I had very little hope for liking Ariana since i did not see any kubideh listed. Then i realized that it was called something else. Plus it was on lunch special! I then fell in love… for a minute I was initially pleased about the 8.95 lunch special and the big portion of sambosas, which i had never had before, but were very tasty. Then came the main course. And by main course i mean a HUGE pile of somewhat oily but overall great rice, a couple slices of red onion and tomatoes and one kabob. just one! For 8.95??? I’d much rather go somewhere else and get two for the almost same price! But the kabobs were very good. I really liked the flavor and the not too charred texture. I brought back the chicken kabobs for a coworker who loved his. He said the flavor was great and he got spiniach with his. And the bread was great… really different with the whole wheat, but awesome. Will i be back? Eh… the food was good, but not worth the price(Dinner is like 10+). Plus the waiter made me very uncomfortable because he was so timid and scared looking. I also found it weird they had a huge projector screen showing CNN… with sound… making it a little awkward to have a conversation when you hear reporters talking non stop about what having a female VP nominee will do for both Obama and McCain’s campaign. I just wanted some kubideh

Pretty good afghan kabobs but terribly overpriced, especially for how little food you get. All kabobs are in the double digit price range, though they do offer a lunch special of selection of kabobs, rice, bread and sabzi for $ 8.95. Unfortunately the lunch special is a very tiny offering and the sabzi consists of a tiny slice of tomato and small sliver of red onion. Even with an entire appetizer I was still really hungry after eating all my food. Meats were generally flavorful and well cooked. Rice was a little overspiced and oily. I did like the bread which was fluffy whole wheat flat bread. Kabobs aside, this place has VERY good sambosas. So good that I would suggest coming here and getting a few appetizers for a happy hour. I’m not sure what their drink menu is like, or if they have any specials, but for $ 3.95 you get a plate of four sambosas(basically the same thing as an indian samosa). Their other appetizers all sounded good too and were also inexpensive. I probably won’t return for kabobs but would definitely consider coming back to grab a few appetizers,
