I’m torn with this review since all of the employees there were so nice and friendly! Too bad my salad was missing some of its toppings. :( I came in day before yesterday after a workout looking for a great salad. I’ve been trying to go vegan and saw that their ingredients were organic and locally grown. Cool with me. I love beets and decided on the Harvest Kale salad. According to the menu it comes with marinated kale, brussels sprouts, manchego cheese, sunflower seeds, beets, acorn squash, garbanzos and a sherry vinaigrette. I told them I was trying to go vegan and to hold the cheese. «Sure» they said. I take a seat at the little bar area next to the cashier and have a small chat with a girl cleaning while another girl goes over to the kitchen to prepare my food. At this point I’m looking around– the menu is nice and big over the cash register, cute blackboard drawing of a northeastern map for their locally grown ingredients and everything looked clean and was quite spacious. A few minutes later, the girl who was making my salad brings it over to me and off I go. As I’m settled and about to dig in I notice that the toppings were light on the salad. «I thought there was more on this» I think to myself. But I was too hungry to check and devoured it. Now, I know I have bad memory but I did manage to get a before picture. My salad was missing brussels sprouts and sunflower seeds. I had a ton of beets, which I LOVE, but the protein and vitamins from the sunflower seeds would’ve been appreciated. No one mentioned that they were out of brussels sprouts and/or sunflower seeds… or did the girl just now know what was on the salad? Not so happy and confused customer.

This place has been open for almost a year now and I just now got a chance to try it. I loved it! Clean space that feels inviting and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, nice view at the window to people watch, and the food… the food was great. I can’t remember the last time I ate a burger and fries and felt this good about it. I had the turkey burger with bacon, jalapeño mayo and slaw, and an acai smoothie. My daughter had a grilled cheese meal which came on multigrain bread with fries, broccoli, fresh applesauce and a drink. For the quality of the food and the portions, the prices are very fair. Will make a point to return now that I know what I’ve been missing.

The space and layout here is nice. And the concept of serving healthy food and utilizing local and regional farms for most ingredients is great. Meanwhile, they fall short in employing competent staff members. I was about to be overcharged for my order, why they were about to random charge me for a straightforward 1 item order with no add-ons is beyond me. Worst of all, the young employee did not even bother to apologize. Also, the taste of the food was not great, as John D. mentioned in his post, «meh» is an accurate description of how the food tasted. So, they need to up their game in respect to the flavors, ingredients they are putting together in their meals. And, they need to get rid of their employees who don‘t care about good customer service. There are still a lot of good people out of work in Connecticut, so I know they can find some better replacements.

Came in here for lunch, paid around 10 $ for a really small sandwich. Was really busy and packed. Hype here is healthy food for the fairfield crowd who will throw money at anything, when in reality they are just serving you smaller portions. The sandwich was meh tasting anyway.

I have had almost everything on the menu! Finally, a much needed restaurant with good clean food the way it is suppose to be; free of all chemicals, hormones and antibiotics. Plenty of parking just across the street behind the Fairfield Green Gazebo.

I remember going to b. good back in Boston and loving it. My buffalo burger was ok. I wish you could pick the temp since my burger was cooked to med well, which isn’t how I typically like my meat. My fries were burned and if I didn’t take them to go, I would have returned them. I’ll be back to see if my meal was just a little off tonight.

I visited this restaurant for lunch twice. The grain bowls were so delicious and I loved knowing that everything I was eating was grown locally. The burgers are also yummy. So glad there is a really health conscious restaurant close by. Will definitely go back!

Excellent — fresh, fast, vegan & vegetarian options, salads. Great quality, informal. Noise level is high at lunch.

Vegan and Meat-eater friendly! This place is so cute, and I love their philosophy of using local ingredients and supporting family farms as opposed to factory farms. They have photos of the local farmers where they get their food, adorning the walls. I loved the menu options and also the selection of drinks too! I tried the beet-ginger-lemonade and it was delicious!

I had high hopes for this place. I like the idea a lot. The space is inviting and I like the straightforward menu however be careful as it looks reasonable but it’s all in the up sell. EVERYTHING is an add on and additional pricing. When you get the bill your like«how did that happen». Their was 3 of us for lunch on a Sunday when it was not busy but it took forever to give the cashier our order. They had plenty of staff standing around but no one came up to the second register. The wait was due to a sizeable group of older ladies who had no idea how to order. This was not the restaurants fault except they could have fixed the situation but didn’t. We ordered 2 salads, 1 burger and fries. The salads came out 10 minutes before my burger. The squash salad was good. The watermelon salad would have been good if not for the amount of bitter collard greens in it. The salads were presented nicely. The burger came that was ordered rare and was a hockey puck. I sent it back and a medium burger came out. No apology, no sorry for the wait. I can handle a medium burger although a rare burger is the easiest to cook. The burger was just ok. I think it was more the whole grain bun was just too dense and overpowering for a small burger. Overall just no reason to go back. The fries were very good however.

Noisy busy during lunch which is a good thing! Expect little kids as moms/dads bring the tykes in and things can get a little messy on the tables and floors for those of you who want to work through lunch with your devices — keep your earbuds on and don’t get peeved if you need to wipe and clean before you sit — it is what it is and the staff does come by to sweep! You are here for healthy food sourced locally — and you get it here! Prices are reasonable for the Adopted Luke turkey burger with carmelized onions and mushrooms — $ 7.50 as of this post — and it arrives at your table fast. It is very good — juicy and tasty — I ate it so fast I didn’t post a pic! Haha! The onions are in a rich brown sauce, probably from the sautéed mushrooms. You don’t need any other garnishes — and that’s saying a lot for a(usually) tasteless turkey burger. There are beef and veggie burgers too, to satisfy whateverivores you might be. There are salads and smoothies, all are healthy and I’m sure they taste great — but I’ll review next time when I try the different items on the menu board. Finally, for those of you who need Wifi, just ask them for their SSID’s pwd.

Great, healthy and tasty options. What a nice addition to downtown Fairfield. I had a bowl with kale, quinoa, grilled avocado, tofu and curried veggies and it was delicious. Friendly staff too!

I stopped by this place out of curiosity today. Not knowing what to expect, I was immediately impressed by the décor and cleanliness of the establishment. However, seeing as how they just opened, there really isn’t any excuse for both of those things not to be top notch. So, in my opinion, this place is trying to build on the giant financial success known as Chipotle Mexican Restaurants. Although this is a burger joint and not a Mexican restaurant, there are many similarities. Both are pushing the«healthy food, but fast» image, both have a very limited menu in terms of entrees, and both cater to the same demographic. Whereas b. good does have a few more menu options such as kale smoothies and salads, it’s main menu is limited to burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, and chicken sandwiches. I ordered a chicken sandwich with caramelized onions and BBQ sauce. It was good, and the chicken was hearty, but I was slightly surprised by the bun, which appeared to be some sort of whole grain bun. Unusual for sure, but not unwelcome. Overall, I will be back, but I won’t be running back. Parking isn’t ideal and there’s just too many awesome burger options(Flipside, Plan B, Shake Shack, etc) on the post road to be limited to one establishment.
