Loved the burgers, fries, & shakes here! The meat was fresh and there were lots of creative dipping sauce options for the fries. Everyone working here was super friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

I’ve been here a couple of times, and I wasn’t impressed with the food or the smoothies either time. Also, the place didn’t appear to be very clean to me. It needs a good sprucing up and cleaning up, and faster service.

Please don’t get rid of the Reubens!!! Love having the options of great tasting veggie foods! Not in love with the vegan cheese but the Juice Bar Rocks. Very friendly staff. They do get a little slow when they have an excess of customers at one time. Fun little place to eat!

We hold a monthly liberty meetup here and they take good care of us. The staff is friendly, they bring you your orders upstairs, and it’s always clean. I appreciate the range of options from full vegan to humane meat, as well as the creative dishes. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies. Glad this exists on the Seacoast.

GREAT burger place. I noticed all the bad reviews were bad because it’s not a good vegan restaurant. Not sure why they’re so upset it’s not a burger place is not 100% vegan; but for those of you who appreciate a good burger, this place ROCKS! Prices pretty good too. More expensive than McDonald’s, but less expensive than high-end burger joints. Love it here! The fries are delicious too!

We used to dine at this place regularly when it was Good Karma Café and were excited to return to try their new focus. We both had burgers(one veggie and one meat). Both were just ok. The veggie patty didn’t taste homemade, they were too sloppy and didn’t have very much flavor. The fries were good though. I miss the old Good Karma!

i’m a creature of habit, which helps when you want to compare something as almighty important as the evolution of a sandwich. thus, i, of course, ordered the reuben, vegan style, again. no longer is the reuben made with substandard, sub-apportioned seitan. instead, it is a veggie burger, served on a bun, with vegan dressing, sauerkraut and pickles. while the burger could have been crisped up a bit more, and the bun would have been better toasted, just for the sake of variety in texture, overall the sandwich was quite tasty. i also enjoyed a side of fries, which, while also delightful, would have benefitted from a bit more crunch. vanilla smoothie was delightful as well.

Wonderful find! So glad we didn’t settle for pizza! I had the Mexican Fiesta on quinoa and the spices were great. Husband loved his cheeseburger & fries. It takes talent to satisfy both a vegetarian and a carnivore!

Good Karma is really good when it comes to food. It’s healthy and different from ALL the other boring burger places downtown. It’s too bad it couldn’t be closer to downtown. My only problem is the online order app, it’s horrible! We can never get it to work! If they could change it my review would be 5 stars.

In a general search for lunch in the Exeter area, Good Karma Café caught our eyes immediately. I’m glad we went with our intuition! Menu is perfect, décor inside is perfect, kitchen was a little slow and seemed a bit disorganized. There was probably a little mix up with our order(I’m not sure I got exactly what I ordered), but what we ate was delicious and really hit the spot. Great positive energy in here!

Was disappointed that they added meat to the menu and changed up the Asian Fusion Bowl — it had been my favorite. It was pretty cold in the place, space heater was reading 61 degrees, and I thought it was pretty pricy as well, the food was good, but not as crazy good as it has been in the past. I was really disappointed in the changes. I might stop in if I were in the neighborhood but it wouldn’t be a destination for me as it had been in the past.

This place is horrible. Food is marginal at best and way over priced. Nothing was even warm. They forgot a burger on our order so we had to go back down and remind them. 50 dollars for 2 burgers and a rice bowl and some fries no drinks is ridic. It was also FREEZING in there and they told us it’s bc we don’t have what we just use space heaters. My nephew was freezing, none of the food was good, and it took forever but wasn’t even warm. Long story short– don’t eat here. If you want Delish food try Lexie’s for burgers or the kitchen for sandwiches/etc in Portsmouth nh.

Good Karma has redefined itself as a grill and has distanced itself from the vegan/juice bar stop it once was. Which, I have to admit, was an incredibly great move. I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life. Good Karma’s grass fed hamburger is delicious. Being from the west coast, I can attest that the hamburger I ate tonight was right on par with an In-n-Out burger. And yet, I knew the burger I was eating was also much better quality than any chain fast food joint you could go to. The fries on the side are also incredible. However they cooked them, they need to keep doing that. Lastly, I got to taste a little bit of their vanilla milkshakes, and my God was it the best milkshake I’ve ever had. Hell I’d even go there again just for a milkshake. Highly recommend being adventurous with the flavors you get. Exeter seriously lacked a good burger joint up until now. And better yet, this place is cheap as hell. A meal, with burger, fries, and milkshake is about 12 bucks. I highly highly recommend this place for a great bite to eat.

