I used to work for subway. I know how it works. I still eat here and I still enjoy it. But I came in today and was waiting in line, and this guy who had ton of bracelets on(which is kind of gross but that’s not what bugged me), was handling money and change, and didn’t bother washing his hands before making another sandwich. Money is nasty and the fact of the matter is I don’t want whatever bacteria is on that money, on my food. so I took my money elsewhere. Not to mention, this guy was taking his sweet time while there was a line. It wasn’t busy in the mall either.

Not all of the subways are participating in the JanuANY deal where all foot-long subs are $ 5. But this one does! Yay! Service was quick as expected and it was located in the food court of the mall.

Convenient, reasonably priced, and easy. My new definition of whether you qualify to be considered a town anymore must be whether you have a Subway or not. Driving cross country I found every little watering hole of a town had at least a gas station Subway in it. They make McDonalds look to be a small operation these days. All kidding aside Subway makes a decent sub for a decent price, especially if one you like is on the $ 5 list. Some stores are more stingy than others about which sandwiches are on the list which is annoying but that is their choice. Subway’s plus factors are that you see it made, just how you want it. The veggies are generally very fresh, and the meats are decent but nothing special. While they make a big deal about their«fresh» bread I find most of them to be spongy reformed Wonder Bread. The new flat bread option is an improvement and I have started ordering that lately. It sure would be nice if they served a really good authentic Italian or French bread with a crust though. Truth be known, I grew up on Wonder bread so I do not mind it too much when I am in a rush and don’t want to eat a burger. The BMT, Spicy Italian, and Tuna get most of my orders and their tuna I actually find to be quite good. Another plus is now in some Subway’s you can get spinach instead of lettuce which I love. The sheer convenience of Subway, decent price, and general cleanliness of their stores means they get a lot of my business even if they are far from my favorite sub shop.
