First time ever at a PF Changs and that even surprises me since the last three places I have lived there was a PF Changs near me. I stopped at this one for a light bite to eat before a movie and if this place is an indication of the franchise they made an excellent first impression on me. I went with the salt and pepper calamari and Asian pear mojito. Both were excellent appetizers that was perfect light snacks before the movie. The calamari was crispy and not greasy at all. It was actually filled with calamari and not just covered with seasoned batter. I am big on customer service and this is why I was so impressed with this place. I sat at the bar and I asked our server(Ryan) if they offered a military discount. He actually asked the manager who stopped by to ask how the food was earlier in the light meal. Big props that the manager was out and about checking on things. They do not offer military discounts but I was given a coupon for a free appetizer at any PF Changs. Awesome and greatly appreciated for the fact that he actually checked.

The location of this P.F. Chang’s is optimal. It’s near the movie theater so that if you’d like to get drinks and an app before you movie you can. That’s what I did, and the walking distance is minimal. The parking spots nearby are marked with two hour time limits but there are lots nearby and the walk isn’t anything to deter you. There are other eateries and businesses close by if you would like to take a stroll afterwards. No military discounts offered at this location. If they are busy, you can dine at the bar and still receive excellent service. My bartender Ryan was very knowledgeable and pleasant and made sure I was happy with my items. The ambiance here is good for date night, or just catching up with friends. The menu has an array of items from lighter fare to more filling choices. There was not a long wait from the time I ordered to receiving my food. It was hot and looked appealing. I appreciate the manager walking about checking on the customers and ensuring things were going well during their visit.

I’ve been to this particular PF Chang’s several times and I’ve never had any issues with them. I’ve never had real Asian cuisine, but I can tell you this is one of the better ones I’ve tried in the area. Sterling has plenty of cheap Asian cuisine places and they all pretty much suck. Better pay a bit more and go to PF Chang’s. And it’s not even that expensive. Last night I had Crispy Honey Chicken with rice and it was only $ 14.25, but there was a lot of chicken. Our waitress, Nathalie(I believe), was very nice and attentive. I ended up taking some leftovers to go and I had barely any rice left, so she just offered a new cup of rice to go. Tip: it is Fairfax Corner, so most likely it’ll be busy even if it is a super cold Wednesday evening so get there early to look for parking. Also, if going with a large group, be very specific about whether you want them to start cooking the food before you arrive there or when you’re sitting down.

After trying several other restaurants for dinner on a busy Saturday night I contacted P.F. Chang’s for a table. Despite the fact they were extremely busy I was able to get a table within 15 minutes of me calling. The staff is friendly and the food was great.

I wouldn’t say I go here too often, even with it being right next to my house but I have come on occasion to grab a small bite and some drinks in the bar area and since I went this past weekend, figured I give it a shout out. Yes P.F. Chang’s is a chain but they have upped their game since I’ve frequented the place back when I was in high school. Although I do not often eat this type of food, I was particularly drawn to the apps and sharable plates they had to offer, I mean, did you know they serve sushi? There’s specials now daily, I’m talking sushi and sake Monday, taco and tequila Tuesday, wine and wrap Wednesday, oh man, any one of those would float my boat! I’ve had the lettuce wraps which are pretty banging and a handful of other small plates and they were great for the group I was with since we did not want a huge meal for each of us. Happy hours drinks are very reasonable priced ranging from $ 3-$ 7 depending on drink and the small plates are all great. This location is in Fairfax Corner and it looks as pretty as it does inside as it does outside. My only caveat is that it seems a little small inside as far as dining space is concerned, I mean every time I have tried to get a table, there always seems to be a wait, but I do not normally have to worry about that since I go to the bar seating area. Regardless, I gotta start coming here more to change up my happy hour game, I will be seeing you soon!

