Love this lovely store! Great clothes, prices on point, friendly and patient owner who makes you feel welcomed. I stop by once every couple of weeks or so and nearly always leave with something that will make regular rounds in my wardrobe. Check it out!

Liked that I bought a pair of gently used Marc Jacob wedges here for a decent price ~200

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Magpie until now! Anita has a great eye and keeps the store stocked with all kinds of goodies, both vintage and modern. Magpie reminds me of some of my favorite vintage stores in San Francisco, as it manages to somehow capture the look of several era’s over a span of time in both the store’s aesthetic/design and also its clothing selection. I’ve left things on consignment at Magpie and they are scrupulous about the whole process, which makes it so much easier to think about cleaning out my closet, knowing that at least some of my things will likely end up in Anita’s capable hands. I’ve gotten my favorite pair of sunglasses here, some great dresses and many other treasures that keeps me coming back again and again.

Was in town visiting my hometown from Los Angeles and visited this cute store. Sales girl was very nice and they have a nice selection. Tried on some 30’s-70’s items plus some modern designer items and ended up with a super cute cherry dress from the 1960’s, perhaps for summer days in LA!

I love this lady! She pays 50% of the price she receives for clothing! This is great, because elsewhere i see they pay 30%-33%. I consigned things to her, really special things i’d been saving for years, and wow, she got great prices for them! Also, an old dress i brought in to sell had a seam that had to be sewn, and she calmly said she’d do it. No drama, no issues; she is a pleasure to work with.

A very nicely curated consignment store with fair prices. Good service. The owner has a good eye, the merchandise is clean, well marked, and displayed well. No junk. Good stuff. I’ll be back!

I happened upon this store and loved it. I bought two items, including a great Anthropologie jacket for $ 25. The owner is so sweet and although the store selection is somewhat small, she makes up for it with her great finds, I will definitely be back again!

As someone who loves/wears vintage clothing, shops frugally, and happens to work in the same neighborhood, I have a pretty bad habit of spending my lunch breaks both here and at Yeah Baby. Though I hate sounding immodest, I probably spend less on clothing than a lot of my peers AND have a more fashionable wardrobe overall. Great example: last July, I found an Eva Franco summer dress in my size, and in good quality, for about $ 35-$ 40(I can’t remember the EXACT price at the moment). Go online and research what those are normally priced. Not cheap.

This is my favorite clothing store in Marin — especially during the summer when I can wear the adorable dresses I find there. Things are in good to great condition and affordable. PLUS she takes in consignment clothes, so sometimes I’m able to buy new-used things with the $$ from my items that sold. Makes me feel a little better about spending $$ on items that I like, but maybe don’t need. The owner is sweet, helpful and never pushy. If I’m in the market for dress, a pair of shoes, or just the right outfit for a party/wedding/etc, this is the first place I go.

This place is small but for true vintage clothing is probably the best place in Fairfax, maybe all of Marin. There is a very small contemporary section but the real reason to go here is to find some old gems. They are not cheap, but not unreasonably priced either; remember, real vintage in good condition is a now rarity. The woman who runs the store is extremely personable and I will definitely be in again soon.

«Girl, you have got a problem». That’s what my friend said when she came over the other day and discovered that I bought another 5 dresses, bringing my one week total to 15. This same friend counted the dresses in my closet one day and the number was an embarrassing 62. But in my defense, I wear all of them. I love dresses, what can I say? And this past shopping excursion at Magpie was completely affordable. This is a well organized and fairly priced consignment store that carries some really cool vintage clothes, bags, shoes, jewelry, and linens. So all five of my dresses ended up costing less than one dress at Anthropologie or a boutique in the city. Now I just need to find a good place to buy more hangers…
