O Salon and Day Spa

Donna is the best. I walked in about five days ahead since I wasn’t sure exactly what I was looking for, but Donna helped me figure out what would suit me best for the look I was going for!
I scheduled an appointment for Monday (²⁄₂) to get a partial dye (in pink, what else?) and Donna was not only straight-​forward when it comes to what I should expect for color fading and whatnot, but she also worked with my not-​so-​spectacular college girl budget and massive amount of hair. I walked out with the prettiest blend of pinky-​purple hair layered under my natural hair color.
The establishment is clean and stylish, all the ladies there are charming, and Donna really took care of me from hilarious stories, constant checking to make sure I wasn’t dying of thirst or anything, not to mention the head massage she gave was amazing.
Now I didn’t do anything other than hair-​color this time, but judging by other reviews I may have to go back to try a hair cut or the likes. Maybe for once I can find a hair cut that «works» with my now-​colorful head!

I could just rave about Donna all day long! I already was loving my highlights and yesterday decided to go for a change. I brought in some pictures and Donna and the girls seemed just excited as me to try it out. Time flies in her chair because we can chat the entire time. I didn’t get a cut yesterday, but have had Kazeon cut it before and I love her work too! Prices are reasonable, it’s your hair you look at it everyday! Not something you necessarily need to go cheap on. It’s the quality, comfort and expertise that’s included!

Donna and Kazeon are phenomenal hair stylists and fun people to be around! I highly recommend this spa for all pampering needs

I usually smile when I take a selfie, but today I was mesmerized by my hair!!! Donna, you did a FABULOUS job with my hair. I am so happy I finally found a stylist I can trust. It only took me a little over a year to find the right one. I am so excited to do bayalage with you. I know you’ll do an amazing job. Thank you for taking care of me and my mom, along with helping my son get stuff from the car!!! Wow!!! You got me at hello, can I get you water? Lol!

Donna and Kazeon are both amazing and kind. They are quick to recommend options for you if they don’t think something will look amazing on your head. They are friend and this little gem in Ewa Beach really does amazing work. Donna colored my hair and Kazeon cut it.
I’ve been looking for a place to cut these curls on this island for a while and I’m glad I went with them. I really wish I could give this place a 10 because they are just that good. I’ll be returning for another cut and color. It’s not over priced here and well worth the price they do charge. Do yourself a favor and just head over here already!

I LOVE this salon. I can’t say enough fabulous things. Donna is amazing with color and cuts and Kazeon is amazing with cuts as well. These ladies are very talented and I don’t let anyone else on the island touch my hair lol. They remember you even after months of not seeing them. Love love love, million stars!!!

Kazeon is fabulous! I will definitely be back. She did a great job with cutting my hair. Listened to what I wanted and got it perfect!

Kazeon is amazing! My hair was waist long and I asked for a cute bob with a slight a-​line look and she delivered exactly what I asked for! She listens to you and makes sure that I’m comfortable with the length before she goes on further.

Had a great experience. Felt like family. Took my mother in law to get her first salon haircut. Kazeon did an amazing job! I also got a French polish done, (ack, don’t know the lady’s name but she was lovely) that was super nice as well. We will be back. We found our spot!

I love this place! Been coming here for about 7 years now and Donna and her staff never fails to amaze me! I came in on a Monday and wanted to try something new with my hair — balayage highlights. I showed Donna a picture of something I wanted and the final product was amazing and way better than the picture! I highly recommend this salon. The ambiance, service, and staff here is truly phenomenal!

I want to let everyone know for me being a first time. I was extremely scared and Donna and kazeon took amazing care of me and my hair. We started off by going through a few pictures of what I want and what I was looking for. My hair is long and I wanted to keep it long my haircut is perfect we added some layer and volume the color is amazing exactly what I wanted and they were so friendly we had good girl time. They made me feel right at home and I felt like it was worth every penny thank you so much ladies it’s amazing and I will be back. I’m a newbie on Oahu, so searching for new services, restaurants, and fun things to do on Unilocal has become a daily ritual. There is definitely something unique about the Unilocal users on the island… they are passionate about their reviews and the business owners are just as passionate and take every review seriously. It’s scary and a bit intimidating to look for a new hair stylist. We are loyal to the person who cuts, styles and colors our hair. After all they know more about us then some of our closest friends and family members.
So about 2 months ago I started by search for a new hair stylist. I read the reviews and comments from both the customers as well as the business owner on O Salon and Day Spa. I called to make an appointment but instead I got their voicemail… I almost didn’t leave a message and was going to move on to the next one. I’m so grateful I did leave a message. I received call back, made an appointment for the following week. The moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The energy in the salon is calm, cool and fun! Donna and Kazeon are A-​A-​AMAZING!
I was feeling like I wanted something new and different. I wanted fun but easy to manage. Donna listened and I trusted! My first visit we did low lights to my blonde hair and she shortened my long hair to a long bob just below my shoulders. Donna, Kazeon and I talked about some of the new hair color trends and styles and I thought it was time to stretch a bit and play a little. After all it’s just hair and it’ll grow back! So I came back in a couple of weeks later and Donna added a few strands of pink and purple highlights. My family and friends loved it! Well, 2 days ago I went back in to cover those grays that seem to show their true self every few of weeks. I told Donna I wanted more. I wanted a shorter bob and more lavender! OMG! Donna literally ROCKED my world! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Did I say I LOVE my hair and I absolutely LOVE Donna!
I also want to give Kazeon a shout out! She has amazing talent as well! I watch her from Donna’s chair and not only is she engaging but she knows how to cut, color, style hair beautifully! This small salon is ginormous in talent! Love these girls!

