One of the Great American restaurants, Ozzie’s is no different at creating a warm pleasant ambiance. Even though Ozzie’s is in the same plaza(Fairfax Corner) as Coastal Flats(another GAR restaurant), the wait is rarely as bad as with Coastal Flats. They offer ample inside seating with red leather booths, as well as a few high tables outside. Despite what you order, they start off with a bread basket and some sweet butter. Their Ozzie rolls are a must! Can’t start a meal without them :) I always get their Charleston Salad with Spiced Pecans — it is delicious and helps me stay healthy :) they’re also very generous on the chicken, so most of the times I have some chicken leftovers for next day. My friend also tried the Hickory BBQ Burger and said it was pretty good. The patty was cooked well and the bbq sauce was tasty. I have been to Ozzie’s several times now, both for sit down dinner as well as takeout. In both cases the staff was friendly and helpful; however, they lacked in consistency. With my takeout orders, there were times when I got Ozzie rolls and there were days when I didn’t. Also last time I went there for a sit down meal, it seemed that there was less salad on the plate and my chicken was not seasoned well. It must’ve been a day off in the kitchen :) Ozzie’s is definitely one of my go to’s :)

From their fish to steaks to chicken, there are so many good options for whatever you meal you desire. Every time I’ve had an pleasant experience with both the food and the service. Definitely would recommend everyone to give this place a try and you won’t regret it

Had a great time, our waiter was very nice and had excellent timing between the apps and dinner. I think I ate half their restaurant’s supply of bread while I was at it, but their steaks were great!

We love this restaurant. I had the pasta jambalaya and my wife had the chicken farm. So tasty! We also had lemonade, which was fresh squeezed! The service and ambiance were perfect. From start to finish we were happy and satisfied. Sadly, we did not have enough room for dessert.

Having a late night cocktail and Sam and Melissa and they are taking great care of the entire bar! There were two gentleman that came in at 9:59 and they and the awesome kitchen let them order … One minute before closing! A nice and comfortable atmosphere to hang out with friends! Way to go Ozzie!

My overall verdict: 1) 3.5 stars for food 2) 4 stars for service I took advantage of the«call ahead seating» option and I definitely recommend it, especially if you’re dining on a weekend night. I called 20 minutes before heading over and we were immediately seated at a few minutes past 6:00PM on a Saturday night. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. Inside there is a full bar and a separate dining area. It’s quite a large establishment and the place was bustling with activity. We perused the online menu in advance and knew exactly what we were going to order. The menu has much to offer including sandwiches, flatbreads, pasta and plated entrees with chicken and beef. Though, the menu is slightly tilted towards Italian eats. We had fried calamari and fried risotto balls stuffed with cheese and sausage. Both of these appetizers were quite good! I opted for tagliatelle with meatballs as did my daughter. My wife noted the steak salad in the online menu, but disappointed she didn’t see it on the actual menu. But, our server was gracious and asked the kitchen to make it for her and she found it to her liking. I noted the pasta was a bit«gummy», but the sauce and meatballs were on point. My other dining companions had shrimp | lobster tagliatelle and chicken with veggies. They commented their meals were pretty satisfactory, but one of them also echoed that the pasta was gummy. Perhaps, since the pasta was handmade? Anyways, I like my pasta al dente. Lastly, our server was great! He was very friendly, professional and accommodating. Other Unilocalers had noted that service was iffy, but I found service to be the highlight of the meal. I’d also recommend this establishment for happy hour or for corporate dinners.

Had a marvelous time here with the family. The wait staff were great, the hostess was hospitable and took photos for our touristy selves, and the food was satisfying. I tried some of the bacon flatbread, the smoked salmon salad, and the pasta primavera. All awesome choices! I enjoyed the various flavors of each dish, but the grilled salmon salad stood out. The smoking on the salmon is so rich! Im curious what type of woodfire they used to grill because the flavors were fantastic. Pasta primavera– the penne was cooked beautifully. It was gently aldente.(I love aldente noodles but not when its too undercooked to the point of over chewing… these were well balanced.) Ill be back the next time im in town!

First time dining at Ozzie’s and it was off the charts! Our waitress was great… Welcoming, informative and accomodating. My husband had the ribs; our friend had the roast beef sandwich au jus; and I had the cobb salad, italian style! Yummm yummm yumm is all I could say! Great ambiance, great food and great hospitality! What more could you ask for?

