I have been going to this place past 15 years, so far the change the owner three to four times, recently I visited to have my regular Soup that I always order, service was not too good specially with Waitress that I think she is a wife of the new owner, quality of food was poor with lots of monosodium glutamate, or MSG, in their foods, I had to drink five glasses of water and spring rolls was small and dry… well too bad I don’t think I ever go their again.

Really good phở, the servers are friendly and service is fast! The restaurant is cleaner than other phở places I’ve been to so that’s definitely a plus. If you are in the area and phở is in your head, give this place a try!

I have been meaning to write a review for Viet House for a long time. We moved from the area a while ago, and miss this place terribly. We happened to be in our old stomping grounds last week and went in for lunch. Our family loves to frequent hole-in-the-wall international eateries, and my husband does not pass by a place that serves phở without stopping at least once to try it. He has always loved the phở here. I get my usual of the pork vermicelli bowl, of which there is a lot and it’s always perfect, especially for the cold days we’ve been having. A starter of the spring rolls and a drink of iced Thai tea rounds the meal, and we’re set. The ambiance is tired, but we’re not there for that. It’s the food that kept us coming back, and makes us stop back in when we’re in the area.

The best tofu phở in the area, and I’ve tried a lot of places! I’ve been coming here for years. I’d rather drive a couple miles to eat here than go anywhere else.

My absolute favorite spot for Summer Rolls with tofu! You get 2 rolls with an AMAZING peanut sauce for just $ 3.75! It’s unbelievable. Fresh, tasty, perfect lunch for me. Also love the bbq chicken — comes with a lot! Staff is always so friendly. I always get take-out and its ready quickly, even when it’s busy — which they allllllllways are at lunchtime(good sign!). Please never leave!

Great for a quick phở fix. Used to come here all the time and even after not visiting for a year, it’s about the same– great phở, pretty good service, and clean. I say ‘pretty good’ service because the water refills are 50⁄50(some days prompt, other days not) but I’m not particular about that(especially at a phở place) and my stomach is pleased as punch every time! Notables: * Their spring rolls are exceptional. I don’t really know how to describe them other than perrrfectly crispy, porky and delightful with or without the fish sauce. It’s greasy, but what do you expect from a deep fried spring roll? If grease bothers you that much, stick with the summer roll(which is also delicious) * Take out packaging changed for the better. Not that I cared one way or the other for standard white styrofoam box, but this tub thing that it comes in now is pretty convenient. Just pour into the container and you’re good to go! The best part is that it now comes with a plastic PHOSPOON, not regular spoon! Granted, it’s still shallow compared to the average phở spoon, but still! Attention to detail is everything! * Also, I love their vermicelli bowls. It’s super filling, so if you have a small-medium appetite(1 spring/summer roll and small phở has me feeling pretty full) I’d pass on rolls and just get vermicelli bowl. It has a good amount of roasted pork, plenty of veggies and is so nicely balanced with fish sauce and cold noodles. super fresh, herby, crunchy, noodle slurpy, porky deliciousness. * Good bang for a buck meal

Prices are great for some of the tastiest Phở I’ve ever had. This is one of those great local secrets — you can’t go wrong here.

This is my go to phở place. Its close to my house. Its also close to a good will in case you want to go thrifting afterwards. I like their bun or vermicelli bowl. Service is also a hick and friendly.

Came here with mom and aunt. Viet House was close to where we needed to go to next, so we decided to grab lunch here. I came here one other time, years ago. It’s not one of the most memorable Phở experiences I’ve had but still OK. Service is friendly, which I greatly appreciate. I like that they offer fruit smoothie type drinks, though they aren’t the best. It’s not made with all fresh fruit, I taste some artificial powder stuff in there too. I still like the option of having a fruity smoothie drink with my soup. Their Small Phở had a generous portion of noodles, meats, soup, and other yummy goodies inside. The broth was lacking in depth of flavor but still quite tasty. I wouldn’t say this is the best Phở out there, but it was convenient for us and we had a pleasant experience here. There is plenty of seating inside.

This is a phở place. I literally came here for something small to tie me over til I got home. Ordered 2 spring rolls to go. They were crispy, light, flavorful and crunchy. Came with a side of some sort of seasoned vinegar with seasonings for dipping, sort of sweet. It was really good actually. I really wanted to check out the place before coming for a meal. The place is plain, not much ambiance.

