Often Lowes doesn’t carry some items I need for my classy older houses. I often can find special stuff at Martin Lumber: Like corner metal pieces for beveled siding; or specialty wood trim. Martins has good prices on bulk nails. In general their prices match Lowes. They will special cut/​shape wood, where Lowes only can cut length/​width of plywood.
If you have a classy older house, you may be happily surprised to find Martin Lumber carries what you need.

it is a hardware store, I understand that. What you get when you walk into this hardware store is personal customer service that you just dont get at the shopping mall hardware stores like The Home Depot and Lowes. I found what i needed, i find what i need, and i dont mind paying a bit more for the product as there is always someone there to help me.
What i dislike… the fact i cant afford to have them redo my floors in brand new yummy zebrawood. thats more on me though :)
if there is a hardware related issue you are having and you need help with planning, interesting part to replace something broken, give these guys a try. you will not walk around the store aimlessly wishing there was someone who will help you, Martins take care of you
