Ate lunch here on way home. Fairfax had a lot of little eateries here. First time eating in this restaurant. Service was fast and efficient. Food was not too spicy the way I like it. Lunch special ordered. Mixed seafood with rice and noodles with tofu. Both tasty. Parking on the street, no meters yet. Lunch for two, tax, tip $ 34 at this writing.

We Iive in Marin County and come here often. We’ve tried practically everything on the menu and the dishes have been consistently delicious. They get busy but the service is friendly and efficient. Our favorite dishes are the spinach wrap appetizer, bbq pork, green curry and basil eggplant.

Food was mediocre and waiters were just plain rude. Also, I was shocked that they swapped mixed up orders after dropping them on each table.

I called in today to ask if they delivered, the person who answered the phone said no then quickly hung up. I was going to order for pick up instead but My guess is that they don’t care about keeping customers. I’m very disappointed and still hungry.

With limited choices in Fairfax Siam Lotus has became a go-to for lunch. Their pad Thai is done well and consistent as it their chicken satay. Prices seem expensive but portions are beyond generous. Worth checking out.

Siam Lotus is a hidden treasure! It’s the best Thai food i’ve eaten in Marin County, truly. The service is fast for freshly prepared food, and courteous, the décor traditional — a little piece of Thailand in Fairfax. The larb(chicken is my favorite, but the duck is good, too) is perfectly seasoned, the green curry delicious no matter what kind of protein you choose, the angel wings chicken crunchy and scrumptious, the ginger salmon perfectly moist, and delicately spiced, bok choy cooked to perfection. And yes, the mango sticky rice… Yum! I’ve enjoyed eating here for years; it’s rare to find quality you can count on over time. Yesterday i ate both lunch and dinner there! I decided it’s time to invite all of you, too, to enjoy the simple, healthy, real, delicious food.

Siam Lotus is my favorite place to eat in Fairfax. The staff is thoughtful, the food always great. Just had the Larb with chicken, spiced with mint and cilantro… exquisitely seasoned, reminded me of the best cooking in Laos. And the Green curry I had earlier this week was creamy with coconut and equally delicious. I love the Som Tum, crisp and tasty green papaya salad, and the Miang kum is a really interesting appetizer with ginger, peanuts and tiny shrimp and more wrapped in spinach leaves. My daughter loves the taco Ka nom Bueng and Thai Ice tea… We are so fortunate to have this food locally, and at Siam Lotus it is all served quickly, graciously and at a reasonable price. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Very pricey for what this place is! Got the bill for two people one of us had a beer and the bill was $ 48! I had won ton soup which was very salty and it was $ 12! There are so many other Thai places nearby with much better food for the price! Huge mark up!

Please DONOT eat here. I can kick myself for not Unilocaling it first. We were camping nearby. We were at the coffee house on the corner and my wife suggested getting an order of white rice to go. Since we just wanted a carton of white rice I did not check Unilocal.Once inside, she wanted vegetarian fried rice and pad see ewe. The food was absolutely atrocious. The noodles seemed packaged and the fried rice was almost inedible. I’m thankful we didn’t order meat. I do know authentic and Americanized Thai food and this was neither. If you think this is good food, please try some Thai places elsewhere to compare. They did not even know how to properly prepare prik nam plah, a condiment of fish sauce with peppers. I do not mind paying top dollar for quality food, but $ 12 for Pad See Ewe is price gouging. They blamed the high prices on the $ 15 minimum wage, but other eateries in the area don’t rip-off people like this. Wish I went to the Indian place across the street.

Food was forgettable, the food poisoning wasn’t. Hard to go back after that. For full disclosure, it was over a year ago that I ate there. Hopefully they will take better precautions in the future.

I absolutely hate to write a bad review for a small family business but I’m doing so in hopes they will read it and make some changes. Ordered a spicy chicken«house special» dish the other day. It was inedible — the worst thing I’d been served at any restaurant in the last 20 years. The ground chicken was full of bone and cartilage and the dish was without any flavor at all.(I saw there were chilis in there but they must have been dried and very old so they weren’t potent anymore?) Anyway, I hope they get a new chef because it’s a sweet little place and the waitress offered not to charge me since I only had one bite — but of course I paid for it.

This review maybe a little skewed due to a car full of hungry people that were on highway one in search of food. However, we were big fans on the quick service and tasty food. The proportion sizes were great, easy to share or full your starving belly. Our group got a curry which was fantastic and two vegetarian dishes. The eggplant basil was much tastier than the vegetable in vegetarian sauce stir fry… so if you had to choose the eggplant has a lot more flavor. Overall this was just what our group needed!