Flavorful herbal broth, plenty of meat, right amount of noodles = great bowl of phở. Good spot for simple, inexpensive Vietnamese comfort food. I love their meatball phở(bo vien) the portion is very generous and I always leave satisfied. Their egg rolls are crispy, but smaller than the usual that I’ve seen at other Vietnamese restaurants, but still tasty. Customer service is OK, but they’re quick with water refills and orders. Come in, order, eat, pay at the counter, and you’re good to go.

3 stars for the food, 1 star for the to go containers. I have a cold so I’m pretty much sans taste but phở is my comfort food. I tried the white meat chicken, the meat is juicy and perfect size for chop sticks. I like that fish oil was included. Make sure you have the correct location, there are 3 in Fairfax. This location is past 123. I will return.

Used to go here often as it was right in the neighborhood, close to home, had good phở, was inexpensive and quick. But the last time I went about two months ago, the broth wasn’t very tasty, was unique like previous visits. It seemed as if the restaurant had changed ownership and changed the taste of the phở. Will probably try again in a couple of months because of the location before i simply give up on this restaurant.

Amazing phở soup flavor and great spring rolls. The smoothies are delicious as well. Customer service is not really present. You come in, order, get your food, and they don’t bother to come back until you are ready to pay. Doesn’t matter to me, the food is amazing. 5⁄5

This place is good if you like traditional Vietnamese food and don’t mind iffy customer service. I’ve been obsessed with phở these days! So I’ve dropped by this place at least once every couple weeks for the past two months or so. I always get their Thai Nam Gau Gan Sach bowl(#1-the one with everything in it) and it never disappoints. They always give a generous amount of meat and noodles. The soup’s flavor is very authentic and addicting– it’s what brings me back every time. Even with their bad service rep. I ordered for carry out once on the phone, and when I went in to pick it up at the expected time, they had just put in my order. Not knowing this at first, I stood around waiting, only to hear some lady at the cash register(who seemed to be the manager) talk smack about me in Cantonese to their waitress(guess she thought I didn’t understand) -.-” jokes on her(?) Other times when I dined in with family and friends, the waiter/waitress always forgot something from our order. Their main waitress is very sweet, seems to be fresh out of high school and off the boat. The owner on the other hand(or the guy who seems to be the owner) is a bit unsettling. He sometimes takes orders and brings the dishes out to you. But I’m actually scared to ask him for anything(like lime -.-” they just don’t give you enough per bowl) these days, since every time I do ask he looks like he wants to bite me. He’ll just give me this look and nod and walk away. Sometimes he doesn’t come back): and he knows english! I promise you that. Overall, the food is on point. No complaints on any of their phở or rice dishes from me, my family, or my friends. Their bubble tea is alright(it’s all flavoring, no real fruit) but others seem to like it much more than I do. Overlooking the service, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Love this place. The bbq pork and chicken dishes are very tasty and the service is very warm and friendly. Phở is prepared in a very traditional way, the broth is so flavorful. Spring and Summer rolls are a must. Highly recommended!

It’s really difficult to screw up Phở, but this came close. I only have two major perspectives for how to set up phở success. The broth shouldn’t be too dark or have fat pockets, and the noodles should be freshly added. You can usually tell by the texture on the noodles how long before arriving at the table they were added. Not only did both of these metrics fail, but the table smelled like It had been washed with a mop. Dank. Will not be back.

Best Vietnamese food in the western DC range according to my family. Excellent food, good prices, great service. Summer rolls and spring rolls great. Always get them before the main course. Phở Ga, the best. Broth is different than every other place, not sure why. Chicken is very thick pieces, dark or light meat. Chicken was juicy, not at all dry. Vermicelli lemon chicken is another favorite, always fresh, always very filling. Hefty amount of chicken, very tender. Definitely recommend the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Coffeezilla that even a Turk would love. The only down side is that everything is so good you end up with a food baby.(Oof)

Been coming here since I moved into the city of Fairfax about 7yrs ago. Their phở is consistent and I have to say the they more than just a hot bowl of phở. I highly recommend the vermicelli bowl. Grilled pork over noodles and cut up spring rolls heaven. I normally get the iced coffee for that extra kick of caffeine the stuff is high octane! The summer rolls are great also, fresh and tasty.
