Excellent meal again at Brio. Always great food for a great price. Wonderful drink menu as well. The food was delicious, and Brio delivers as it always does. The salmon was super pink inside(the waitress never asked«how would you like your salmon cooked…»), and instead of complaining, I took it home for ‘part 2′ of lunch the next day. More ‘anticipation by the waitress’ would have been nice

busy place, servers not organized well, move around the place too much, seems there are too few servers to accomodate a lot of guests

Met friends here for dinner and the place was packed. Service was a tad slow, server not as warm and welcoming as I would like. For apps, we ordered applewood bacon, tomato and roasted red pepper bruschetta, both of which were fresh and tasty. I ordered pasta with spicy black pepper cream sauce, spinach, and tomatoes. Black pepper is definitely the only flavor coming through the sauce… It was a decent enough place, but not worth the long wait.

Ate and drank at the bar. The Good: –Conveniently located at mall entrance if you’re shopping –Played the Redskins game when I needed it =) The Bad: –Slow service(friendly but slow and absent minded bar) –Burger was overcooked, egg on top was also overcooked

What a great dining experience. Marie R was wonderful, attentive and very personable. She recommended the lobster and shrimp ravioli which was spicy but incredible! The bread was tasty and our Caprese salad appetizer was yummy! Tim had the fettuccini rustica and thoroughly enjoyed. He added salmon and the portion was so generous we took the remainder to go. Really enjoyed!

I want to stars but a couple of things saved it. The portions are very generous. My friend said his braised beef was the best he’s ever had. My berry mojito was way better than the one I had just had at Cheesecake factory and it was about $ 4.50 less! We had a reservation on Saturday night and we were sat quickly. We ordered my mojito and two bottles of wine. Service was good. Everything was correct, prompt and the server was not intrusive. My pasta pesto was bland. The feta had no flavor. The pesto had no flavor. The spinach only added color to the dish. I wouldn’t order it again. My other friend order the chicken limone. It was three pieces of pounded, battered chicken on a huge portion of mashed potatoes. Unfortunately this meal was a miss as well. She said it had no lemon flavor. She only ate a few bites, commenting that she would take it home and jazz it up with more lemon. I wouldn’t go back for a meal — but I would go back for happy hour. Meh. Just changed my rating back to a 2-star. So many other places to go for a tasty meal.

Had an early dinner during the week, service and food was good. Waitress came back several times and refilled drinks, food came quickly and was tasty. My only comment are the prices, charging $ 18 for a bowl of angel hair noodles is outrageous especially when salads and sides are all an additional charge. Brio is a good place to come if you’re tired of the fast food outlets in the mall but be prepared to pay a premium price for pasta.

Such a GREAT spot; I’ve loved the one at Tysons corner, and now I love this even more for numerous reasons. 1) the ambiance and atmosphere is SO on point. 2) the patio is by far the best I have seen in a WHILE(feels very tropical, romantic, and very intimate) very fitting for this establishment. 3) good was superb; got the eggplant and shrimp(delish) in addition to the chicken Milanese(absolutely mouthwatering) so full of taste. The con: We were initially sitting at the bar, and decided to change to the patio, so they required that we close out our tab, which wasn’t a good idea because after doing just that; 1) we were neglected in service(no one has checked on us) 2) no one asked how our food was 3) no one asked if we needed any drinks 3) no one asked if we were«ok» and if we needed anything else 4) had to grab waters ourselves, and it’s the bartenders duty to ensure that when I asked for the waters coming in from outside, she should’ve realized that something was up, as well as having to come back in for Tabasco, Parmesan cheese, more wine, and bread. Not the establishments fault, but definitely the bartender(and they received a 20% tip) funny how things would’ve turned out had we not closed out early.

My boyfriend always jokingly points out the décor of Brio’s patio looks like a great date spot. Well this past week we gave the place a shot. We were seated fairly quickly, I was surprised since a few other guests were waiting before us. It may have been because we wanted outdoor seating. The hostesses were all very pleasant. Our waitress on the other hand, I believe her name was Katie, was absolutely great. She had a comforting personality that made you feel like you were having dinner at a friend’s. To me, I enjoy having a waiter/waitress that makes me feel like it wouldn’t be a burden to ask for even the littlest thing. It was our first time there and when I asked our waitress what she liked, her list of choices were pretty long. We decided to go with her first and favorite choice of lobster and shrimp ravioli. We also ordered the sausage and onion jam pizza as an appetizer. The appetizer was interesting but I really enjoyed it. I do wish there was more sausage and less onions. There was a slight sweet caramelized taste to it as well that my boyfriend really liked. The ravioli though, was amazing. It wasn’t drenched and sitting in sauce. They gave us a generous amount of shrimp on top of the pasta and a very good amount of lobster in the ravioli that made it worth the $ 20 price. The spinach would have been better if cooked a bit more but otherwise I highly recommend the ravioli!

