically order to go because I don’t particularly enjoy the seating. But other than that love them!

I’ve gone here dozens of times and I always love it. Make sure you bring cash, that’s the only downside!(But there is a Bank of America ATM across the street too). I usually get chocolate chip pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream, which is just so good. The pancakes are huge and delicious. And they give you fresh fruit, and a lot of it. I have gotten various eggs benedict/omelet dishes and those were all delicious. Have tried waffles and French toast, and I love those too, but their pancakes are delicious so I usually get those. Their home fries are phenomenal! So good, very flavorful and crispy. And the waitress who is always there is super nice and funny, she’s always running around making sure everyone has what they need. I like that you can see everyone cooking, it’s always fun to watch. I’ve had breakfast at other places in Everett but this is my favorite.

I had to hit this place up because my mother’s maiden name is Dempsey, so I had to see if it lived up to her name and it did. The food here is 100% standard diner food. I don’t think you will have any revelations here, but you can also be sure you know what you’re getting here will be decent. I got the western omelet with whole wheat toast… Not much to report on except that I was fully satisfied when I was done eating. The free cup of coffee with an omelet is what pushed this from 3 to four stars. I had the coconut coffee which put a nice little sparkle in my day. The service was pleasant and the ambiance is straight up EVERETT. One final note, they take LevelUp which is essentially like getting 10% off your tab if you can manage to spend $ 30 over a couple meals.

I went here because I wanted waffles but Dempsey’s french toast was so tempting I went for it instead. Four slices of french toast with dollops and dollops of very sweet bavarian cream. The idea is great but it didn’t really taste great. It was very sweet but it was lacking in flavor, in my opinion. I ate a quarter of it and took it home because I felt bad. A day in the fridge and I tossed it. My husband, on the other hand, got blueberry pancakes. Those were gooooood. They are huge too. He got three and we shared them cause my french toast wasn’t yummy, we still didn’t get to finish it. It was THAT big, bigger than my face, and my face is pretty big. Flavored coffee, meh. It was exciting but, again, it was blah. Tasted like it was watered down. It wan’t that cheap either. I wish we had gone to iHOP instead. I don’t even like iHOP.

Food was good. They sat us next to the bathroom though, so the door keeps bumping my chair. The service was mediocre. Prices were fine. Probably won’t go back, there are better places around.

Textbook greasy spoon, love it! Crispy bacon, seasoned crunchy potatoes with no weird orange onions and side cinnamon toast soaked in butter. Bonus, they take LevelUp(otherwise cash only).

Breakfast is a meal you shouldn’t have to wait a longtime for. If you like your eggs without the frills, this is a great local place with no wait, delicious food and reasonable prices. The Irish Eggs Benedict and Waffles are yummy and fulfilling. If possible, get the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Pancakes. It might be too much for one person but worth sharing.

I go to Dempsy’s daily the food is great and it’s one of the cleanest places that you’ll ever go to. The service is great I definitely highly suggest giving Dempsy’s a try, i love it here! They are like family to me now.

Iv been comin here since I was about 14(13 years) and old enough to go get breakfast with my friends this is the place where you want to eat and it’s not healthy but it’s amazing and filling. You get big plates tons of food the wait staff knows your name and says hi and all very friendly. Years back they changed owners but not the good quality, the prices have gone up but so hasn’t every where eles. We usually spend 40 for 3 of us but we do get a lot of food. It’s packed on the weekends and usually a wait but during the week it’s nice and quiet and you can just sit right down. I wish it was a little bigger but overall I wouldn’t change anything!!!

Such a great breakfast place to stop by! My partner and I ordered the omelet supreme, scrambled eggs with bacon, and strawberry waffles. Everything was so delicious and came out quickly! The workers there were really friendly and gave us a type of comfortable, home feeling. We will definitely be coming back and often too!

Good ol’ mama and papa place, feels quite and cozy. Good food and friendly staff(sometimes) I’ve had a bad visit once where the lady who helped wasn’t super friendly but other time have made up for it. I love me the Dempsey special! yum

Just had an extremely unpleasant breakfast here. I squeezed syrup onto my french toast and ate 75% of it. My friend tried using the syrup and it got clogged. We open the top and there was a fly stuck inside preventing the syrup from coming out. We immediately stop eating and notify the waitress. They still had the nerve to charge us $ 10. Never going here again and I will be advising others not to.

