Love everything about this place: the views, breeze, food, drinks, staff, and owners. I can’t tell which I like more, a round on the course or dinner afterwards!

1 Star for food, but 2 stars because it is a great place. do NOT go there and eat. Period. It sucks. We sent back two ribeyes and lamb chops — almost everything we ordered because the meat was the worst quality ever. It was like meat on sale at safeway after it didn’t sell for a week or more… it was horrible AND $ 30!!! It wasn’t worth $ 5! My wife threw up after one bite of the lamb chops, which were a pile of FAT. the drinks and location are awesome and I’ll go there for drinks, but even the burger is terrible meat… nothing is quality anymore… sucks because it is such as great location and building… been going there for almost 20 years… won’t eat there again.

Keys is one of my favorite places to meet a friend for drinks or a meal. I go about 2 times a month. The location is beautiful and the interior is pure Evergreen. I like that it is not noisy and discussions can be had. The menu is varied and there are less expensive choices as well as pricier items. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Last month, I was on a highly restrictive diet and our server went out of her way to make sure my dinner was compliant. I am on my way there now to meet a friend. I noticed that there were not any recent reviews, so I’m adding mine.

This is a 2 star restaurant, but it gets 3 stars since it is at a golf course. Food was luke warm and a little greasy, sausage was mushy. The good news is that the coffee was good and the view was spectacular. Fun watching people tee off.

My husband and I love visiting Evergreen so I thought it was a no-brainer to pick a restaurant up there to celebrate his 50th birthday. I chose Keys on the Green and honestly I should have read Unilocal reviews before making a reservation. The food was OK but what we experienced in the first 25 minutes we were there was enough to ruin the entire evening for us. I made a reservation for 6PM so we could see the elk out on the golf course… which we were able to do. There was one other table already seated when we arrived and of course the patio was packed. We were seated in the dining area to the left of the main dining hall back in the corner. We were right next to the only other occupied table in the restaurant and we didn’t have a real great view of the golf course so we asked to move one table over which the hostess agreed to. A few minutes later we heard our waitress scolding the hostess for letting us move tables. It was as if they didn’t think we could hear them even though we were maybe 8 feet from the hostess stand. Mind you during this period of time she had yet to come over to our table to greet us. Another girl came over and plopped two glasses of water on our table didn’t say much more then confirming we were a party of two. The server continue to scold the hostess and complain to other servers that she moved us and it just made us unbelievably uncomfortable especially since we truly were two of four people in the indoor part of the restaurant. When she finally came over to greet us and take our order we found her to be a pleasant individual and she provided very good service however, as I said before, the first 20 to 25 minutes kind of ruined it for us. Our food was not anything spectacular but I did appreciate the flourless chocolate cake they brought for my husband’s birthday. This restaurant has an opportunity to take advantage of being one of very few fine dining establishments in the Evergreen area however they do not recognize the opportunity and sadly will not thrive long term in my opinion. I would reserve visiting this restaurant in the future for post-golf beers and nothing more.

Food was underwhelming, overpriced and service was abysmal. We had a group of 9(mandatory 20% gratuity) and our server showed she cared zero. Will never return. Extremely disappointed.

Pretty overpriced, but you’re eating on a golf course next to Evergreen Lake and the restaurant is one of the closest places to eat for the rich folks on upper bear creek. So I guess the cost is expected. Service was decent and I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt because we ordered 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. $ 230 for 1 appetizer 3 salads 3 drinks 4 entrees and tip. Just my opinion, but you can get equal quality food other places in Evergreen and certainly have nicer dinners for the same price in downtown Denver.

Terrible service. It took 25 mins for a wait person to come to our table. We left. Great location, we live in Evergreen, won’t be returning.

One of our favorite restaurants in Evergreen and my favorite brunch spot around; grab a seat on the patio on a sunny day, you’ll fall in love with this place as I did. Super friendly staff and very personable owner, Craig. It is a bit pricy, but fabulous food, Incredible view and charming mountain atmosphere… We don’t go out everyday, so we are okay with paying for good food and services. This place can be casual or former. Simple appetizers to burger or sandwich for lunch with cold beer, or full blown dinner menu with pretty darn good selection of wines. We love this place!

It seems like there may be some new consistency issues popping up at Keys. The service is still as amazing but the food is not as consistently good as before. The menu needs a facelift but none of that is likely to happen during 5280 week. I’d love to have another update in a week or so to let you know that things are improved and back on track. I’m crossing my fingers!!! In the mean time, stick with the basics, hang out have a beer, burger & wings. Those are always good and you will leave smiling!

