I stumbled across this place as I was leaving Java Joe’s. I quickly threw my bottle of water in the car and ambled over to check out this new wine shop.
I had a rather pleasant discussion with the elderly lady who was running the place. Somehow we ended up talking about music, wine tastings, tattoos, renaissance festivals, more wine, a common acquaintance we both have, on and on.
I signed up for their e-​mail list — they do wine tastings every Saturday from 1:00 — 4:00 pm. This is close to my house — so I thought I would come back some time to check out their wines.
I bought a can of their Cajun peanuts to throw into the picnic basket for this Sunday’s Unilocal VA Wine Excursion.
Apparently they also have a second location in South Riding. Cool place!