Awesome joint. Breakfast here is well done and I’ve tried several omelettes from them and have always been pleased. I really like the George’s special which is a turkey and egg white breakfast sandwich with tomatoes. It’s really so simple and just done so well. Good home fries too. Another fave is the stuffed French toast I think it’s called dempsey’s toast? It’s French toast stuffed with custard. Yummmmm. Not to be had too often tho =) Okay highlights from the bakery. NUTELLATURNOVER. If you can get your hands on them, try to leave some for the rest of us. Res velvet muffin. Yum. Staff is always friendly and very efficient. The chef is a beast. He handles the whole kitchen so well. Kudos from a fellow cook who’s worked weekend brunches.

Breakfast was good but overpriced. They charge $ 1.50 for EVERYTHING on top of everything! And not to mention I paid for bacon and never gotten bacon on my Togo order! First and last time for me.

This is my favorite breakfast place. Everything is fresh and made to order. The hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict is the best I’ve ever had at a diner. Their link sausage is really, really good. Homefries are always perfect– cooked nice and crispy on the outside and seasoned well. Waffles are huge and the strawberries are fresh, not the icky, syrupy stuff some places have. The whipped cream is real, too. I have twin toddlers and when we go in, the staff is always really nice, even thought they tend to be messy. There are a lot of regulars, and yes, the waitstaff does tend to chat them up more, but I have never had anything but prompt, friendly service– even on a Saturday morning when they are packed.

Hey Dempsey’s: Hire a manager. The utter lack of a manager in this restaurant is ludicrous. The food is totally average diner food, and the service is an outrageous farce. Today, after having been seated for 45 minutes, my pregnant wife and I left when the waitress gave us attitude for having the audacity to inquire about our order. «I’m sure it’ll be out soon,» she said sarcastically as she continued to bus every table in the restaurant and not check on our order. I noted that the customers to either side of us, whom both arrived long after us, were done eating before we’d even been served. She then lied to my face and said that they got there first. Waitresses here apparently aren’t allowed to care at ALL about anyone who isn’t in «their section.» The waitress next to us kept telling us that our waitress would be with us soon, but she couldn’t possibly have cared less about us. Trying to take care of us herself literally must not have crossed her mind. Drive the extra half-hour round trip to IHOP and you’ll still be saving time. Also, Dempsey’s, nice job on the BRANDNEWSIGN you installed that looks far worse and more outdated than the original. Putting a picture of breakfast next to the word«lunch» and vice versa was a nice touch. If you don’t have 2 hours to waste on a mediocre breakfast, or if you’re not one of the regular locals that they apparently recognize, Dempsey’s is not interested in taking your money. This isn’t a one-time thing; I’ve been here probably a dozen times, and the service REALLYISTHATBAD at least half the time.

I have found my new favorite greasy spoon: Dempsey’s Breakfast & Lunch! I came here with my husband around 9:30 am on a hot Saturday morning. Although you never know what you’re going to get in a small diner in terms of air conditioning, I am pleased to report the AC was pumping and it was quite comfortable. Also, I was psyched to see it wasn’t super crowded and we could get seated in a roomy booth right away. Our waitress was friendly and accomodating; we told her although we live in down the street it was our first time here. She chatted with us about Everett and definitely made us feel welcome. Décor and finishes were old looking(the restaurant has been around awhile) but the whole place(including the open kitchen behind the counter) was really clean. We ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, home fries, and toast — nothing crazy, but everything was quite tasty. Generous portions without being excessive. I was nervous when I saw my ham looked like a slightly thicker deli slice, but heck, it was good so who cares? Next time I am feeling more indulgent, I will try their Reese’s peanut butter cup pancakes or Oreo pancakes, or maybe their fruit French toast with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and kiwi! They also have a variety of flavors of iced coffees if you’re into that — my husband had one during breakfast and one for the road. Cost for two breakfasts and two coffees was less than $ 15 — really great. One drawback is they do not accept credit cards, but there’s a Bank of America across the street in case you didn’t bring cash like us. Also, they use an app you can download on your phone for free(I forget what its called) and you can pay via your smartphone instead. They are known for their large assortment of muffins that they bake fresh every morning. The muffins are huge and they have some unique flavors like red velvet and double chocolate. Since muffins are my second favorite food, I took a cinnamon chip to go and ate it later that night — delicious! So moist and yummy. Would definitely pick up a half dozen next time I am hosting guests or throwing a brunch gathering. Very happy with my experience — I think this will become a regular spot for us!
