Couture Revival Consignment

This shop is great! My girlfriend and I love this place, we always find amazing deals on name brand accessories and shoes here! I’ve sold lots of times here too, and always got a fair price on my items, I highly recommend this place to buy and sell!

Snobby and rude. With all the lovely resale clothing shops in San Rafael– don’t bother with this one. If you’re looking to sell your clothes, the best places really are in SF. They won’t treat you like you’re a child and tell you that you need to «present the dress pressed and on a hanger» in order to sell it. Completely ridiculous.

Some great finds here — and many high-​end items. Not as expensive as you might fear from the use of the word «Couture.»
Service: Friendly, but not aggressively so. In fact, I’d rate service here higher than Avant Garde or Bella, the consignment shops across the street.

This shop is a gem and cant believe its in San Rafael. I always find a thing or two that when worn dazzles my friends and coworkers. Good prices, unique finds, great atmosphere and Suzy will help you find something you cant live without as well as be honest if you can. Go visit you will tell your friends too!

This is my favorite Consignment store!!! I’m confused about any negative reviews, that hasn’t been my experience here at all. I shop here at least once a week, probably more so I feel I have a wide variety of experiences to draw from.
1. The owner, Susie is always welcoming. I see her greet customers as they enter. If she doesn’t help someone right away it’s because she’s busy helping someone else or on the phone, there’s only 1 of her… I have also been treated well by her employees but yes it’s true if there’s only 1 person helping customers they can’t spread themselves out… they have to help each person one at a time. And of all the time I’ve spent in this store I have not seen what Ashlie reported (not that I don’t believe she had a negative experience — it’s just that that hasn’t been MY experience).
2. The clothes are reasonably priced!!! I have bought some amazing pieces here and most have been around $ 30. It’s true, if you’re looking for a $ 10 pair of pants you’d best go to Goodwill and not to Couture Revival. Susie carries name brands and some of them are very high end. Sure you’ll spend a bit on a Chanel suit or coat but where else can you find a used Chanel suit or coat that’s going to be less than ½ of what you would pay for it new at a department store?
3. Susie has taken 80% of the clothes and jewelry I’ve brought in to re-​sell. Does she take everything, no? She’s picky and that’s a good thing! First of all I don’t need her to waste her time or mine by taking things that will never sell and secondly, I don’t want to find something sub-​par (ie: in poor condition) to be resold.
No one here has ever been «snobbish». Everyone is kind, friendly, down to earth and FUN! This is where I go to laugh and relax, try on clothes and have a good time. The clothes are good quality, the jewelry is fantastic, the shoes, purses, hats and wallets are all great!!! I can’t say enough about my favorite consignment store — Couture Revival!

I have had great luck finding some wonderful bargains at this shop. I have scored adorable shoes and tops and some cute jackets, along with a sweater I am wearing right now! I love the jewelry selection and have found the owner to be super helpful. If items have been in the store for a while, she is willing to discount them. A few times she offered and I didn’t even ask! I have consigned a few items there and brought my mother in laws clothing and accessories in, and most things sold pretty quickly. I gotta say, I love this store!

I have to agree with the other reviewer. The time I came here to shop, I wasn’t greeted for 10 minutes after I entered the store, and all of the clothes seemed really overpriced for consignment.
Then when I tried to consign some pieces to them from brands that I had seen in their store, they turned me away with a snobbish attitude. I will find other consignment stores to spend time and money at.
