The food isn’t too bad. I got the flat noodles and dumplings. But jeez the margarita had to be the worst I’ve ever had in my life!

Food is gross. Ordered pad Thai and it was missing the bean sprouts, chives, and flavor. It didn’t have any of the elements that make it pad Thai. They gave me a lemon instead of lime and it the taste was awful. I also ordered beef satay which tasted sour I threw it away because I questioned the freshness. I would never eat here again or recommend it. Waste of money!

Just came back from LC Chen’s, and really disappointed. The duck in the ginger duck tasted like 2 weeks old. Spit it out and complained, the waitress said she would check with kitchen, but never got an answer back. Don’t go! If you have to, stay away from the duck!

went there last night. the food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. service was okay, again nothing out of the ordinary. they never put the fried noodles like most Chinese restaurants do and when I asked they said it was $ 2.50 per bowl. never offered tea(again moat Chinese restaurants do not charge for tea) My biggest issue was with my dinner. I ordered steamed veggies, not too much broccoli. well it came out and after I took out all the broccoli, I was left with about 6 carrots, 5 mushrooms, a few snap peas and some baby corn. the cake they served for my son’s birthday tasted like lemon perfume and was grainy and partially frozen. you might be better off going somewhere else.

This was the WORST experience I have ever had in a restaurant. It took 2 hours for our food to come. The waitress kept telling us to wait when we wanted to place our order. They didn’t bring out plates or forks and when the food came we had nothing to eat on and took another 20 minutes to get plates and forks. We asked for more water and were told we can get more water LATER! When he says later he really means later, we never got the water! I will never go back! LC Chen never again

Enjoy the food here. Great avocado roll. Most dishes taste very fresh. Love their coconut fried rice. Tuna tartare was very good and fresh.

It’s curious why the ratings are low. Every time I’ve been here the food is been delicious the service is been excellent and the price is very reasonable. One of the other nice things about this place is that it is quiet and a great place for a romantic dinner. I can always count on having a great experience here and I hope you will too.

Stopped by for a casual dinner last Friday. Had been there before for lunch. Great food. Wife and I had the twin lobsters which were fantastic! Food always great and interesting. Agree with others though that service can sometimes be spotty.

This review’s based on trying this restaurant twice. First time here was for lunch and the food I remember was just ok, there’s plenty of other asian fusion restaurants in the area that are much better. Second time trying this place was a few days ago when I had ordered take out for a group gathering, about $ 100 worth of food. I figured I’d give them a shot, but again the food was not that great. The fried rice and lo mein noodles were average. The individual dishes were really sub par for the prices. Chicken dishes were extremely dry and bland. Observation Note* as i went to pick up the take out order for dinner around 8ish the parking lot was pretty empty, hence not too popular for dinner. figures… most likely will not be ordering again.

The food is very good but the service is just so-so. The Chilean Sea Bass is outstanding! It’s a must have.

Great lunch menu, it’s affordable and is enough quantity for one person. If your a little bit hungrier, then go for an extra soup. It’s about a buck or so more.

The sushi appears old and not fresh, and the taste does no justice. The noodles and other foods are sub-par. The delivery took over an hour! They are unorganized because when we called to see what was taking so long, they confused our order and spoke on the phone for 8 minutes with us because didn’t realize they had confused orders. The food the past few times has seemed off, but I figured maybe just a bad day. But this has happened frequently. Needless to say, last time we order from LC Chen’s.

Hadn’t been for a few months. We returned expecting another good lunch and were disgusted by what happened. Their new waiters are always a bit clueless but this one was terrible. It was a bad decision putting the waiter on a group of 4 regulars. The plates were filthy and stained. The waiter forgot to bring rice that came with the two sashimI lunches. Once my dad reminded them, they brought two bowls of regular rice, not sushi rice stayed on the menu. My salmon roll was barely keeping together and fell apart. When we requested new clean plates we were presented with equally dirty ones. Overall it wasn’t anything Like what we’d experienced before.