I have never had a bad experience at Ozzie’s! The food and service is always flawless. If you can’t decide on what to order, just get the salmon(cooked medium), it is the most perfect thing you’ll taste. For drinks, go with the bourbon smash. perfect balance of flavors for bourbon lovers.

We came here on a rainy day because we happened to be in the area. It was our second time dining here and for some reason we couldn’t remember the first time. Anyhow, the food and service was good. I ordered the lobster and shrimp fra diavolo which hit all of my tongue’s g spots. The husband ordered the crazy lasagna and was so happy with his meal that he over ate. My only complaint is that the water glass and water carafe were dirty AF!!! I was initially going to drink agua but was so disgusted at the condition of the glasses and carafe that I just ordered a soda… it had nasty dried up crusties all along the top and it was clear that they weren’t really washed. If you can get over that, you’d really enjoy this spot!

Came here for a second visit for a work meet & greet and the food was so much better! I explored Ozzie for the first time a couple of years ago and I wasn’t a fan of the lasagna or the linguini with shrimp dishes. I was hesitant to come back but work perks with free food and prizes are always nice! It gave me a chance to try some of the most delicious Italian American dishes that I missed out on. Our team had a happy hour with endless hot spinach, parmesan and artichoke dip, flatbreads, and fontina focaccia bruschetta. Everything was so good but my absolute favorites were the bruschetta, which were drenched in olive oil with a wonderful fontina layer in between the bread pieces, and the flatbread with the smoky applewood bacon, sweet caramelized onions and savory mushrooms. I was so satisfied with these happy hour good eats that makes me a fan of Ozzie’s good eats now!

I have been to many, many Great American Restaurants, but hadn’t been to Ozzie’s before, so my boyfriend and I remedied that on Saturday, when we had to run another errand in Fairfax. I am not super familiar with the area, but Ozzie’s is tucked away into an upscale outdoor town center-y place. If it hadn’t been so cold and windy, it would have been nice to walk around and window shop, but really, we were there for the food. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by two friendly hostesses. It was about noon on a very cold Saturday, and we were seated immediately, and then greeted by our server. One thing that I love, love, love about the Great American Restaurants is that customer service is top notch and everyone there is on the same team and just want to give you a great experience. Love that! Anyway, our waitress told us what the specials were and brought out The Bread. We got OZZIEROLLS, which are little doughnut-y things, and some other bread that was texturally reminiscent of the bread sticks from Pizza Hut INTHEBESTPOSSIBLEWAY. I was really looking forward to coming here, so I knew what I wanted to order ahead of time(cream of mushroom soup and the field salad). My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken and waffles. I had a bite of the chicken and waffles, which came with a little pitcher of bourbon maple syrup, and it was awesome. I love chicken and waffles because it’s not something I can make at home myself, and this was really great. The menu said that the chicken was spicy, but I didn’t think it was at all. It was certainly seasoned, but not spicy(totally fine in my book). I love cream of mushroom soup, and this was one of the best. The soup was overall, very creamy, but there were also slices of sauteed mushroom floating around in there, and it was so, so good, especially on a cold day. I ordered the field greens salad on the side, and it was really good. There were pine nuts, sliced figs, croutons, grape tomatoes, over mixed lettuces, and a really awesome champagne vinaigrette. Overall, the meal we had was really great and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ozzie’s Good Eats to anyone in the area.

Debated whether to go here or Requin at the Mosaic Center for my 18th Bday. I made a smart choice! This isn’t my first time here, but it was definitely the best! Our server David T. was wonderful, the service in general was amazing. Even though we had to ask for so many utensils, they were always glad to help and serve! Not pricey at all imo, the food was delish as expected. Oh my gosh the bread! Bread! We asked for a couple of batches and they were always fresh! I’m not kidding!!! You can tell when somethings microwaved cause it’ll either be dry or flat. It was fluffy beyond a marshmallow. I ordered their lobster and shrimp pasta dish(for got what it was called) it was spicy though I’d give you that !

