This review is for Hyderabad Palace! Visited this place twice and had bad experience both the times. We ordered onion pakoda as appetizer, it was very very less quantity for the price they charged and doesn’t even comes with chutney, was soggy and half fried. It was such a waste of money. Other day went to buffet and dishes are cold and biryani was over. they dint even bother to fill it.

I did tried this restaurant couple of times n I have a feeling that I’m having addicted to their authentic hyderabadi biryani… Every Wednesday they have biryani mela were you can taste the choice of your biryani among chicken, shrimp, lamb, egg, vegetables, fish etc. Good for variety of biryani

This place has delicious food at very fair prices. I advise ordering a la carte from the menu rather than doing the buffet, especially if you want to get the freshest food with the most spices! Our vegetable biryani was awesome and and we also like our other veg curries. Lots of vegetarian options here!

The restaurants name has changed to Hyderabad Palace. Stopped in for butter chicken(medium spice level), bismati rice and garlic naan. Not pleased at all. The butter chicken was soupy and cinnamon sweet but also quite hot not the slightest hint of typical butter chicken. I received plain white rice instead of bismati and the naan was flat and bland. This is my second and last time trying this restaurant since it changed names. First time, we had the lunch buffet. Not pleased then so I figured I’d try once more Togo and even more displeased. Also pretty pricey for portion size. I usually pay less for a whole lot more and better quality, tasting food. It’s too bad because they’re close.

Delicious food with good service. Try a Chat as an appetizer or just go for the appetizers to try it out. I have been to most of the Indian restaurants in the area and this is the best all around. Multiple visits and the food is consistent. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful in describing the dishes. One entrée can potentially feed two people. Family style sharing of multiple entrees is the most fun.

Food ordered — Drinks Mango lassi(5⁄5) Appetizers Spicy Chicken pakora(5⁄5) Goat pepper fry(0⁄5) Main courses Chicken biryani —(3⁄5) Goat biryani —(3⁄5) Egg biryani —(2⁄5) Dessert Rasmalai(5⁄5) Staff —(5⁄5) Overall experience of a typical South Andhra-Ian restaurant where everybody speaks the same language and everybody only comes for the yummy(in this case, not so much) biryani. It was def a nice surprise that the restaurant was open until 1030 On a Friday night. BUT this was a great excuse for leftovers to be served. Food was bland, as biryani should be flavorful and aromatic and tonight they just weren’t. Masala levels were low. Spice levels were basically non existent. We had to send the goat pepper fry back because if how non cooked or overcomes it was — inedible!(The editor/manager was nice enough to take that off the bill for us!) The biggest disappointment was that I had run home ASAP and call dibs on the bathroom!

Not sure if the chefs were in good mood yesterday evening, but the food was amazingly good. I had only heard negative comments about the restaurant. Six of us visited. We ate chicken pakoda, bk chicken, chicken lollipop, andra chicken curry, mutton curry, butter naan and goat/chicken biriyani. I would rate everything 5 and biriyani 4.

I have had visited biryani king for buffet and tried Togo many times. They the best in area for spicy food, owners are telugu speaking and very polite. I have tried chicken 65, chicken biryani, veg biryani, punugulu, and many more appetizers. Simply best in taste, spice levels, and portion is great too. Especially 65 is amazing. I have ordered numerous times and never disappointed me in taste or spice levels. Recommend this restaurant for parties orders, buffet, and any time order your you will get your money’s worth. Hope they continue to maintain it.

Went there for lunch. Ordered Chicken Tikki Masala, after a few minutes I was told that would take 45 minutes to an hour to cook. So we ordered the lunch specials instead, the chicken and the vegetarian, turned out they were exactly the same, one had chicken in it, the other had cauliflower. We ordered gobi manchurian as an appetizer, only to find out it was also part of the special, so we ended up with 3 orders, so should have been told that when we ordered it. The flavor of the food was good and well spiced, lots to eat but the naan was a little disappointing. Service was fast.

Nice taste. Prefectvbalance of spices. They have medium and spicy. As a hardcore biryani fan i cant take spicy level. Try only medium spice. You will never regret.

