The price was great, but the bagel was way below average. There was no differentiation between the crust and the meat of the bagel. Just tasted like decent bread, but without any zest from a firm to crunchy crust, nor air pockets within to make the innards light and airy. Clearly, RJ’s has lost the recipe and won’t admit it. I appreciated the extra cheese in the sandwich and the coffee club pricing that brought my breakfast in at a skinny $ 3. But, still, if it doesn’t provide the bagel experience, what am I paying for? New York Bagel around the corner on Parkway is a much better bagel option.

My coworkers and I(we work at a nearby insurance company in Ewing) decided to order lunch today from RJs, which we do once in a while, due to the bad weather and because there was nothing good in the cafeteria. We also order breakfast at least once a week from RJs. We spent $ 70 on our lunch order. A coworker and I each ordered a ½ Italian sub. For $ 6.95 the sub was very small. The bread or sub role was hard, stale and was flat as if the insides had been removed. There was very little meat on both our subs. On one sub they forgot the lettuce and one the other it was missing the tomato. We asked for oil and vinegar on the side and instead of giving is one container of oil and one of vinegar they gave us both in one container which was unusable. Another coworker ordered a basic grilled cheese sandwich, which was cold and very mushy/soft. A few of the other hot orders were also cold. Ever since they expanded, RJs quality has been going down. The Hazelnut coffee which used to be great is watered down. On another occasion I ordered a whole Italian sub and ended up throwing it away because the ham was slimy and smelled. When I told one of the workers a few days later when I went for coffee they never even said sorry or offered me a free sub We spend allot of money at RJs and that’s only our small group. You can say that we may not be going back here if the quality of food doesn’t improve.

Small misshapen bagels and dirty sticky tables. The inside looks like it was slapped together from sale items at Home Depot. The food is good but you only come here because there’s no other real alternative.

Good bagels, mediocre everything else. I’ve ordered delivery a few tikes and its always kind of cold and unappealing. Won’t be back for anything but bagels.

Pretty good bagels, breakfast wraps and not half bad coffee. The local law enforcement goes there as does many others so if you notice that’s one of the busier places in the area, you can bet it’s pretty good. Best for takeout.

Being new to the area I am on a search for a good hangover recovery place and stumbled onto RJ’s ANDDDD my search continues… I called in my taylor ham, egg, cheese on an everything bagel, 5 mins before getting here to avoid being late to work. I got there and still had to wait 10 mins, which I was actually surprised about considering it was 8 am and there was only 1 person in front of me. I paid their reasonable $ 3.50 for the sandwich and jetted to work to find out that my bagel was not toasted, the taylor ham was barely cooked and the eggs were definitely fake powder eggs. Needless to say I threw out half the sandwich. To make matters worse they don’t use heinz ketchup packets! Instead some random knockoff. :drops mic: Sorry RJ’s., it’s not you, it’s me.

Rj’s Bagels is the best sandwich place in town! I order at least once a week! I have never had anything I didn’t like! I get breakfast delivered right to my door! 2 eggs over medium with toast homefries and pork roll! Perfect eggs ever time! Love the turkey club and jersey burger! Better cheese steaks than you can get in Philly! You can’t go wrong at Rj’s!

Good food, but the help is surly and the place always looks dirty. Perhaps when they complete the move into the new space they will make more of an effort to keep the place looking cleaner.

I love RJ’s Bagels for a breakfast sandwich and hash brown. The employees are friendly and are pretty fast with orders when it’s busy. They have a great selection on their menu and would recommend to anyone.

I consider myself quite the breakfast sandwich connoisseur, and I LOVE RJs. They make the most gigantic, delicious sandwiches around, and offer turkey meat selections too.(I know, you’re thinking it’s like ordering a diet Coke with a Big Mac, my stomach can’t always handle regular bacon.) So good. No complaints.

In my continuing forage for all things carbohydrate-laden, I decided to order some breakfast from RJ this morning. I chose a tomato-basil bagel with cream cheese and sliced tomato. It was alright, but I was pretty disappointed with the bagelI really love a good, crusty bagel, with a crispy and chewy boiled exterior(you can really only get legit bagels like this in Jersey and New York; sorry, America!). This bagel was way too bready with no chew. I dont want to knock them just yet, as their menu is HUGE and they offer all kinds of breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and platters, as well as hot and cold sandwiches for lunch. Before I REALLY settle on a concrete rating, Im going to have to eat my way through more of the menu first. Darn ;) HOLDTHEPHONE: Later in the morning I sampled my friend’s marble bagel(pumpernickel and plain doughs, swirled together) with garlic and herb cream cheese and the bagel was PERFECT, as was the spread. The devil may actually be in the details; its quite possible I just ordered the wrong thing. My next order will be a More Appropriate bagel with flavored cream cheese, bacon, and tomato. I will write an update then. Stay tuned!

Went in for 2 dozen bagels for work on Saturday morning. Now being Saturday, you’d think that the bagels would be fresh being that the weekend is the busiest time. I got to work and EVERYBODY complained how hard and chewy they were. They were obviously from the day before. Bad way to do business!!!

The food is good, but not worth suffering the rude, arrogant frat-boy types who work behind the counter. News Flash! You work in a deli in Ewing, NJ. Get over yourselves!

I stopped here at 11 am on a Wednesday and it was packed with construction workers and high school students looking to satiate various cravings. Oddest order: blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese(can you guess if it was a student or a bricklayer?). The people are really friendly and they were doing a good job keeping up with the steady stream of regulars who were hovering around the counter. The huge menu is way up on a wall behind the counter, and the font is too small to read easily, so I just got one of the 5 specials of the day: roast pork sandwich with a side(I chose potato salad). The sandwich came with a slice of white American, lettuce, and tomato, on a fresh kaiser roll. It was really tasty – the pork wasn’t juicy but it wasn’t dry, either. It had a nice texture and mild flavor that reminded me of shredded pork sandwiches I’ve had in Virginia and North Carolina. The potato salad was really good. Not too mayonnaise-y, with bits of celery and a mixture of chunked and mashed potato. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I love going to this place for breakfast. Awesome egg sandwiches and cheap if you get the coupon in the mail(99 cents!)

Don’t let the name fool you, they are also a great deli for lunch. I drive up from Yardley for a half roast beef & provolone with everything, often once or twice a week. I probably pass up a dozen closer lunch places, but its totally worth it. Their rolls are soft, the meat seasoned and sliced just right. Area businesses must love them, because the phone is always ringing off the hook, the place is busy, and deliveries are flying out the door at lunchtime. 5 stars says all I can say.