I have mixed feelings about my experience on Saturday night. I knew from the beginning it was going to be one hell of a ride since the hostess’s seemed to not be on the same page with each other when it came to wait times. Originally, on the phone, I was told it was going to take 35 minutes for a party of 6; however, when we got there, it was going to be 45 – 55 minutes. Regardless, we gave them our phone number and was told they would call us when our table was ready. So naturally, we went over to our buddy Uncle Julio’s and got ourselves some margaritas. After 55 minutes, we walked back over to P.F. Chang’s and asked whether our table was ready. The hostess said that she tried calling us, but I informed her that she didn’t. And she replied, «Oh, I mean I called your name.» Um, we gave you our phone number, upon your request, to avoid this issue. Anyways, she looked around and said a party of 6 would be leaving shortly. So, we waited an additional 15 minutes for them to get up. When the party got up, the hostess walked us over to the table as it was being cleaned. Why would she think it was okay to bring us to a dirty table and have us watch someone clean the table and stack dishes? I mean, it’s not the end of the world but use some common sense… Anyways, our server was nice but he was very slow and forgetful. He forgot to put in our order of crab wantons and he brought out a Honey Chicken rather than a Honey Shrimp, so we had to return that. However, a food runner or a server had dropped a tray containing our rice and 2 entrees, so we had to wait for food regardless. So, while the 2 entrees were being re-cooked, I guess the server didn’t think to just bring out 2 more bowls of rice for the entrees that had not fallen? He was just so forgetful it was irritating. At one point, I had to walk up to him while he was chit chatting by the computer to inform him that we needed white rice. Like, it’s already made, just bring it to the table, it’s not that hard. Positive: Todd, the manager, made it up to us by comping the entrees that had fallen on the floor. Plus, he essentially became our server for the remainder of the night, which was great considering how slow and forgetful our server was. Ultimately, because of Todd our family night outing wasn’t completely destroyed. In conclusion, I would give this P.F. Chang’s another try. Thanks Todd.

This is the best P.F. Chang’s in the NOVA area by far. I have always experienced great service, food and atmosphere. My mom came here with me and we sat at the bar on a busy Friday night. What we ordered: Chang’s lettuce wraps, Edamame, Ahi Tartare with Avocado and Crispy Honey Shrimp. Every single dish was incredible. Bön appetit!

2.5. It’s not horrible but it’s just not good. We had reservations but still waited about 20 minutes. It was a holiday so somewhat understandable. The food was mixed. The two beef dishes were edible but really dry and salty. We tried the Mongolian Beef and the Beef a la Sichuan. Also tried the chicken wraps, chicken soup(both also salty). Family tried the tiger prawn and said that was the best dish. Lobster fried rice had good but paltry pieces of lobster. The dessert was good especially the fried banana which reminded me of bananas foster. The two wonton desserts were decent. Service was nice but didn’t come around enough, again it was a holiday. It’s a chain and it’s barely ok. There are better tasting group dining options nearby.

I like the place, the atmosphere, and the food was great. Taking one star off because they forgot the appetizers and served the main entrees first. They redeemed themselves by still serving. The appetizers and not charging us for them. They also served one wrong dish out of six, which they also paid for on top of serving the correct one few minutes later. If it wasn’t for those mistakes the place might have gotten 5 stars.

Sigh. Where to start. You maybe be thinking, «this guy just joined Unilocal why should I trust him». Now, what ever your opinion is, I respect it. However, I’ve been to countless restaurants and many famous ones. I am also a rising chef and somewhat of a food critic. So hear me out. Now, on to the review! I had high hopes for this place. All in all, it’s not a bad restaurant. The setting is odd, service is great. Based on these alone I would give it a 4.5. However, the main goal for a restaurant is to feed you. In this regard, PF Changs is mediocre at best. The food came out fairly quickly(the appetizers came out the second we ordered it). I was with my family at the time so I had a chance to test many things. We ordered the Korean bulgogi, butternut dumplings, Hong Kong seabass, egg drop soup, Buddhist feast, and lastly the coconut curry. The only thing that tasted good was the beef part of the Korean beef and the egg drop soup. Why do I say the beef part only? Because the veggies(mushrooms)were undercooked. Now the soup tastes great! Everything else was somewhat mediocre to flat out bland. I even found a piece of paper in my coconut curry. Now, I wouldn’t say I recommend this place. If you wanna eat something cheap. Order the egg drop soup and get out of there like an asshole. Cause the only thing that’s worth it is probably the service, the stripper décor, and the soup. –Jay

Rob the bartender is super professional and mixes some good drinks. Hanna is very nice and very polite. These employees make the experience worthwhile. I did not like my entrée, because I am picky, but it was handled very swiftly and efficiently and I ended up with very delicious food. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

Horrible service. Begged for rice, begged to have table bused, begged for dessert menus begged for drink refills, begged for the check. No more begging in my future and no more PFC. Your time is done.

We walked in and there must have been about 7 employees standing behind the host counter and they all just stood there and stared at us. It was so weird. After a long awkward moment my fiancé asked them if they were open. They just replied yes and continued to look at us. So after a few more awkward moments we said«so uh… could we like get a table for 2?» Our waitress was not too bad but the food just isn’t worth the price. I told her we were celebrating my finances birthday thinking maybe he’d get the classic birthday restaurant treatment, but nothing. Not even a dessert. Maybe that’s normal for This place, I dunno. So we left after our meal. Walked past the host counter again that still had a bunch of employees at it. They again made eye contact with us but said nothing. No thanks, no come again, nothing. To summarize, service sucks, food tastes exactly like pei wai but costs double the price.