Great place for a nice dinner with friends and family! For a chain Italian restaurant, it’s pretty solid. I ordered the ravioli di bello, which is ravioli with portobello mushroom stuffing topped with crimini mushrooms, grape tomatoes, and Parmesan. The sauce was really creamy, super buttery, and also on the saltier side(but still yummy). The ravioli itself was cooked well and overall I really enjoyed the dish! We also ordered the wedge salad, which I liked, but I’ve had better. The sauce was really thick and had a slightly weird aftertaste. Our orders came out pretty timely, but I can see it being a problem when it’s crowded. Although the food is pretty decent, it’s the classy décor and ambiance that impressed me. Usually I’m used to the dim lighting and homey feeling of many Italian restaurants, but this Brio is very bright and open with a lot of seating. Rounding up from 3 to a 4 for the friendly service and an overall good experience!

I brought my parents here for my father’s birthday and they enjoyed everything about it! The hosts were considerate and our server was probably one of the best I’ve had. I couldn’t catch her name but all of their servers are nice. She gave us recommendations, which were absolutely delicious, and we cleaned our plates completely. She made sure to check up on us and see if we needed anything else. We received our food quickly and the food was cooked perfectly! I always crave pasta and this is the place to go if you want delicious food~ The only downside was the restaurant was loud because of the amount of people inside. There was a party that was yelling and a few guys who were being absolutely rude to everyone around them. But that’s out of their control and it doesn’t happen often :) Overall, the food, service, atmosphere, and the restaurant itself was amazing. I’m glad I brought my family here and hope to come back soon!

Probably the best ravioli I have ever had and that’s not a joke. One of my favorite places to take my girlfriend as we both get the ravioli di bello. This is portobello ravioli with crimini mushrooms, tomatoes, Parmigiano-Reggiano and fresh thyme in a light champagne brown butter sauce. Adjectives won’t do justice here. I try to eat it slow so the experience does not end. Flush this down with a pinot noir and you wont regret it. Classy place with nice staff as well. One star off because the menu is not as eclectic as I wish it was.

Recently tried Brio for first time in Baltimore and was pleased so trying again this time in Fairfax. Traveling all day back from vacation without eating so pretty hungry but still made happy hour. The black pepper shrimp with Eggplant was again awesome as was the beef Carpaccio. Tried the tomato mozzarella salad and was pleased too. Red Sangria was fine, typically don’t border so wasn’t sure what to expect. Only slightly disappointment was bartender not too attentive or friendly. Didn’t seem too busy. All other servers were nice and quickly brought my food. I’d come again and try new things!

Finally opened in Fair Oaks a while ago across from Cheesecake Factory. The décor inside is pretty and it’s all neutral colors. I was immediately greeted by the hosts and luckily we had reservations because there seemed to be a wait. However, there were also a lot of tables that seemed to be empty. Maybe short staffed? Not sure. You get started off with some free bread. I got the oven chicken which comes with some mashed potatoes and variety of veggies. It was really delicious. Everything tasted fresh as well. My sister got the pasta alla vodka and the sauce for that was sooo delicious. She started dipping her bread to finish the sauce up. My mom got the shrimp Mediterranean and she said it was really good. I did try the sauce on it, and I would have to agree. To end the delicious meal we got the torta di cioccolata. It’s ultimately a chocolate molten cake with ice cream and raspberries. It hit the spot for sure. This is a wonderful place to go to. The prices aren’t awful and the food is good. Service could use a little work but it’s still new.

Good food, great atmosphere, and awesome service. Came here for the first time on a Saturday. It was busy and the food took a while to come out but it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to come back again.

When I saw Brio open up, I was instantly excited. I’ve eaten at another one of their locations in another state and was so sad they didn’t have one out here… Til now! My favorite dish is the pasta fra diavolo. It’s perfectly creamy and has the right amount of spices. The shrimp portions in the dish are amazing. Our group ordered the sausage and jam pizza, which was so amazing! Definitely sized to share. We also got the calamari and it was really good. Not overly fried and the batter was just right. Not overly battered. A friend ordered the campanelle carbonara and was in love. She also ordered the strawberry lemonade and was pleasantly surprised thay it was bottomless! The bistecca alla florentina was really good and also the grilled chicken under the brick was as well. We cannot wait to go back!

I’ve been here twice. Once, just ordered drinks and the spicy shrimp and eggplant appetizer which was amazing. A little on the salty side, but the pepper cream sauce was very flavorful and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Looked small on the plate but pretty filling. The drinks I ordered could’ve used more alcohol though. On a second occasion, came here around noon on a Saturday and ordered from the brunch menu. The eggs benefit was really good, the hash browns that it came with was just ok. Reasonably priced as well. The décor is beautiful and service is pretty good. I just wish the view facing cartoon cuts was covered up by curtains or something. Staring at the cartoon cuts while eating at a nice Italian restaurant can be a bit of a buzzkill.

My friend and I went shopping and we noticed Brio opened at Fair Oaks! We were in the mood for drinks so we decided to go in. I got my usual peach sangria and the bartender recommended a strawberry fresca martini for my friend. Best drinks i’ve had in a while. The bartender, Young, knows what he’s doing. Plus he is amiable and courteous. My friend and I started to get hungry so we ordered the salmon salad, bruschetta cuatro, and brio pasta. The salmon tasted good and it didn’t leave an aftertaste. The pasta noodles were cooked perfectly. The bruschetta dish was flavorful. I recommend this place and will definitely visit again.