1^st time getting a Brazilian wax from esthetician, Janalyn and she was awesome! Comforting and personable but yet very professional. Higly recommend her.

Although, most people get massages for special occasions or to treat themselves, I only resort to professional massages when I am in pain. Usually, it’s because the thought of a stranger (even a professional) touching me gives me a little bit of the creeps. Having said THAT, I CANNOT recommend O Salon and Day Spa enough!
I made a last minute, same day appointment and I was met with several smiling faces. I chose this Spa because it was only one block away from my house and though it seems to be very small based on it’s location in a strip mall, looks are clearly deceiving.
Candy took fantastic care of me and made me feel at ease right away. They were having a $ 10 off special on their massages, which was an immediate bonus. She took me to a room which had a very soothing atmosphere, though it was small. There was soothing music playing with appropriate lighting. I had very back knots in my neck and in both shoulders. She did a full body massage but came back to the knots to try and ease my pain. I immediately felt my pain ease but it did not rid me of it completely. She spent an extra 15 minutes on me out of kindness or pity (hard to tell) but it was much appreciated.
One of the added side benefits was I felt my sciatica go away as a result of the massage!
Things you won’t like: Cramped Entry and you can hear what is happening in the front area from the massage room.
Things you will like: Cool temperature, soothing music, great customer service!
Convenience and Services considered: I give it 5 stars all the way!

Love love LOVE this salon. I had been contemplating dying my hair red (and I mean bright RED!) for a couple of years, but considering the magnitude of this color change, I waited until I could find someone that made me feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. Donna and Kazeon made me feel at ease being so friendly yet professional, and I was clear that they knew what they were doing. Donna even dyed my hair extensions for me, and then, being a newbie with extensions, Kazeon showed me how to put them in. All of this combined with the clean, comfortable, and cozy atmosphere of the salon itself really impressed me. I have been back a couple of time since for a color touch-​up and deep conditioning treatment, and will definitely continue to go to O Salon in the future! Thank You again Donna and Kazeon! You are amazing at what you do!

Loved my first experience around this time last year with Donna and Kazeon! Very attentive and I even convinced my husband to start getting his hair cut here! Came back a few months ago for some curls on my birthday. I will be back soon, as summer calls for lighter color and shorter hair! :)

Aloha! I’ve been going to O Salon a little over 2 years now, and it has BY FAR been the best salon service I have received on island. Donna’s services are reasonably priced and below what other’s charge around the island. For example… I can get a highlight/​lowlight, cut, shampoo, style, and brow wax for around $ 150. She is punctual, and extremely professional. Most of all, she is very personable, as is ALL of her staff. She takes time to get to know you as her customer and remembers you when you return. She wants the best for you and your style. I am moving soon and sad to have to leave my favorite stylist. I HIGHLY recommend Donna to you. She is an amazing small business owner, and works hard to please/​accomodate ALL of her customers. Thank you Donna! Please do yourself a favor and GO SEE THEM at O Salon in Ewa!

I’ve been going to O Salon for 3 years now, so this review is long overdue. When I first moved to Hawaii I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find anyone who could keep up with my bleach blonde hair without turning it orange or creating rings when touching up my roots. I’ve had my hair destroyed more than several times in the past, going to the salon is almost always a disaster. Not at O Salon! Kazeon has been a rock star since day one and I could never trust anyone else with my hair! She trims it at just the right length, styles it perfectly when I ask and tones it to the exact shade of blonde that I request. They are efficient, professional and super friendly. A+++!

Donna gave me a cut and color, and I love it! She is professional, warm, and a good listener.
I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing that she knew what she was doing.
I would highly recommend her, and I’ll definateky be back.

My friend and I called to see if they had any availabilities that day and they were super nice about letting us come in that afternoon, about an hour after we had called.
Kazeon is super nice and such an awesome person, very pleasant and amusing to be around. For only 23 years young, she’s also skilled at her job! She was able to balance styling both my friend and I at the same time and our hair came out looking fabulous.
