I’ve been going here for 3 years and Jonathan is great, the place is luxurious and the staff are super friendly. Great hair cut for men– do yourself a favor

They cut my hair much shorter than what I asked. darker color than what I wanted. Didn’t even clean hair on the back of my neck and had nasty hair dye on the inner top part of my ear. Never going back again.

After decades of not being able to trust anyone with my curly, fine hair I found Heidi at Salon Khouri — she now has my loyalty, and I get her to work magic on my locks whenever I can!

Kristin is the best stylist/​colorist in NOVA! Being from Toronto originally, I used to fly home every 3 months to get my hair done because everyone else was a disappointment. Don’t go anywhere else, you’ll regret it! The wash basins have chairs that slide back and give you a body massage while her assistant massages your head. Highly recommended!

I visited Salon Khouri last weekend to get a hair cut, and I will definitely going back when the time comes.
First, they greet you at the door and offer you a drink. They have at least water and soda and it actually comes in a real glass! They also take your coat for you. When they wash your hair the chairs have a moving part in the back which massages your back. The staff overall was wonderful and very welcoming through the whole experience.
Orie is the one who did my hair since I also needed a perm consultation. I’ve never had a stylist actually talk me through my hair choices so much, which was great. I can’t do anything with my hair, so it was nice to talk through my options for a perm and what would look best. The haircut she did was great and exactly what I asked for. She was very pleasant to talk to as well through the cut.

I had a great experience at Salon Khouri. The check in process was easy and efficient. The nice young lady offered if I wanted anything to drink. I just had iced water but another customer had coffee, (to which they said was delicious!). My stylist, Kristin was very nice and attentive to what I was saying. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was patient, kind, and helpful when it came to the final result. I loved that she valued my opinion but also gave me her professional input. I will definitely be coming back to see Kristin for future events.

Jonathan is a gifted colorist and stylist. He takes the time to talk to his clients about what they want and makes great suggestions. It is a teaching salon so you will have to deal with interns assisting in the process but the results are worth it. I would recommend.

I have extremely fine, thin hair and have a hard time finding a salon whose stylist understands how difficult fine, thin hair can. I love Kelly. She understand my concerns and goes out of her way to make sure my cut and color look fantastic. I’ve had more complements in the last year than I have had in years. I will continue goint to Salon Khouri. The organic, natural products used are fantastic. In fact, Kelly and I are seeing new growth since I began using the products she recommended. I love the facials and am now using the anti-​aging products recommended by Judy. The atmosphere is welcoming and extremely friendly. Plus the massage chair used during the shampoos are wonderful. Needless to say, I’m a very happy client.

It was alright, defintely better salons around

I made an appointment online for Jonathan after I heard two of my coworkers raving about the cuts they got the week before. I was pretty excited about it considering that I’ve been barber shopping for about a year now.
However, when I got there I was told that my reservation wasn’t taken, and that I would have to switch with another stylist instead. The haircut that I wound up getting was alright, but nothing special. Certainly not what I was looking forward to.
When I make a reservation, I expect it to be held, not lost in the cloud. I also didn’t appreciate not being acknowledged by Jonathan himself. He walked right by me and whispered to the front desk, five feet away from me without even one word of apology. Is that the end of the world? No, but it never hurts to be pleasant with people, does it?
I won’t say that you can’t get a good haircut here– I’ve seen several people who have. But as for my experience, it left much to be desired.

Let me start by saying, I’m a Leo. My mane is important to me. I also have naturally fuzzy (sometimes curly) hair that can be a PITA to deal with.
I have placed the care of my hair in Kristin Fletcher’s skilled hands for the last 4 years. Other than her well-​known miracle work with highlights, Kristin is always on top of current styles and cutting techniques. Thanks to Kristin’s skills and the high quality products used at the salon, I have seen a drastic improvement in the condition of my hair.
The salon is clean, stylish, and comfortable too. My favorite part? The round color table. If you receive a color treatment, you don’t have to stare at yourself in the mirror. Instead, you are seated at a table that is filled with all your favorite gossip and style magazines. Sometimes other clients will join you. I have had some awesome conversations with other outgoing guests – it gives you that old time beauty experience in a modern setting. But there’s no pressure to talk. I have sat there silently reading too.
I can’t speak for the ability of the other stylists, but I love my visits here every 6 weeks.

