I wish I lived closer to DaKind Soups, but it’s always such a nice treat when I go there. They never fail to surpass my expectations … now how is that possible since I’ve come to expect excellence? What I love about this place the most is that they have so many fresh soup options that they’re bound to have a couple of choices for whatever type of eater you are. I have been all over the omnivore’s spectrum in the past several years, currently on the veg*an end of the spectrum, and still just as satisfied as ever with what DaKind has to offer me. Lots of meaty choices too, not just veg-friendly. Even the Paleo crowd has options! Their soups are legit, their Reuben is awesome if you’re into Reubens, and the paper straws for the beverages are nice to see. Today I was made aware of the«doggy grilled cheese» and my best fur friend became a solid fan of this place too. Beyond their delicious food and fresh-brewed iced tea, their SERVICE is always phenomenal and makes me want to be friends with the staff! Yes, all of them! Friendly, patient, knowledgeable, funny, authentic, good people! I’ve had enough jobs to believe that the key to happy employees is quality ownership and management. So without knowing the owners or managers, I can say with confidence that They’re Doing It Right. Can’t wait to come again and try more fantastic soups!

Three and a half stars. Imaginative soups, that is for certain. Some really unique, interesting flavors and combos. Generally I wish the soups were a little heartier. Most of them are very, very thin – a watery/milky consistency. Still, overall, very tasty for the most part. They close at 7, so that is a fact to remember. I do miss the older crew, too. They were all pretty nice. The new crew(one gal in particular) not as much… One night I got there at 6:52(yes, I know, close to closing – but it’s ladling soup, for pete’s sake!) My husband was meeting me with my son, and we knew we were taking it to go. He was just a minute or so behind me. The girl at the counter was like«the grill closes at 7!»(the guy was already cleaning it.) I said«That’s fine, we are just getting soup to go.» My husband and son walked in a minute later. She repeated the time cut-off very nastily, like we were imposing on her. I had already told her we were just getting soup, so why the repeat? And, also, if you don’t want to serve up till 7, then close earlier! Put a sign on the door: NOORDERSAFTER6:45! I was tempted to order a grilled sandwich just because(technically) I had five minutes left and she pissed me off. We were out the door by 6:58(and, btw, there were other customers still eating in there, and a couple who came in after us.) I think I raised my bag and mentioned the time while exiting, but maybe I just wanted to…

Great soups that taste like home made. It’s perfect if you have a kid who’s a picky eater, cause they let you try a bunch of different soups before you decide which one to get. The staff are super nice and friendly. A great stop on a cold winter day.

Evergreen, Colorado– Souper calafragalisticexpeala delicious! Oh man! These soups, sandwiches, and salads are stellar. They’re on point with fresh ingredients, creative combinations, and fantastic flavor. Upon first look you might think, «gee, is this an old gas station?» And ya it probably was but take a step inside and you’ll be on surprise overload. The clean, modern, and brightly colored interior with ladles hung along the wall will bring a smile to your face as you realize you’ve made the right decision. Oh ya. Onward. As you wait in line peruse the small local area where jams, jellies, spreads, and salsas are on display and for sale. Localism. I dig it. You’ll also find a fridge of soups in a bag which obviously you’ll want to come back to. Check the continually changing menu for ideas and sample any soup. In fact, make a sample cup conga line with every flavor if you’re really feeling like a souper adventurer. Make your selections(and you’ll probably find it hard to narrow it down so this is when you go back to the fridge for an add-on to enjoy later at home), score a seat, and enjoy. My faves are the tomato and the portobello. You can’t go wrong with the spinach salad with hearts of palm as a side. Next up, I’m trying the red pepper tomato. Da kind is kind to my tastebuds.

Great food and excellent staff. Love the variety of soups and sandwiches. This is one of our regular stops for lunch or dinner and definitely some of the best food in Evergreen. They have a rotating menu of daily soups and we always find a new favorite. Really like the rueben and a cup of chili or soup. They have lots of options for those on a gluten free diet, plus several items for vegetarians. Thanks! Keep up the great work.

Awesome for a quick lunch spot. The soups are a little more than you expect, but they make up for the price in flavor. We went in and sampled about 6 or 7 different soups before we each ordered. This place has a quick service restaurant vibe but still is a worthwhile stop for a fast and delicious meal.

Delicious. Fast(because the soup is hot and ready). Love the emails and web updates with soups each day. Always great gluten– and/or dairy-free options, labeled. Would love some GF bread :-) to go with it!

Can’t speak enough greatness on this place, they just wanted my party and myself to enjoy what they had to offer us and what they had to offer was more than enough for everyone in our party. The soups were amazing — I had the split pea and I have to say it gave my momma a run for her money — the sandwiches where simply great and easy. Its a strange thing in this day in age to actually want to tip a person in the service industry — considering my minimart/gas station has a tip jar — and I wanted to but they did not accept my wants… that was the only bad part of my visit. GREATGREATGREAT!!!