So this is no longer a vegan café. It’s a bummer, but it’s still a great spot. I’m not a meat eater but I would much rather see farm raised natural meats on a menu than commercial items. That said, the new GKC is great(just don’t compare it to what it used to be since they are essentially two different things.) Plenty to choose from on the menu, total willingness to make substitutions, and everything is made to order. Customer service is awesome — you definitely aren’t just a number here! Food is delicious. Total accommodation for food sensitives. Still some raw dessert options(I’m refined sugar free, gluten free and dairy free), and great smoothie menu!

I am giving the establishment two stars instead of one because of the pleasant young lady taking my order and the fact I enjoyed the smoothie. I used to go out of my way to eat at Good Karma. When I visited last Saturday, I was beyond disappointed. They now serve meat, and the entire place smelled like bacon fat(something I was clearly not expecting). Without a doubt, the vibe is different. My advice? If you want to change the entire concept of an eatery, change the name, as well. Good Karma no longer describes this café.

I have been here a few times since it has opened and have had some great meals. That buffalo chicken seitan wrap is amazing. The rice burger is pretty awesome too. The vibe in the restaurant is nice and relaxed. The employees are really nice and helpful.(especially a young man named Conner) There is also a patio you can sit on outdoors and a living room kind of area upstairs you can eat in. Super chill. Would consider giving five stars but my friend and roommate(who goes there a ton) says that the food is very inconsistent. I haven’t been for a few months, but I have heard that there is some new ownership going on and that they are now serving meat. I guess I am okay with that, but I did like the non-meat menu that there was before. Will be interesting to check out what it is like now.

A while ago, this café was owned by an amazing vegan man who brought(vegan) food to another level. In more recent time, a new owner has taken over and destroyed the entire ethical food premise on which the restaurant was founded — all for profit and $$ in his pocket. The last two times I ate here I was given a meal contaminated with dairy(which is not only an ethical choice for me not to eat, but an allergy), even after having explicitly stated I was vegan and wanted no dairy. The owner is incredibly critical of vegan lifestyle and choices, something which he clearly does not even understand. He continues to gripe about vegans being unhappy he is serving meat and dairy, when there are still vegan options. He has no conceptual understanding of «good karma»(ironically) or ethical food choice. This man will justify his decisions by tearing down those around him and not allowing people to express their dissatisfaction in his restaurant’s change. If you are a vegan and vegetarian looking for food that isn’t contaminated by meat and/or dairy, please head elsewhere. Go to Susty’s in Northwood — the staff is knowledgable, kind, and truly ethical. There is nothing phony happening there.

This place is great! Super welcoming and chill and cozy. Great food and a ton of delicious raw/vegan chocolate type treats. Pleasant staff. They have almond and coconut and soy milk for the coffee plus liquid and powdered stevia to sweeten it! And all kinds of other offbeat health store type teas and smoothie ingredients. The vibe of this place is amazing. There’s a big screen tv upstairs and a guitar and a bunch of comfy couches. Downstairs has more tables and all like a typical café. Definitely hit this place up if you’re in the area! Outside doesn’t look like much but it’s worth the visit for sure!

We visited the GKC after some friends recommended it(and gave us a gift card). Having a soy-free, peanut & cashew-free vegan in my life makes any food-related event very exciting — but this place makes it possible for us to have a meal that we did not make ourselves. This place is a little bit in the middle of nowhere, outside of Exeter downtown — but is a cute little place with a fun and colorful interior. We studied the menu for a while, plotting what was«safe», which was made easier with«Soy-free»(and gluten-free) icons. The owner was helpful in the ordering process as we asked a hundred questions about cashews/soy/peanuts etc. We ordered the Veggie of the Sea Salad(without the miso dressing), the Roasted Seasonal Veggie Panini, the Cookies & Cream smoothie, and a couple of Raw Chocolates/Truffles(and a cup of coffee). We were quite impressed with the amount of food that we received. We split the sandwich(which comes with a side salad) and the veg of the sea salad. The sandwich was delicious, and includes a pesto which was amazing. The bread that they used was also perfect — flavorful, great texture. Would definitely order it again. The salad was gigantic with TONS of seaweed/veggies & sprouts. We could have split it with 1 or 2 others. Well worth the money, a great salad with a lot going on. The sunflower pâté is an excellent complement to the roughage. The smoothie was good, wished it was a little larger, but the flavor was good and different. The truffles were great, melt in your mouth. We had cacao nib crunch and sunbutter — would love to try some of the others. They offer a ton of desserts, a lot of cashews involved which i hear is delicious. My only remark is that having a menu that lists ingredients would be helpful — which the owner did say he was working on already. Thanks for a great lunch Good Karma Café, we will be back!