Great food, pricey though. The salad I had ended up being $ 15, because I added chicken, ok fine. When I got it however it was ½ of a chicken breast at most. But, it was very fresh and the lemon vinaigrette was homemade and excellent. The fresh dip sandwich could’ve had a little more meat, but it was flavorful and the baguette it was on was good.

The food alone would get 3.5−4 stars, the scenery is stunning and would get 5 stars, but the staff bring this place down. Without fail, every time my husband and I eat here we always seem to leave a bit miffed. It seems like we always have to fight to sit on the patio. We’ve been told twice that we have to order food(which was our intention) to sit out there, and also told there was no available seating when there were multiple open tables and servers standing around! Wtf! It probably wouldn’t be a big deal if they could message these things a bit differently. I’m so annoyed with this place I would support a movement to buy this place out.

I love the location and the historic building. The service was excellent. The ambiance was great. The only thing I had to eat that day was a bowl of Green Chili at lunch. The following day I had very bad diarrhea. Again, I did not eat anything other than the green chili.

I went there again with family from out of town. I love the building and the scenery. That being said, it gets two stars from me for the following reasons. The meals are expensive. Hamburgers start at $ 12 and the entrees top out at $ 32 or so. A basic pasta dish with no meat is $ 19. For those prices I expect a dinner salad to come with it. Instead it’s $ 8 and up for salad. There were bread plates but they never brought fresh baked bread to the table. They should have pepper grinders on the table or at least offer fresh ground pepper. The tiny shaker they had had so much powered pepper from the bottom of a cheap can of pepper and the holes were so small the pepper didn’t want to come out. This is a pet peeve and unacceptable from a restaurant of this caliber. We had to ask twice for a second beverage and ask three times from 3 different people for the bill. It took 15 minutes to get it. The place was maybe ¾ full and service was slow. Always looking for our guy. He was nice and friendly and when we pointed out that the chicken ordered with the pasta wasn’t in the pasta and that we had asked two other people for the bill he took the bill and made an adjustment that turned my opinion of the place around. They still get two stars for the reasons mentioned above but I left happy and not angry so it’s a wash I suppose. As for the food, it was decent but for $ 29 my girlfriend cooks a ribeye that is equal. They have a few menu items that are unique but overall I don’t think the prices are justified.

My parents like to go to this place on Mondays for their six dollar burger nights. These meals are barely worth six dollars. The meat quality is poor and full of fat. As well, the service is always awful. The servers aren’t rude(they’re not necessarily pleasant either) they’re just bad servers. Last night, though it was St. Patrick’s Day, they were no more busy than they usually are on Monday nights. As usual, they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. After being seated, nobody came to our table for 10 minutes. Finally a girl came by to drop off some waters and bailed without a single word. A couple minutes later a server finally came to get a drink order. No apology, no greeting, nothing. I let her know I had been ready for a while b/c I wanted to order a Guinness and they require a longer pour. Less than 2 minutes later, she was back with a badly poured Guinness. It looked & tasted awful.(Btw…they ran out of at 6:30 on st. Patricks day… great planning). I can’t imagine paying for one of their regular entrees and receiving the same level service. Generally, they come to take your order, bring you your food, and don’t check on you for the rest of the night. I’m sure my parents will continue to go there, but I’ve had enough. Wifi… They have it, but nobody could give me the password so I’m saying no on that.

First visit to Keys, and we were impressed! The service was attentive without being invasive. The food was very good, and the menu had a variety of price points and a great selection. I really like the ambiance and feel of the structure. I don’t know when it was constructed, but it has the feel of the great lodges of the 1930’s. This is my favorite restaurant in the Evergreen area!

Keys on the Green has recently been reopened under new management and what a positive difference! The reasonably-priced menu has some of the previous favorites but there are also daily specials. I recommend the prime rib and the walleye(not many places you can get walleye in Colorado). One of the owners, Craig, makes it a point to come around to every table and visit with patrons. Keys is a great place to go in the winter because the old Evergreen cabin-y ambience is unlike any other place in town. The fireplace in the center is great. We love to take out-of-town guests there, especially when it’s decorated for the holidays. But it’s also a great place to go when the weather is nice and you can sit on the outdoor patio or deck and watch the golfers teeing off. I recommend reservations for dinner because it’s always busy.

Really delicious food! Great view of the golf course. The restaurant is like an old log cabin from the 1800s. Very cozy and rustic. Nicely renovated by the new owners.

Keys on the Green doubles as the house restaurant at Evergreen’s municipal golf course, and a great little mountain town restaurant, with an overflow of charm and rugged ambiance. The old log cabin style building houses a wonderful old double sided stone fireplace, which is the centerpiece of the restaurant. The menu is reasonably diverse, and a good value for how unique and rustic the setting. Also, a damn good bloody mary…