Four stars for tasty food, enthusiastic employees, and clean restaurant and bathrooms, and for letting patrons sample the soup. can’t give it five stars because my husband ordered a pastrami Reuben and when it was delivered to the table in the paper wrap, my husband open the wrapper and at the same time he lifted the bread and realized it wasn’t his sandwich, the gentleman who originally delivered it to our table came and notified us that he had delivered the wrong sandwich. We watched him as he took it to the back, changed out the paper and brought it to a different table. Mind you, my husband had touched the sandwich he lifted up both the bread and the meat with his fingers. I had A tuna salad. It came in a cardboard box the bottom layer was fresh spinach, second layer was chopped green olives and copious amounts of capers, third layer dry canned tuna and fourth layer was some tasteless green appearing sauce. The salad also boasted to fresh cherry tomatoes and one fingerling potato cut into four pieces. The salad tasted completely green olives and capers. If that’s your thing then wonderful. It was just not delicious to me. The tuna was dry because it was unprepared and there was no cheese or any salad dressing to speak of. I ended up squeezing a lemon on my salad. Their drink fountain area was extremely clean and had what appeared to be the world’s freshest lemons. Probably the most delicious and fresh I have ever seen at any fast food restaurant. The Decour is nothing really to speak of, wooden tables and brick wall with spoons, I have to say though, the employees were all very friendly and seemed to be enthusiastic about their soups. My husband said his sandwich was good and the pastrami was not fatty. He commented that the coleslaw was bland. I would go back because of the fresh ingredients and the clean restroom and the enthusiastic employees. I would not order that salad ever again though.

As always, amazing! They’ve switched up their soups and I got to try an incredibly amazing zucchini soup with a fig glaze! Fabulously decadently cheesy tuna melt! And my husband had switched up his favorite and promises to get the pork green chili from here on out!

I would eat this soup on the hottest Summer day! Imagine a quiet soup joint off the main drag. You walk in to see 14 different soups ready for you to sample. After trying the curry carrot, classic tomato, and pork green chili, you settle for the rosemary leek with a tuna melt on the side. The first sips of soup rock your world as you wait for your sandwich off the griddle. When it arrives, your mind explodes again from the gooey choose and tuna flavors. If you’re ever in Evergreen, you have to check this place out.

My wife and I took a day trip to Evergreen and found this little gem. The customer service was great. They were very friendly and offered samples. There were a lot of great soups to choose from. I ended up with the Lobster Bisque. EXCELLENT!!! Definitely in my top 3! I paired the bisque with a grilled cheese, nicely toasted(could of used a little more cheese). I would highly recommend!

Really tasty fresh soup and sandwiches. I had the chicken chili. Its very hearty and just the right amount of salt. The atmosphere is very casual. A wee bit pricy for soup and sandwiches, but justifiable given the freshness of the ingredients and the wonderfully crafted recipes.

Absolutely delicious choices served by very lovely ladies. My grilled pastrami was excellent! Soups… try ‘em… you’ll find one you adore… or 3. Chili. very good… spicy…tomatoey…hearty. I also got some kind of berry juice lemonade… it tasted like eating a pint of blueberries strawberries and raspberries. Get it if you’re a berry fan! Basically, unless something goes tragically wrong, you won’t be disappointed.

While enjoying a nice drive through Morrison and on into Evergreen, we were on a mission to take in the beautiful Sunday and actually be in the outdoors that this beautiful state has to offer. But not without scarfing down a ton of food first. Because a strenuous hike is no fun on an empty stomach, we searched this good ol’ app called Unilocal(you might have heard of it) for the best, fast eateries in Evergreen, and behold Da Kind caught our hungry attention. Not knowing much other than the fast casual café offering sandwiches, we took a chance. And I am so happy we did. Da Kind is Da bomb. I apologize for the cheesiness, but a place that reads my min and knows exactly how I like a salad packed full of ingredients like, capers, artichoke hearts, roasted turkey, hearts of palm, feta, roasted veggies, and more — I can’t contain my cheesy excitement. I mean this salad was loaded. They have a plethora of soups that they are happy for you to sample as the options can be overwhelming. I tried the chipotle soup and it was spicy… in a very good way, however I was in the mood for something a little more mild and went for the split pea soup, and damn! It was so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Growing up, our split pea always had a little more substance to it and wasn’t just creamed peas. This split pea definitely had the chunks of goodness and came in as a very close second to my mom’s. Good thing their portions are so generous to fill us up for a long hike ahead of us, I just wished Da Kind was in Denver. Their soups are all made from scratch and rotate daily. If you’re ever in or around Evergreen, I highly recommend DA Kind.

Paper straws. Great jams playing. Spicy green chili. Fresh brewed iced tea with lemon. Friendly staff. Pastrami ruben sammich. Quick service. All delicious. The sandwich was hot, cheesy and grilled to crispy perfection. The green chili was spicy and filled with pork. It was thick and hearty. The iced tea was wonderful. The dining room was spotless clean with wooden décor. I have found the best place to eat in Evergreen, Colorado. Give it a try. You’ll be super glad you did.

This is the kind of place that makes me say«Why isn’t there one in my town?» Oh right, there is, it’s called«Panera Bread» and instead of being run by locals it’s a crappy chain. Anyway… Our spinach salad was huge and filled with blueberries and blue cheese and it was $ 4. Oh and it was half sized. The pastrami was great, the soups were excellent, and the staff was very happy and helpful. The kids Mac n cheese portions were a bit small(for a 9 and 7-year-old) so we ordered a half grilled cheese to supplement their meals. The meals did come with juice or Horizon boxed milk so even at $ 4.25 they were a decent value. To take a trip to Evergreen and have this place to stop at for lunch is wonderful.
