Subway

The place was dirty. You could tell they had gotten run over from their lunch crowd. They were beyond short staffed. The young woman behind the line was amazing, and you could tell she was carrying the shift. Usually when I walk in to a store like this, I leave. Oddly, I stayed. My son and I enjoyed our meal. I’ll stay all day, every day, in a place with such amazing help that is trying so hard. I’ll be back. Trust that. Good on your girl for having patience and kindness shown by so few in our world. To whomever owns this establishment: Rarely will you find a diamond like her. Praise her. Raise her. Make her dreams come true. Hard work and kindness are hard to find. She’ll do right by you. Do right by her.
I’m a tough sell. My patience is thin. With a wink and a nod, this girl had me.

I received a promotional email from Subway advertising their $ 3 Breakfast Combo (certain egg sandwiches and a drink before 11am). I also saw the same offer on TV. I walked into this Subway and asked for the $ 3 Breakfast Combo. I was told they did not have it. I checked the Subway website after I got home and the promotion was still active. In all fairness, the offer does say «price and participation may vary». So while they were in their right not to participate, but they still had one disappointed customer. Since I live between the two Subway’s in Evergreen In the future I will go to the other Subway (in Wal-Mart).The prices are also more expensive at this Subway (a salad is a $ 1 more).
As far as the food goes, it was typical. It was breakfast time. My wife and I got egg sandwiches and the egg could have been hotter, it was just luke warm. My son had a meatball sandwich which was very good and hot. The quantity of vegetables were a little skimpy on the egg sandwiches.
Subway always has multiple promotions and I’ll go to the one that always participates. This store did have some of the promotions such as the $ 4 lunch.

I am generally OK with Subway and value. Some are pretty bad and poorly run. This one was great. Clean (behind the counter and on the floor), fresh veggies, very nice staff. Sandwiches were great.
There was a long line, it moved quick, and employees cared. If their oven would have been working, a 5 star rating would be here. I have only seen one other Subway this clean.
