I used to love you myunga but not anymore. Loved coming here after stopping by the local Asian market(lotte) for many, many years but stopped coming after lotte moved away. I came by the other day after going to Home Depot with the parents and I was shocked by how much the quality of the food and the place deteriorated. My mom and I ordered the soba noodles and my dad ordered the spicy bibim nengmyun. The food was mediocre and when I ran out of my soup base, I asked the waiter for more. To my shock, he told me that it would be 2 $ extra for additional soup. To start off, I was only given maybe half a cup of noodle base(the ratio of soup to noodle was way off). So for the restaurant to charge me 2 $ extra for an $ 8 dish was just outrageous. The service was also so poor. We only saw our waiter three times: when we got our menus, when our food came out, and when we paid. So incredibly disappointed in myunga which used to be my go-to Korean street food restaurant.

I think that this place is pretty good on some dishes and a miss on some dishes. The ramen thingy they gave here is a miss, while the kim bap is pretty tasty. The Labokki is pretty good in my opinion, aa well as the bulgogi plater they have is pretty good as well with a very welcoming portion size of meat. I came with my family last time and they got the beef bibimbap and the seafood bibimbap, which both looked good but I don’t know how they taste. I have had the chicken here which in my opinion is pretty good. Its not overly grease and full of flavor. My girlfriend told me to get the sauce they put on the wings on the side and dip it. All in all, I would have to say the food is good with some miss on the noodles, but everything else is very tasty. I recommend anyone to come try this place if you enjoy Korean food, and of course get the fried chicken.

They’re good for what they serve, quick food that is befitting of the name korean deli. I always get the rabokki or their kimbaps! It’s pretty good, trust me.

I’ve had their kim baps several times and it was better than average, I would come here if I wanted kim bap but not for anything else. I had their udon and it tasted like one of those frozen packaged one from Hmart, really not worth it. My friend had the bulgogi rice dish and the portion was huge and the meat was decent. Price was fair too. Overall, if you have a kim bap craving go here but avoid their spicy chicken wings at all cost!

Food is OK, but the waiters are not friendly. I was also disappointed that they changed my bill. They charged for more than the tip I gave them. Will not go here again, don’t want to go to a place where waiters change the tip I gave them.

Pretty good but it’s quite expensive considering in Korea u can get this food for almost half the price. This is better than redholic in Annandale tho.

Such good food. You can’t go wrong. Try the barbecue chicken, spicy, crunchy and tender, with so much flavor; yang nyum chicken. This time I had a seafood dish in a sizzling casserole; haemol dolsot bibimbap, yum! Lots of yummy seafood; said, mussels, shrimp and a variety of fresh veggies. We’re working our way through the menus. Soooo good.

The female waitress here is rude. I came in on a Saturday night around 8:45pm. They close at 9:30. I was greeted, but never offered a seat. I had to call her over to take my order while she was doing her closing side work. After taking my order she just sat back down and continued what she was doing, finished what she was doing then went to order my food. I am under the assumption I am receiving bad service bc I am not korean. A quick update. If you are in the area and are looking for a quick bite, the business closes at 9:30pm but shuts off their OPEN light at 9. And while I was watching tv, she shut it off at 9:06pm. This place is a joke.

Not bad. The centreville one is MUCH better. If I had not known about the centreville location, I probably would have given this place 4 stars. Portions are huge though. The taste is ok. The atmosphere is pretty boring. A nice place to eat if you’re alone or on a bad hair day lol

We came here for kimbap and it was just ok. It’s definitely not pricey by any means but I didn’t think the taste was stellar nor was it that memorable. We got another dish, I forgot what it was called but it had ramen, rice cake and egg. THAT was good and I would get it again. Service was ok. It took some time to flag down our server for the check… and there wasn’t even that many people.

So I’m Korean and I don’t like this place. First of all, the worst service ever. You have 4 waiters with their backs facing you the entire time. They don’t make eye contact ever. They forgot to greet us, give us waters, no utensils or napkins. You know the basics. On top of this, the food tastes a bit fishy. But it could also been the bad service. Don’t go.

The food is good, however the service is really the worst. I was there a couple weeks ago and just decided to write a review. My friends and I went in for a late lunch/early dinner and the place was totally empty. We were seated right away by a male server. He took our order and everything was good up until a young woman came to our table holding our ddukbokki bowl with her finger inside and literally just slammed the bowl on the edge of our table(not even putting it in front of us), didn’t say a word, and walked away. I understand that people can have bad days, but seriously? Never going back

I like this place better than the one in Centreville; it’s bigger and less hectic. The quality of the food is average, but it’s a good place to get a quick bite to eat. You should expect large portions too especially the tonkatsu and kim bap rolls. Be sure to tell them you want the beef in the kim bap if that’s what you want; it’s not the regular one listed.

I come here all the time and to be honest, there is nothing that special about their menu. The main thing I come here for is kimbap. It’s awesome everytime and they have a good variety. Their udon and ramyun are packaged and you could make it at home. The dukbokki was too sweet and not spicy enough. Their bulgogi and rice comes in a heaping portion which was great and tasty. Service is much less than par but prices are very reasonable.

I have been coming here on several occasions because the food is great and the price is pretty cheap for what you get. The food is what you would find on the streets of Korea sold by food vendors. I know since the first time they opened they raised their prices, but by a few dollars. I would have given this place a 4 – 5 star however, their customer service has slowly declined over the years as well. On my last visit, I wasn’t asked for what I would like to drink or handed a menu until I called over the waitress and she seemed very rude. I honestly believe if they hired a new wait staff or trained them in better customer service, people would be more inclined to dine in.

Small korean deli tucked away in a small plaza. I liked their myung in chicken and seafood noodles. My bf likes their kimbaps. Good place for quick eat and satisfies craving for korean kimbaps.

Myung-Ga is my favorite place in Fairfax for an affordable korean meal. They have one of the best kimbaps I’ve ever had. My favorite is the Donkatsu kimbap! I highly recommend this restaurant if you don’t want to drive to Annandale for korean food.

My first time here and love it! Food — I got the Myung-ga Special with udon and it was delicious! The broth was really hot which I love(because some places give them out warm/cold). The fish cakes were really tasty! But my friend ordered the rabokki and I wished I got that. Have to try it next time! Service — Our server knew little English so ordering and asking him question was a set back. But overall they were really friendly. Price — The prices were all reasonably priced and the portions were a lot. So I’ll definitely be coming back to this restaurant. Overall, a good experience with good company!

Myung-Ga has decent Korean comfort food — easy enough dishes that you can make yourself at home but a convenient option for when you don’t feel like cooking. Their gimbap is solid, and I do like picking up a variety for potlucks — always a big hit. This Fairfax Circle location has the worst waitress ever, though. They list 3 beers at the bottom of the menu, and my husband requested Heineken and Miller Lite when ordering. The waitress was completely lost, asked to see the menu, then dutifully wrote down the beer names off the menu. What?!? Then she returned almost immediately to tell us they do not have beer. Well, that was disappointing, since most of the food we had ordered was«drinking food.» Oh well, life goes on. But my goodness, she managed to roll her eyes or sigh heavily whenever I’d ask her for something like extra napkins or a cup of ice water. I didn’t realize we were such an imposition. Oh. Wait a minute. We’re NOT. We are the customers. She is the waitress. She is paid to bring us things we request during our dining experience. Yeah, we’re sticking with carry-out from this location for sure.