This is just around the corner from our house and we have bern driving by for months. Now we have been there for dinner twice in two weeks. The food is absolutely great! I had sushi twice and loved it.

Good food, a bit run down and terrible service. I went there for the first time this past Saturday and was surprised that with a party of 8, we were sat right away. Our waitress looked terrified, did not know the menu and was very disorganized. Entrée orders were taken long after appetizers were completed and the wrong plates kept going to the wrong places. Only one meal was completely incorrect and no other dishes went back. No drink refills, other than water by a another individual were given, although they were requested multiple times. Perhaps the waitress was new, but definitely lacked some personality and killed the experience. Sushi was fantastic and evenly priced. The duck and dumplings were also great, although the wonton soup smelled like a wet dog… sorry. Everyone enjoyed their meal, portions were great and the prices were fair. The restaurant itself appeared run down. The menus were dirty(come on guys), the table was worn, scratched up and had a thin food film on it and the floors could have used some cleaning. Overall there food was great, the service bad and the restaurant needed some new things. I would consider takeout from there but would not go back.

Got to go to LC Chen’s last night with my fiancé and my parents for dinner… as always, the food there is delicious! Service was pretty good, and our waitress was spot on when we needed more water, when I asked for chopsticks(and got them right away), etc. For a Sunday evening, it was quiet other than a few customers including us. My dad, fiancé, and I enjoyed the wonton soup, oh so yummy! Perfect for a cold Winter night! My mom had the Tom Yum soup, which has a spicy kick. Next we shared three appetizers: the scallion pancake, veggie spring rolls, & veggie dumplings. Love the creativity regarding the dumplings, using green(spinach) pasta instead. Now for the main course: my fiancé had the California Roll, made with cream cheese instead of avocado upon his request, and kani sushi, which he enjoyed(he loves sushi). My parents and I enjoyed two of my favorite dishes: Thai Mango Chicken(which was prepped differently this time, the chicken«julienned» instead of chunks, which was awesome), & Shrimp with Chili Sauce(good sized shrimp, lightly crisp, & the sauce had a delicious heat). Instead of the traditional white rice, we requested brown rice(healthier). Finished the meal with fortune cookies and fresh orange segments. All in all, a great meal! Whether it’s dine in or take out, LC Chen’s delivers!

The food here was very good and tasted fresh. Atmosphere was nice as well, though the entrance seemed a little crowded and the bar area was not much of a bar. I gave 3 stars because of the service, not the food. I feel that if the restaurant hired 2 or 3 bus boys the service would improve dramatically. We had to wait 10 minutes after we closed our menus to order and we were constantly asking for more water/refills. A bus boy or two or three would alleviate the waitstaff a lot and create a better experience for the customer.

We order from here regularly. Food is competent, and prices generally reasonable. Sushi’s on the expensive side, though. That being said, we recently ate here, and the service was abominable. Not only that, but the noodles that are thrown in the take-out bag are an extra order and an extra charge. It is crap like this that makes me want to eat elsewhere.

So I went for dinner here a few months back(I’ve been a regular for years) and the food seems«off». I kind of shrugged It off because I mean who doesn’t have a bad day – right? Well I went again this past Sunday and the service was terrible. There were only two people serving and the place was packed. I literally drank my husband drink before I had to get up and ask the lady at the front to bring me some water. The«twin lobsters» were so small and horrible chopped up. I almost broke a tooth on the shells that’s were left all over the place(in between the scallions). It was just an overall mess. They also own«Lilac House» further into Fairfield and the service was night. I would suggest driving a little further for a better experience. –Disappointed– this used to be my «go to» spot.

A little of the main road but well worth the trip. The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, strong drinks, and good prices. The sushi is just as good as wild rice but a better price not to mention more variety including Thai food and other fine Asian cuisines. Definitely a thumbs up!
