Nice little surprise. Was in the area and had a craving for some Chinese food, and guess what was around the corner. I do not judge Asian cuisine easily, so if I say the food is good, it usually is. I wouldn’t say its ‘traditional’, but it IS good. The«Crazy Hot Chicken» had very good flavour. Try the coconut chicken for a unique taste, it was very interesting and had to get seconds! I will definately come back if I am in this area again!

Simply horrid. Filthy rest room, even the door was sticky. We were mortified, and left hungry. We accompanied our teenaged son and 3 of his friends, who, being teenagers, ate a ton of food and loved it. We saw food on that buffet that looked like it had been there all day. Avoid this place, or take your chances with food poisoning.

This place should not be able to serve food. Everything sucked! I mean for Christ sake even the fortune cookie was stale. Don’t waste your time or money. I would have rather made myself a PB& J.

I was just here with my school, and I got to say, the food wasn’t very good. I got chicken nuggets and they tasted like bread. I also tried these«Cheese Wontons» and they were filled with CREAMCHEESE. what kind of Chinese food is that? I don’t know if I will ever go back.

I’ve been noshing at China Grill for lunch sporadically for the past 9 years. The quality has fluctuated for sure. In the beginning it was excellent, then it went downhill and I took a few years off. Lately it has rebounded and I think it’s a solid 3-star buffet. The choices are varied… white rice or brown rice, several soup options, fried delights, savory saucy dishes, chinese noodles, japanese sushi and raw oysters, fresh fruit, and now hard serve ice cream. I’ve been twice in the past few weeks and this place is a solid 3 and possibly pushing 4 stars. The food is very fresh lately. So if you haven’t been in a while because of your past experiences, give it another try. I hope they keep up the good work!

Came here on a Sunday right around lunch time so you think it the food would be at its best. Well it was cold soggy and left out for hours it seems. I was not satisfied at all. I might give this place another shot but after my first experience I’m not sure

Dining experience is something that differs from person to person… but let’s be honest here, how serious are you to give a 4&5 star review? Lmao. The food quality/selection reciprocates the low buffet price. Use your better judgment w/this one…(I mean look @ the picture uploaded here. Its not even @ the restaurant. Its some random chinese guy shopping for some shoes or something lmao.)

Horrible. There wasn’t 1 somewhat decent item on the entire buffet. Cold, greasy, over cooked, left over, dried out, soggy, gross. The only thing that was ok was my diet coke. Will never return.

Average. Large selection of food but typical buffet stuff: chicken is mostly fried breading, american food looks unappealing, everything is greasy, etc. Exactly what a chinese buffet should be. Staff was very nice, always smiling. Went for lunch. And not to bash on King Buffet in Downingtown but a weekday lunch selection here probably doubles King Buffet’s dinner on a Saturday night.

Consistently decent. That’s maybe the best I can say about this place. I had been here a few times before with co-workers, and recently decided to give them a shot on my own. Basically, everything I had there satisfied me, if it didn’t wow me. Then again, I had an entire lunch based solely on appetizers. Why? Because I could, that’s why. When a Chinese buffet gives you enough options that you can make a good variety of a meal on the appetizers alone, it has done the job it is supposed to do.

Went here with some friends and the first thing we noticed was that it was very empty, a bad sign. While the carry a wide variety of food; its all been sitting around for a long time and is nearly inedible. They had sushi that appeared to be sitting out in the open all day uncovered. This place made me feel physically sick; and it wasn’t even a reasonable price! Paid over $ 10 per person for the worst Chinese I’ve had in my life.

Hot & Sour Soup is fabulous! Wide variety of foods, plenty of meat, poultry and seafood dishes. Excellent dumplings, nice salad bar and basic sushi offerings. Servers are friendly and attentive. I could not disagree more with Alex Z. regarding parking — there is plenty of parking and it’s available on 3 sides of the building in which China Grill Buffet is located. At present, China Grill charges just $ 8.95 per person for the Saturday lunch buffet. In Exton, where everything is incredibly expensive, you just can’t beat it!

This was a far-above-average Chinese buffet. A few of the items here are iffy but by and large this place was top-notch. I’m tempted to give it 5 stars. I knock it down to 4 because it’s situated in the abomination that is «Main Street at Exton», a suburban strip-mall-style shopping plaza that has chosen a name that is an affront. This suburban style of development is destroying America, and the developers have chosen to pick a name that is attempting to lay claim to «Main street America” – precisely the type of commercial community that is being threatened and destroyed by the short-sighted sort of suburban-style development like this shopping plaza. It’s vile and pernicious. And it’s making me knock this otherwise 5-star establishment down to four. And parking… gosh…it’s abysmal! If you’re gonna have suburban development, at least make it car-friendly. This place requires a car to get to but parking is still a nuisance. But back to the food: This place has a lot of cephalopods, including a very tasty squid salad, and whole baby octopi. Epic win. Fresh mussels, clams, cocktail shrimp, and some good sushi, although the maki rolls were not very good. Hot and sour soup was top-notch. There was some whole Szechuan-style fish that I found very enjoyable. Dumplings and egg-rolls were average; I’d recommend passing on them. Hot food and stir-fries were far above average. Green beans were cooked just perfectly – still crispy! This is in contrast to many Chinese buffets which tend to have mediocre hot stir fried dishes. Ample seafood. Some good fresh fruit. Lots of variety. And not a single thing that was bad – I finished everything on each plate I took. So…while I’d advise you to steer clear of «Main street» in Exton, if you’re gonna eat there, eat at this Chinese buffet.
