Valenti’s Restaurant

We went for dinner tonight and were greeted and seated promptly. Our server came right to our table and got our drink orders and we received our complimentary bread and butter which was amazing.
I ordered calamari as an appetizer and spaghetti and meatballs for the entrée. My mother ordered lobster.
We were waiting a while for our food, our entrees came before the appetizer and the waitress apologized that there was a mix up in the kitchen and that the calamari would be right out and would be taken off our bill.
The calamari was amazing, however, the spaghetti was very bland and nothing to write home about. I only had about 5 bites before asking for a box. My mother’s lobster was complete mush, so much so that she could not even eat it. They offered to replace it and bring a new plate but at this point it was already too late. They did however take this off the bill as well.
The staff apologized and offered us a free desert or drink but we declined, at that point we just wanted to leave. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Pizza looked and tasted really good. I had chicken scampi and it was horrible. It was fried breaded chicken breasts in tons of butter and garlic. Never had it this way. Other dinner we ordered was chicken parm and the sauce was bitter. Both orders went to takeout and in the garbage.

If your in town, this small family owned restaurant is a must try. Food is generally decent, and they have decent portion sizes for the price. Their pizza is excellent and a must try. Great bar and excellent service especially from John at the bar. I generally find that there are too many great apps to order and dont order the pasta dishes, but did try the eggplant parm and that was excellent.

Wonderful authentic food. HUGE portions. Would definitely come back.

Food is good and service was good. However, be careful if your allergic to MSG or any other variety of taste enhancers. My wife had NY Strip steak and she woke up this morning with a terrible migraine.

Why the 1*? Thi food is amazing. You will not find better italian outside ny. Its not an upscale joint by any means, but the food was 5*!!! Had the chicken and eggplant parmegian, and it was the best ihad in years.
I would definitely go here again if in the area.