Great cut and color at Salon Khouri. My hair always looks much better after a visit. I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Kristin at Solon Khouri for about 5 years. I switched to Salon Khouri from being a loyal customer at Red Door Spa because of the expense at Red Door. While I really liked Red Door, I’ve never been disappointed with the switch.
I have really thick, fast growing hair and Kristin recommended a product to help extend the time between coloring to help save even more money. We always talk about what type of color and cut I want before we get started. She has recommended some subtle changes, based on the shape of my face and skin coloring, that have made the styling look different while I was working on my longer term goal of growing my hair long.
Like some of the other reviewers, I too have had people stop me and ask where I get my hair cut. I’ve never hesitated to recommend Kristin and Salon Khouri.
The shop is decorated with soothing colors and they always offer you a drink before they take you back to the styling area. When they wash your hair, they lean you back in a message chair. They take their time with the shampoo and finish with a really relaxing scalp message — makes you want to just stay in the chair.
My husband and son get their hair cut with Jonathan, the owner. He does a great job!
I also like that the salon gives back to the community. They donate services to local charities and collected donations for a family hit by Hurricane Sandy.

I have been going to this salon since it opened and have almost always been pleased with the service there. Jonathan does an excellent job of listening to what I want and making suggestions based on the shape of my face of what would and would not look good.
Heidi has also done my hair and she is fun to work with. Spunky and ready to try something new if you are. She is also great with color!
I love the massage chairs while I am being shampooed. The shampoo technicians also give give excellent scalp massages. Bonus!
I appreciate that Salon Khouri gives back to the community too and frequently does fundraising events such as donating proceeds to various local causes near and dear to them.

I just LOVE this salon. My stylist, Megan p., is wonderful! Not only is she great at cutting hair and highlights, but she did my hair (and my bridesmaids hair) for my wedding in August 2011 and it was absolutely perfect. The salon is very professional and the prices aren’t outrageous. At my first appointment, when I first walked in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who asked me if I wanted a cup of tea or coffee.
My favorite part about the hair salon, it doesn’t feel like a hair salon! It feels like you are walking into a spa. There is art on the walls, and relaxing music in the background… can’t forget the massage chairs at the shampoo station!
I won’t go anywhere else and I won’t have anyone but Megan P. at Salon Khouri do my hair from now on!

It’s hard to find a hair specialist that you know you can trust. Over 10 years ago, I started seeing Jonathan El Khouri for color and cut. When he opened his own salon I quickly followed. I’ve never ever had a less than perfect experience. I think at this point he can read my mind, but when I want a change he can easily make recommendations that fit my look, personality and lifestyle.
I’ve also had the occasion to visit other stylists at the salon and they each have their own strengths which I find makes the salon so well rounded. The salon is very comfortable, has a trendy décor, and clean. You can be sure you we always be treated kindly, be on time, and get a fresh look at a great price.

Extremely friendly staff and my wife and daughter looked beautiful and loved the hairstyle. Plus, we got the 10% Unilocal discount.

After living in Northern Virginia for 5 years and going from salon to salon to find someone who does a great job with my cut and foil highlights, a friend from work suggested I try Salon Khouri. I am so glad I did! I’ve been going to Kristin for about 3 years and she is fantastic stylist! A real color expert that magically makes my hair look awesome when walking out the door! The salon also has great décor in a relaxing atmosphere. You’re offered a drink as you get your color done, massaging chair as your hair is washed/​conditioned, and even a take-​the-​stress-​of-​the-​day-​away head massage. (They had an awesome shampoo girl that gave the most amazing scalp massages, but she went through their apprenticeship program and is now a stylist there.)

Change is the only constant, and since I’m open to change, I went back to this salon after several conversations with a friend who loves it.
Orie is a great stylist, quite lovely and very talented. She gave me what I wanted, and now I’m a fan again. They also still carry excellent product lines you won’t find anywhere else.
Note: my friend who loves this place gets her hair cut and colored and it looks fabulous each time! Is it new talent? New energy? I say both. See for yourself.

Went back there again for a short hair cut. Made another appointment with Orie. She is the only Asian hairstylist, i believe.
I told her I wanted to get a short hair and she snipped snipped and it is done. I like it.
The hair style is short and matches with my face.

Unilocal is a place for customers to have honest reviews. My review is just that. Notice how «Comment from Jennifer E. of Salon Khouri 2÷15÷2010» has the same haircut and colour as the other reviewers. I never said that the hairstylists were not in any way unqualified! I said they all looked the same and I have just been proven right!
I also like the added touch of insulting my review as «not as serious as other reviews» with almost 200 reviews under my belt, I see how Jennifer E. sees me as not being «serious.» This is exactly the snotty attitude I hate about this place. BTW This salon will never receive my business, nor that of any of my friends ever again!
I believe the comment left by Jennifer E. was of more detriment than any review I could come up with on my own, so my 2.2 stars stand never to be changed since I never will come back.
I just noticed that Jennifer E. went through all of the negative reviews and posted snide comments of them… during business hours. Shouldn’t a certain someone be working as opposed to being on Unilocal