I went in for brunch and despite the fact I asked for lemon 5 times and they forgot, the service was great and food was really good. I normally don’t give 5 stars but everything here was too good to not give 5 stars. The spinach artichoke dip here is REALLY Good. Also The brunch food is really delicious. I got the crab cakes on the biscuit, while my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was deliciously crispy and tender soft in the inside. Texture of the waffles was on point, but the syrup with bacon bits?! GENIOUS! The reason why I gave 5 stars despite the lemon incident was because their service is really good. So I repeatedly asked for lemon 5 times and 3 of the servers kept forgetting. However, when I told them, one of the servers apologized, the manager himself came to apologize, and our main sever apologized. I would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Can’t believe I haven’t written an Ozzie’s review yet as I’ve been there many times. You can always count on Great American to deliver consistent, quality food and service. Ozzie’s is definitely on the high end of their restaurants. Servers and bartenders have really been on their game every visit. The bar area is spacious and generally lively for HH. A few of my favorite items include Ozzie rolls(duh), Smoked salmon salad, and the Jambalaya pasta. Also if you want some serious meat the ribs and the brick chicken are FIRE. Overall, I think it easily the best restaurant in Fairfax Corner. Also recently went there for lunch and had a question about ingredients and the very knowledgeable head kitchen manager Caitlin helped me out. A+

As one knows, you can never really go wrong with any place in the Great American Restaurant group. Carlyle, Coastal Flats, Sweet Water, Jacksons, Arties. Take your pick, anywhere you choose you’re pretty much bound to have a great meal. Ozzie’s is one of the few I hadn’t checked out yet, but after furniture shopping at Arhaus I figured to check out Ozzies and boy I’m glad that I did. Their Ribeye was so good and I’m going to be dreaming about their Crazy Lasagna for nights to come. Even their Mashed potatoes were delicious and I’m not typically a Mashed Potato fanatic. Oh and their field green salad was so good, I loved the buttermilk herb dressing! The hostess who sat us was super nice and even asked us about our meal, when we were leaving the restaurant. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, very sweet and was able to make an awesome suggestion in the crazy lasagna! Ozzie’s is definitely a great place, ideal for a quick bite or a date night.

I’ve been here twice and both times were great. Service is fast and attentive, the great american restaurants always make a real effort to have the staff recognize any customer in need verses just scanning their sections on a rotation. The calamari is delicious and a very large portion, but wish they laid out a little more sauce in plating. The hanger steak was very good, not the best steak I’ve had, but delicious. The flat bread is very tasty and reminiscent of Ledo’s pizza. The chicken and waffles are awesome… that would be my #1 suggestion, although I think it’s only served during brunch/lunch. Also, who can’t just love Ozzie’s for being the original proprietor of the OZZIEROLL. P. S. their Ozzie’s lager washed all of this down with a medium bodied, honey forward, hop finished perfection.

Out of all the Great American Restaurants I’ve visited recently, Mike’s, Coastal Flats, and Ozzie’s have gotten into a nice rhythm of consistency. Consistent service, consistently great food, and consistent experiences. Ozzie’s teeters on the razors edge of being an «Italian» restaurant. Honestly, it’s more of your typical American style than anything else. They have your typical Italian dishes, some seafood, some meat, and some burgers. It’s all done well. The chicken parm I had tonight was very good. Chicken parm can fall into some easy traps(drowning in marinara/cheese), and this dish avoided those common pitfalls. It was brought out steaming hot which I always appreciate, and I didn’t feel like a gluttonous hog after eating it. I want to enjoy my food, not be beaten into a food coma submission. Service was great, as it is at every GAR I’ve been to within the last five years or so. Wait staff change, but they have a good program in place here to keep things consistent. This is an excellent choice for an evening out. Enjoy the food, enjoy the service, enjoy the ambiance. Highly recommended.

I’ve now been to all of the Great American Restaurants except one — Sweetwater Tavern. Ozzie’s was my second to last Great American Restaurant to try. My fiancé and I visited around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon after we had spent a few hours at a Virginia winery. We weren’t particularly blown away by Ozzie’s(our favorite Great American Restaurants are still Coastal Flats, Artie’s, and the Carlyle). It has a very disjointed theme — it’s supposed to be old world Italian, but the décor and food did not mirror that purported theme. I ordered a salmon salad, and while it was tasty enough, it wasn’t my favorite. I felt like some of the ingredients were lacking. My fiancé ordered a burger and fries and they dropped the ball on this one too. I have to say that the service was fantastic, though. Our server was polite and attentive throughout. There’s also plenty of parking in the little center where the restaurant is located. I doubt I’d go out of my way to visit Ozzie’s again, but it’s still decent food and a decent experience. And now I just have one more Great American Restaurant to visit — Sweetwater Tavern!