PF Changs is the kind of place that serves good, reasonably priced food on a consistent basis. This location is in Fairfax Corner, so it’s around a lot of other restaurants and shops which can make parking a bit stuff on the weekend. They take reservations which is nice especially when you have a large group. I recently came in with 10 other ladies and we made a reservation and were seated right when everyone in our party arrived. Once we were seated, our server took our drink orders and when we asked for separate checks she was totally cool with that. She was friendly and patient with us. I know it’s tough dealing with a big table, but she did a great job. The food was consistently good and the portions are large enough that we all took leftovers home. This is a great Americanized Chinese restaurant that has good food and it’s a great location.

We stepped in here for a lunch meeting and the setting was perfect. The hostess and waitress were both kind and helpful. I will be honest though, I’ve been to this exact P.F. Chang’s in the past and I have never received this level of service. They may be under new management. On to the food: We started our meal with the new crab avocado sushi rolls which were AMAZING! We also tried their Calamari which was delicious, even though my group didn’t enjoy it as much. For the main course I went with my usual, Mongolian Beef and got a side of the Egg Drop soup. I would definitely recommend ordering lunch portions though, they bring out a lot of food. It doesn’t look like a lot on your plate but it’s heavy. Also, be sure to try their fried bananas and/or chocolate cake… OMG… I feel the food comma coming back on!

Food: solid Chinese food and pretty authentic. Not super salty like a lot of restaurants. The broccoli was ver plain tasting like real broccoli should. We had the kung pao chicken, and chicken and broccoli. Hot and sour soup was excellent and the chicken lettuce wrap appetizers. Price: slightly over priced, but comparable to the surrounding restaurants. Fed myself, wife and a four year old for about $ 45. Service: very friendly(Isabelle) Atmosphere: good. Very open, but lively and not too crowded or too noisy.

Excellent food, nice atmosphere, but typically a very long wait for a table. Frequently inaccurate in the amount of time to wait, was told 30 – 45 minutes but not seated until it had been over 2 hours. I realize popular restaurants are busy like this, but you have to be more accurate on the wait times. That may drive people away, but at least be honest about your estimates. Love the food, especially the chicken lettuce wraps and the shrimp with candied walnuts. Get both almost every time I go to P.F. Chang’s. Other P.F. Chang’s location are more accurate on wait times to be able to go off and do something for an hour and then check back in. Have not been to this location since that fiasco and wait of over 2 hours just to be seated.

OK, let me be the first to admit that I have been sleeping on P.F. Changs. I have honestly been here about five times and just thought the food was«OK». Well hello Eboni, you were ordering the wrong thing apparently. I recently went here with my boo for a Friday night cheat meal. I ordered(and I kept the receipt this time) chicken fried rice, sesame chicken and green tea. OMG… the bomb is what that was. I am not sure if it was because I eat clean and this was a well deserve cheat meal or what, but I seriously stuffed my whole face! Our server, according to the receipt, Freddy was awesome. He really was there for us but no too there. You know what I mean? Sometimes servers visit so often it’s hard for you to have a real conversation because you’re stopping every three minutes saying«thank you» or «everything is great». LOL My husband ordered some vanilla cream wontons(order of two), which I didn’t want any because I had no extra room for anything, not even more water. Well, I decided to try a small piece… and get ready… not only did I finish his last one, but I called Freddy over to add another order. SOOOOO good. They are petite and fresh and you will love every minute of them. I plan to try a copy cat version this weekend at home… after I visit again this Friday. HAHAHA Great meal and great service. Maybe I will try something different, but if you follow me, you know that once I fall in love with some… get me another order of the SAME thing.

Honestly, PF Chang’s is ok for what it is — Americanized Chinese food. Not much I can say that other reviewers have not already. The food is usually consistent although the last time we stopped in for happy hour, it was not up to par. Maybe just a fluke, but not in a great hurry to return. I find service at the bar to be more attentive. If you can find a seat, it’s not a long wait for drinks and appetizers. Bartenders are always friendly. My favorite entrees are the Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Chicken. For happy hour we have tried both the Northern Style and BBQ spare ribs, lettuce wraps, dumplings, crispy green beans, calamari and the dynamite shrimp. Of these, I would have to say the lettuce wraps and shrimp are my favorites, but again on the last visit they were not prepared as well as I am used too. If you are craving this type of food or a place for happy hour, PF Chang’s is not a bad choice, but I find I truly enjoy the smaller, family-owned, more authentic type places much more.