They do have one the best goat dum biryanis in the area. But the service is terrible! I found a long plastic string in my biryani and pointed this out to the manager. But they didnt even remotely look concerned about it. They should have ideally replaced my biryani, which they didnt nor did they offer to do so. Hope no one ends up with plastic strings in stomach after having their biryani… in future!!! Best of luck guys!!!

Was in PA last week and decided to go grab some Indian good … Biriyani King was not a high end fufu place, the food was good, service was fast and the price wasn’t expensive . The restrooms were clean and that’s a big thing for an Indian restaurant, the servers were nice. Yea they did bring the soda in a can and when I asked for a glass, they had it in a flash :) lol. The food was spicy and more authentic than most Indian place in the area. It’s almost as good as the ones in New Jersey . Verdict: inexpensive, hygienic and tasty !!

So we decided to give this place a second try! I ordered a medium spicy veg biryani just like I do everywhere. And it was SPICYORWHAT! I would rather they make it less spicy and more flavorful. The server was a nice fella though he rescued me with some raita. The mango lassi was good and a savior after the spice bomb. All in all it was ok-dokie, I have had better. Would give it a 2.5

The Biriyani was a crap and flop! No salt and very stingy in giving meat! The chicken 65 was fully loaded with OIL and flour. «NOGO» for sure. The only thing I like is chicken fry but very less quantity for price!

First of all, I am not Indian, so I don’t know how real Biryani suppose to taste. If this is authentic Biryani, then I am disappointed. Spicy level is as you order, but what I mean is, it lacks flavor. Yes I can feel the heat, but that’s about it. The rice is plain Indian basmati. So you can imagine how much flavor there is. Chicken was just average. They give you Yogurt sauce and Indian gravy. Other reviewer already said they are on the watery side. Again lack flavor. For $ 11(before tax and tips), I expected more than 3 pieces of bone in chicken. And when I say 3 pieces, they are not as big as KFC. Since the food was not satisfying, I didn’t even pay attention to the décor. Looks just like when it was Green Papaya which they suck too. Service was good and friendly.

The service was excellent, very friendly, but the food was bland. They did bring the heat but the veg biyrani lacked the traditional and lovely complexity of spices. The veggies consisted of only peas and carrots, seemingly from a freezer. The yogurt saucy stuff was strangely watery and without taste. The goat biryani had barely more flavor but the meat was dry and chewy. Please! We need a good biryani place! Up the quality and spices!

Went here with my family before going to Sam’s Club. Loved it. They were open ten days when we went so they were super friendly. It is run by two brothers and one hosts and one cooks. After making the meal the chief came out to see if everything was alright. He chatted with us and explained about how he made the food. He said they would be expanding the menu soon. However, there were four different biryanis on the menu and that was fine for us. For an appetizer we had Chilli Fish(Apollo Fish) which were finger size pieces of fish that were bright red and spicy. For the main courses I ordered the BK Chicken Biryani, my son ordered BK Goat Biryani and my wife had Gobi Manchurian an appetizer because she was afraid of the spices. The cook made all the food mild because of my wife. We shared what we had amongst one an other so I tried all the dishes. I liked them all. So did my wife and son. There was a hot chilli sauce and a mild yogurt sauce served with the entrée’s. I put the spicy sauce on my Biryani and that was good. The yogurt sauce I saved and had at the end of the meal wit some rice which is traditional. Then for desert we had there Fruit Delight(Kubani Ka Meetha) daates and apricot. It is like a sweet fruity pudding. We all shared a cup of that and we all enjoyed it. I also had a Mango Lassi which is a tasty yogart and fruit drink. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would gladly go back again.

Wow… what a biryani .I ordered chicken biryani medium spicy and it was hot enough for a south Indian like me. The gravy that comes with that was great too. The best bang for the buck biryani… if u like meat. As for me I don’t eat vegetarian outside the house. I don’t know about others but ordering a Veg. Biryani is like ordering a Veg. Cheese steak in South philly !! How can it be good, its missing .well er… MEAT! Hope they make southie style non veg thalis:-) I am gonna give 5 stars for this.