I live within walking distance of this restaurant, and I really WANT it to be great. But my experiences here simply haven’t been. Maybe I always order the wrong thing.(They must be really good at specific dishes, because some folks really enjoy them.) But each time I eat here I’m disappointed by lifeless flavors and servers who seem as if they’d rather be elsewhere. I want it to be great. But for me, it’s not.

This place only got 4 stars because in all the many Thai restaurants I’ve eaten and multiple times at each, I have never bothered to tried the mango sticky rice. I can’t believe this is what I was missing for so long! Sticky rice drenched in coconut milk with fresh mango slices! It made me want to keep going to thai restaurants just for the dessert portion. But if it weren’t for that experience, I would give it 3 stars for the service. The area where it is looked very cute and quaint and small-town like with a young crowd. And to have service like the kind we had was just disappointing because we had to ASK for our water to be refilled while other people were getting theirs refilled without asking. I thought that it was probably because they were in a group, but my friend pointed out that was not the case because a table of two behind us got a water refill without asking too. It was like we were invisible to them! Also the wait time was quite long, and the group that came in after us got ALL their food before us. A thought crossed my mind that they might be racist. But just a thought, no conclusions yet. Also, another weird thing is that they did not have Thai Iced Tea on the menu… Liked the décor very much though! All the various buddhas and the paintings.

I’ve lived in Fairfax for 20 years and have eaten here many many times with varying success. But it has generally been a good bet for local Thai food. However, tonight I called in to place an to-go order and was asking whether something could be made gluten free(I have Celiac disease — not just gluten free for fun) — and after not getting a straight answer, I asked politely once more whether the dishes could be made gluten free and was hung up on. I called back and asked what happened and was told rudely that«he ALREADY told me that and did I want to just cancel the order», I said«No, thank you» and was hung up on again. Needless to say, I called back and did cancel the order. What a bummer. That kind of outrageously rude service means more than one lost customer — for I will be encouraging friends to eat elsewhere.

Tasteless, bland food. No spice. Had to wait for the server to finish looking at her iPhone to get any attention. Never again. Tried the pad thai, pad kee mow, ginger salad, tom yum and sautéed eggplant. Not one of those dishes had any depth of flavor and thai spices.

I have been going to this place for years! Even though the food is a little bit pricey, the food is the best thai food I have ever had. The yellow curry is the best curry and I enjoy it every time. The people who work there have been there forever and know me when I call in !

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. We always order the Tom Yum soup with shrimp extra spicy, the pad Thai, and another entrée. I have never had poor service and we eat here all the time. Our tab is always around $ 43 for two entrees, our huge soup, and beer/drinks, so I don’t know why another reviewer said his tab was $ 70 but I’m sure that is not true. If you are able to get their braised pork ribs on the specials menu, you must — they are to die for and I’d eat here twice a week if it were a regular item.

Bravo for a beautiful dinner after a long, sunny day of 13+mi. hiking! Thx to A. for the reco that did not go wrong, on any count. If anything, the pad see ew was the most lackluster dish out of 15 that may have been an outlier… the special of slow-cooked braised short ribs were the hottest ticket; there were maybe 4 orders of it! Perfectly done… Curries did not disappoint, and neither did the well-rounded sampling of the menu. Not so innovative in offerings as much as adroit chef at the helm in the kitchen. Didnt think I’d have stellar Thai in such a town in Marin. Stand corrected! Great memory for about 12 of us. Get some Fairfax ice cream afterward, up the street… me, couldnt do it. No room, and wasnt about to immed. undo the hike *that* quickly!

Marathons sure do make a girl hungry and during my tour of SF, I really wanted to stop somewhere for Thai food. While touring the nearby cities and walking around for hours, we stopped here for dinner. The sign outside is intriguing. They will add gluten or lard on request. Pulled out the trusty Unilocal app and solid 4 – 5 stars, we were in business. I love having that thing handy. It’s such a life savor. :) When it comes to Thai food, I stick to the usual — Pad Thai, coconut chicken curry, and an order of fried rice. That Summer night it was also a bit chilly so I ordered the jasmine tea. I love that these restaurants brew the tea in a pot and then bring the pot to you. It was so delicious. I had several pot fulls followed by several pee breaks. :P And I’m glad I could request no lard or gluten with my food. We got seats by the window and got to view life on the street. The city of Fairfax is actually quite charming. This particular restaurant is located near an awesome ice cream shop and a bookstore/coffee shop. Parking is in the center and quite convenient. I drank my tea and sat and observed for a few minutes before they took my order. I was delighted that all my usuals lived up to their namesake but I agree with my friend. Next time I’ll branch out a bit and try something different at a Thai restaurant. Hey, sometimes a girl just has her favorites.
